Chapter 307: Trip To The Village

King Ralden, with his deep dark eyes, gazed into the queen’s brown ones. Zanzara’s legs turned into jelly. She wanted to drown in those gazes. The king’s gaze would always take her breath away.

He leaned closer to her so his lips brushed the tip of her ear. A tingling sensation spread from her ear to all parts of her body.

"Then, my Queen, you should beat her into it." He whispered into her ear with his deep seductive voice.

"Of course, my King. I will do anything for you." Zanzara said in a daze.

...

Soon it was the weekend when the students of the Lireyan Alpha University were scheduled to visit a remote village in the town of Legunes. They were to deliver the funds that the school raised to build houses for the villagers. They would also participate in building the houses.

The laid-back town was located at the northern tip of the main island of the capital and it would take them two hours to reach via the high-speed train.

Amaya and Juliene arrived at the train station where the students and the faculties assigned to work on the village agreed to assemble. A few of the students who volunteered were already in the waiting area holding a cup of coffee while happily chatting with each other.

"Princess, you arrived early." Stephane, who was sitting beside the student council president and leisurely sipping his coffee stood up and greeted the princess. He looked around and noticed a few bulky men in civilian clothes loitering around the waiting area.

"Good morning Professor Gray. We arrived just in time." Princess Amaya answered respectfully.

Lionel, the student council president handed the two ladies two sandwiches and 2 bottled water. Stephane intercepted one sandwich and bottled water from him and personally handed them to the Princess.

"I know that you woke up very early and had no breakfast yet. Please have a bite. Here is also coffee for you." Stephane’s voice was deep and pleasant, though not as pleasant as that of the King of Ra-iya.

Julienne ignored the food that Lionel was handling her. She instead grabbed the things from Stephane’s hand, murmured a perfunctory ’thank you’, and passed them to Princess Amaya.

Both Stephane and Lionel were taken aback by Julienne’s action.

Julienne gave them an innocent smile. She then reached out to take the sandwich and the bottled water from Lionel’s hand.

"Thank you, Professor Gray." Princess Amaya said politely. She was about to take a sip from the paper cup that contained the coffee given by Professor Gray when a big fair hand took it away.

"Princess, here is the macchiato that you asked me to buy earlier. Sorry for being late." A rich husky voice reached Stephane’s ear and it irked him. The voice sounded faintly familiar. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

The guard took a sip of the coffee he took from the princess and he coughed.

"I haven’t tasted a coffee this bitter." The royal guard threw an accusing look at Professor Gray as if he was saying, ’Are you trying to poison the Princess?’

Professor Gray was dumbfounded. He could feel that the two people beside Princess Amaya were very guarded against him.

Princess Amaya finished her breakfast. When she looked around, she noticed that thirty students were waiting in the lounge area.

"How many students volunteered?" Amaya asked the student council president.

"There are thirty of us, Princess."

Amaya frowned. "It looks like everyone is already here. Are we still waiting for someone?"

"Ah, we are waiting for Natalia," Stephane replied with a frown as he checked his watch. "There is still 15 minutes from our agreed boarding time."

Stephane just finished speaking when Natalia, wearing high heels got down from a black Bently. A woman who looked like her servant went to the back of the car and brought down a luggage that was big enough to fit a month’s worth of change of clothes.

"Pfft. Does she think we are going on vacation?" Julienne tried so hard to suppress her laughter as she whispered into Amaya’s ear.

Stephane looked displeased. "You should have carried just a backpack. We will only stay there for three days and not a month."

Natalia who was smiling like a sunflower froze. She looked awkward for a moment. In a flash, she adjusted her facial expression and replied gently.

"Well, it is always better to prepare. We can never tell what will happen in a remote village. Better be ready than be sorry later." Natalia spoke with the confidence of a princess.

Princess Amaya checked her watch. "Aren’t we leaving yet?" She asked impatiently.

’Uhmm, Princess, we are still waiting for someone." Lionel stammered and felt embarrassed when he saw that Princess Amaya wanted to leave.

Princess Amaya sighed. When she started using the smartwatch, she became particular about time. She was always on time when she made appointments as she did not want to waste other people’s time. Time was precious.

Princess Amaya stood and started pacing.

Stephane who was sitting down with Natalia could not stand Amaya’s restlessness. He stood and approached Lionel who was standing beside a pillar and looking at the entrance of the train station.

"Let’s divide into two groups. You take Simeone, Rodrigo, and Geronimo with you to wait for Fiona Chase while we go ahead. Let’s meet at the station in Laterra.

Lionel, the student council president thought that it was a good idea and nodded vigorously.

Stephane stepped in front and cast a cursory glance at all the people in the waiting area.

"Except for them," Stepahne gestured toward the four people huddled near the pillar, "all of us will board the next train so get ready."

He approached Princess Amaya and tried to take her luggage but before he could even grasp the handle, a pair of strong hands beat him into it.

"Professor, I will take care of the Princess Amaya’s luggage." The royal guard from earlier said in a decisive voice.

Stephane scanned the man from head to toe. He wore faded jeans a black shirt and a black leather jacket. He looked like he was in his late twenties. His raven black hair was carelessly tousled over his shoulders. His two black orbs were cold and piercing. He was giving off a familiar aura but how could it be him?
