Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System-Chapter 1446: Battle At Sea
If Kent knew where he had to go to find Inaya, he wouldn’t have passed up on a chance to have some of the best battles he would ever have currently at his stage.
The Sea Serpent sounded like a powerful opponent that, if he could face in battle, would help him know where he was lacking and better prepare for the Star Gateway, where even a True Immortal-stage spatial beast is a danger to the average Immortal Monarch human.
Putting emphasis on the spatial beasts he would be facing, he knew he must handle all other things before coming back.
So he left.
Once he found Inaya and had managed to survive her wrath, he would come back.
However, he wasn’t leaving without some fun. He took the path leading east, so he was bound to meet the Green Scale Octopus Queen and Three-Headed Sea Lion.
"I wonder how strong they would be."
His curiosity started to get the best of him as he rapidly flew toward the east. The allure of testing how much more powerful he had become after forming the second Flame Core was eating away at his patience.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long for him to sense movements underwater.
By then, he had done about half of the trip. But the moment he sensed the movements, he slowed down, keeping his attention on every small change.
At first, nothing happened, which made him wonder if the Green Scale Octopus Queen and Three-Headed Sea Lion were afraid of him.
However, that changed when the sea suddenly surged, and two towering beasts appeared. The thought of whether or not they were afraid of him was wiped from his mind when he laid eyes on them.
He expected large and terrifying beasts to appear, but this level of size was just too much.
The sea did not merely part; it rose as though it had a life of its own.
At once, an ominous feeling enveloped Kent, causing him to activate a few thousand Blood Runes to stay grounded.
Water surged upward like a mountain being forced from the depths, spiralling violently as waves twisted around one another. The sky darkened from the sheer mass of it, and for a brief moment, Kent felt as though the ocean itself had decided to stand.
Then the first one emerged.
A colossal body broke through the surface — green scales glistening like polished jade under the dying sunlight. Eight massive tentacles followed, each one thicker than ancient oak tree trunks, lined with serrated suction ridges that shimmered with faint emerald light. Her eyes — two massive vertical slits — locked onto Kent midair.
The Green Scale Octopus Queen appeared, and her gaze was fixed on the tiny human standing before her.
Beside her, the sea detonated again.
Three massive heads burst out of the water at once, jaws snapping, fangs like curved swords dripping with saltwater. The body that followed was that of a monstrous sea lion, easily over three thousand meters long.
Each head bore different markings — one scarred and battle-worn, one smooth and silver-lined, and the last crowned with jagged bone protrusions.
"Can I even kill these monstrosities with a sword?" Kent muttered, his body feeling the pressure from merely standing before the two beasts.
It took him a few seconds to come to the conclusion that he could not fight them with a sword. The Three-Headed Sea Lion alone was about three thousand meters large. There was no way a sword could penetrate its skin.
Maybe if he were a Sword Monarch with an active Sword Realm, he could hold his own against them. Of course, that might also be possible if he were to face only the Three-Headed Sea Lion.
The Green Scale Octopus Queen was a whole different danger on her own.
"Time to see how I will fare as a dragon against beasts." Kent ditched the sword and decided to fight like a dragon.
He transformed, and while his size was nothing compared to the two beasts, the moment he roared, they felt the danger.
One tentacle moved at a surprisingly fast angle, arriving before him in an instant. However, he anticipated that move, so he moved just in time, narrowly evading it.
He moved, and with a deadly slash, he attacked the Three-Headed Sea Lion. But the lion was also waiting for him, so the moment his claw went in for a deadly blow, a metallic tail came from the side, striking Kent on the side.
He was sent flying toward the water.
The Green Scale Octopus Queen took advantage of that and attacked with two tentacles. One caused the water to surge and form into thousands of water spears.
The other moved in a sweeping motion, sealing the space around Kent. This move completely rendered Kent stuck in one place. He had nowhere to move, and the spears made of water were coming too.
Luckily, the seal was not affecting his Soul Map, so, looking at the right spot where he could get the most out of it, he teleported using the Soul Map, appearing behind the Three-Headed Sea Lion.
His maw opened, and red flames churned, instantly heating the air around them. The lion moved its body, and while it had no chance to dodge the breath attack that Kent was planning, what it did next left him stunned. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Just when the red flame erupted from his mouth, the sea froze, and then layers of ice appeared between him and the lion.
His breath attack landed on it, shattering a couple of layers in an instant. However, before he could make any progress with the rest of the layers, a powerful tentacle slammed into his side, sending him flying into the water.
Pain shot through his body, causing him to let out a roar that echoed in the water. He moved swiftly, and before the tentacles could reach him inside the water, he shot back up into the air.
The Three-Headed Sea Lion followed with a breath attack of its own. However, instead of fire, ice came out. This made Kent wonder just what the other heads could do.
The ice breath attack came, but this time, Kent was quick to activate the [Chaos Scale Shield]. The attack landed on it but couldn’t break through. He was on the move the next second, evading another tentacle attack.
With his speed amplified, he keeps weaving his way out of one attack after another.
Suddenly, the sea surged, and the water rose into the air, enveloping all three of them. Kent came to a stop, spreading his senses to check if a third opponent had arrived.
He quickly found out that it wasn’t the case. Someone else entirely was the cause.
Looking deeper into the sudden surge, what he discovered was just out of this world. In an instant, he saw the lion as the most difficult opponent yet.
He concluded without a shred of doubt that it was not an opponent he could defeat with just his dragon form.
Rising from the bed of the sea was a bone-like spear ending with a metallic spike. Around it, seven immortal Qi revolved, each exuding a power that far exceeded what Kent expected from an Immortal Emperor-level beast.
Turning to his left, he saw one head of the lion glowing silver, its eyes shining like crystal.
If at first the octopus was the opponent he feared, then the lion is on another level now.
The lion is the most dangerous creature he has ever met in his life. He can tell it by just looking at how much pressure it was exerting at the moment.
