Prince of The Abyss-Chapter 190: Denial(16)
He scoffed. "Lying, huh? Come on, I was already inside that memory, I saw everything, you don't need to lie."
...
"But..." The Abyss looked at him, genuinely confused. "I'm not lying, I've... never been in a black desert."
Aether squinted his eyes, trying to find any hint of falseness in his voice, or just anything that would prove that he was lying, but he couldn't; his voice seemed sincere. Which... made his mind go blank.
'Huh...?'
He just froze, really. Not that type of freezing out of fear, but rather, because his brain didn't give his body any more instructions but to stand. Really, it was an empty cave. Everything got turned upside down and thrown out.
'He... hasn't... but.'
It didn't make sense; those memories weren't his, so whose could they be? It could only be his or the Abyss's.
Yet at the same time, he remembered what Voidpiercer had said to him about the rock he found in the desert.
'It isnt related to the Abyss.'
So was Voidpiercer not lying to him all this time?
But...
Huh?
"Wow, what's up with you? Did you die or something?"
The Abyss said while poking his cheek, one time, two times, three times, he didn't react.
He didn't because that wasn't important to him at the moment. If those memories weren't from the Abyss than from who? He already clarified that they couldn't be places from this world.
...
Maybe they were places he had read about in books? And that was why there was a border, because he only had the information given to him.
But even if that was the case, he had never read a book about a black desert, and he definitely hadn't seen anything about a rock like the one he had found, so what the heck.
Suddenly, though, before he could think more about it, the Abyss hit him in the head.
"What is up with you today? We don't have time for this, we have to get a way to find a way out of this place."
Aether rubbed the spot where the Abyss had punched him. He really hated this guy, and he really wanted to figure out the whole memory stuff, but he was right, getting out of this place was his objective, as much as he wanted to figure out everything, it wouldn't help him with everything if he just died here.
"Alright, alright... but do you even have a plan in mind?"
The Abyss smirked.
"I do."
And it was definitely not going to be a good one. Just from his expression.
"Well, break the ground!"
And he was right. It was indeed a very, and I mean very dumb plan.
"You know, for a God, you really aren't that helpful. Did you even see the distance between the two floor, i waited in that lift for so much time, there's no way I can survive the first fall!"
The Abyss rubbed his chin in annoyance at that... while he was just surprised that he gave up on the plan so easily.
"Then we will break the wall."
...
"And what then?"
The Abyss laughed, holding his chin as if he were a genius.
"You..." Aether waited patiently... and really, he hated to say it, but he was a little nervous. This was going to decide everything; what he was going to say next would be the most important part of the plan.
"Will see."
...
"You have to be fu-..."
...
When Aether blinked, he found himself back in the room again. The first thing he noticed was Denial sitting back in his throne. You could hardly even see the guy, since both the throne and he were made out of the same light.
As Denial noticed he was back, he got up from his throne. Getting back on his feet. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Aether watched... while slowly moving towards a wall.
Denial noticed, dashing forward, knowing that he was full of tricks.
'Damn it.'
He saw him coming hand first, ready to grab him, but before he could grasp him, he ducked.
Only to be met by a knee to the face.
Aether felt his nose break. The force used by this guy was a lot more powerful than it was before, almost as if it were angry.
He wiped the blood from his nose, but before he could do anything else. He swiped his leg off the floor, making him fall to the ground.
Hitting the ground, Aether quickly put his guard up, as Denial started to punch the arms that covered his face.
Really, he hadn't gotten beaten up in this style since Frozen Crown with The Ace...
But... even if he had gotten beaten up badly, he had still prevailed.
...
And this wasn't any different.
Aether moved his head out of the way and let his arm fall, making Denial punch the ground, then he quickly propelled himself up with his feet. Yet this had made his feet burn, since it wasn't something easy to do, even more so when his body was so tired.
He had done this, since again, he knew he would just go through Denial's body,
After getting back on his feet and out of the barrage of punches, Aether quickly got Voidpiercer, thrusting toward the wall, but before he could pierce it, Denial caught it with his bare hand, moving it down into the floor, and stepping on the blade as he gave him another knee to the face.
'This... was very disrespectful.'
...
He smiled.
'Wasn't it... Voidpiercer?'
Aether felt a fire start burning in him, with Voidpiercer's rage burning brand new inside his heart, and he quickly tensed his grip on his blade, fighting with Denial's grip, and in the end, he was able to get it out of his grasp and from under his feet.
And as Denial had to deal with getting his balance, he quickly turned and pierced the wall.
Watching it crumble.
He leaned over the edge, looking down, and saying how high he was, he felt his heart rate fasten.
"What now!" He said, watching as Denial was close to attacking again.
"Jump."
...
"What do you mean, jump! I'm not jumpin-"
Aether felt a push. As he fell, the sudden wind blew in his face. He turned around, only to see Denial standing over the edge, looking at him. Shaking his head in disappointment.
Had he been the one to push him? But why?
'What do you mean by " why? " I'm dead! What other reason?'
Of course, Denial, seeing the opportunity,y had pushed him off, knowing that he had no way of surviving. Really, there was no reason to keep him there, to continue fighting him, to continue trying to get him inside these illusions, and to try to make him go insane.
When there was a much easier way to get rid of him. And he had been the one who created it.
Really... he didn't know why, but he felt a deep hatred burn inside his heart at that moment.
...
He felt discarded.
...
"Alright.... Fine... throw me away like a toy, but I will be back..."
...
But um, when was the Abyss going to come back and say to him what he was supposed to do next?
He blinked twice.
"Hello? What do I do next?"
The Abyss seemed slightly embarrassed to speak.
"I may, or may not, have not thought this far."
...
Aether stared at the sky... sighing, before gritting his teeth.
"I really have to do everything alone."
Not wasting anymore time, Aether used Hair Extension to grow his hair, and when he said grow, he didn't mean to his shoulders, but a lot more, to the point it was double his size.
With his hair now grown, he cut it all with Voidpiercer.
He wasn't sure this was going to work, but it was the only thing he could think of. He was going to use his hair as a rope.
Aether closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, as he threw his hair towards the palace, hoping that it would catch on something, and more importantly, that it would be able to keep his weight and not rip.
...
He waited.
...
And waited.
...
Until he suddenly stopped falling, he opened his eyes, and looking up, he saw that his hair had gotten stuck on a broken pipe sticking out.
He exhaled, relieved that he had survived.
But there was one more thing.
How... was he supposed to get down, after all, he was just hanging down a pipe.
His hair was probably not going to resist.
And if it did, the pipe wouldn'd.
And if both somehow resisted.
He wouldn't
There wasn't anywhere for him to put his feet on, so he was bound for his arms to get exhausted from hanging for so long.
So... he'd better think of something, and fast, since he already felt his arms starting to burn and get tired, a way for him to get down.
Should be easy...
Right?
