Chapter 1463: Void Mark

[Congratulations, you have cleared the 10th floor of the Planet Killer Dungeon.]

A new message appeared before everyone, announcing that the harrowing mission on the 10th floor had been completed thanks to the brilliant efforts of Zareth and his team.

Although the win nearly came at a cost, they all finally understood how hard it is to fight immortals, especially True Immortals and above.

Initially, even with Enkay, who is also a True Immortal, they came close to losing Zareth. That shows there is just no way a warrior should underestimate their opponent before battle.

If Vexthra had looked down on Vorath and hadn’t prepared Kaizo and Kol as a backup plan, the main team, while Veydris would have prepared a good chance for Enkay or Ingrid to go for the kill, Zareth would have died.

So they learned, and next time, they would know what to do to have the upper hand.

"That was an eye-opener," Zareth said, taking a deep breath. Then he turned to Veydris. "I can’t believe you actually chose to let me die."

While he was not angry, the mere fact that Veydris didn’t do anything when he was in danger but went to Ingrid’s rescue when she found herself in a pickle made him smile.

The bias was plain as day.

When it comes to Kent’s wives or just any lady at all, Veydris would not hesitate to save them.

"Don’t blame Veydris. He is a logical being, and so he knew you wouldn’t have died even if you had died." Irina, of course, came to her boyfriend’s rescue.

While Veydris had never spoken a single word nor even made any advances toward her, Irina always hung around him, bothering him with long talks.

In her defence, she claims Veydris is a good listener.

Quite ironic, if one thinks about it critically.

But then again, their happiness is what Vexthra is after, so if she thinks Veydris is the right one for her, then why not?

Already, the men in the legion had started approaching the ladies in the various tower cities. Zareth already had a Sky Fox girlfriend, so there is no harm in letting Irina infatuate herself with a metallic robot.

It isn’t like this was the first time it had ever happened.

"It was indeed an eye-opener, one that had shown just what all of you would perform under pressure," Vexthra said.

She then turned to Elyndra. "I saw how you controlled the battlefield and how brilliant you were in coming to the aid of your teammates.

That was impressive, and so I will teach you an aspect of space law that, if mastered, will take your control of space to a whole new level."

Elyndra nodded.

She was impeccable in all the moves she made during the battle. She made sure their movements more fluid and easy. However, when Zareth found himself in danger, she saw how limited her control over space truly was.

So since Vexthra wanted to aid her, she wasn’t one to reject that.

Vexthra turned to Ingrid next.

"It seems you still need some training on how best to use the void, Ingrid. I saw how you could have taken advantage of certain moments to deal a terrifying attack, but you let them pass. While you came close to injuring it a few times, you could have done better."

"I will work on that, big sister. This happened to be my first big battle, so I was overwhelmed for a moment."

"Then be sure to fix that before the next big battle. If you want, you can go back to the tower and use the time difference to enter seclusion. I am sure you have identified your limitations and would work toward improving them."

"I will be fine, big sister. I have the knowledge. I just need the experience." Ingrid paused for a moment before an idea popped into her mind. She turned toward Axiom. "You are a Void Architect, right?"

Axiom nodded.

"Take me as your disciple. I want to improve my control of the Void. I have the knowledge, and, like you, I am a Voidling with half my bloodline awakened. If you can help me improve my control over the Void, I will be eternally grateful."

Axiom stood there for a few minutes before a sigh escaped his lips.

"To tell you the truth, you already have all you need to master the Void even more than me." He pointed at Ingrid’s left hand, where a lotus flower tattoo could be seen.

"That is not a tattoo; it is a weapon mostly known as the Void Mark." Kailan and Kol nodded. On the other hand, Ingrid and her sisters started paying close attention, Vexthra included.

"Back in the Void Universe, there were rumours of people possessing these tattoos. They called them Void Marks, and what they can do is very simple.

They can be used for attacks, defence, and, to some extent, healing."

Axiom waved his hand, and a large book appeared before him.

When Kol and Kailan saw this, their eyes widened.

"No way," Kol exclaimed.

"You were the one who stole the Void Codex from the 13th Void Supreme."

Axiom grinned. "That bastard had the guts to violate my sister until she died. He is lucky I only stole his life’s work. The next time we meet, I will be sure to smash his face in."

"We will help you. I also have beef with that bastard. He had better prepare himself for the kind of torture I have prepared for him," Kol also said, the three of them flashing an evil smile.

This sight scared the ladies and even a few of the men.

"Maybe we should go back to the Void Mark."

"Oh yes." Axiom flipped the pages till he reached one showing the same lotus tattoo on Ingrid’s arm.

"It is called the Seven Bloom Lotus Flower, one of the ten Void Flowers. This one uses a special flame called the Underworld Void Flame to harness its power.

Every petal has a unique power.

From what has been recorded here, the first petal can summon a Void Dragon two realms above the summoner. The best part is that the dragon won’t rely on her command or Void Essence to fight.

The second will grant an ability called ’Void Annihilation,’ where, thanks to the Void Mark, every attack has three times the original effect.

And the third petal, when it is harnessed, will also summon a Void Being known as a Void Knight. These knights are like judgment gods that the Void created as a defence mechanism for the Void Race.

If she can harness just one, then perhaps among all of us, she will be the most powerful. So you don’t need my help; you are just lacking one important aspect of your power."

"The Underworld Void Flame," Ingrid muttered, and Axiom nodded.

"I believe that is the last flavour you need to harness your power. It may even be the last ingredient you needed to complete your bloodline" He flipped to close the book; however, before the page could close, an image appeared for a moment.

"What is that?" Ingrid asked, pointing at the image of a wolf.

"Oh, this is one of the Void Monarchs. They are Void Beings created and blessed by the Void Dao. Every last one of them can harness the true power of the Void and bestow it on their master." Axiom paused and let out a smile.

"There has never been anyone who managed to tame a Void Monarch. Of course, it is just a rumour, but some claim somebody has done it before.

However, from what I read in this book and know, nobody ever recorded in the Void Codex succeeded in taming a Void Monarch."

Vexthra and her sisters gave Ingrid a sidelong glance.
