Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 33 Why Did You Just Let Her Go Like That
Chapter 33 - 33 Why Did You Just Let Her Go Like That
Just as Lily Turner anticipated earlier, even though those paparazzi spotted her, each one was subdued by Luke Crowe, and she followed her self-assumed mob boss into the apartment without any hesitation.
Whether it was Easton Holmes' overwhelming presence or the intimidation of his mob boss persona, Lily Turner felt an invisible pressure. Since getting into the car, she hadn't dared to look directly at him, always averting her gaze.
Once in the elevator, Lily instinctively stood by the elevator buttons, ready to escape at the first sign of danger.
Easton glanced at her and stood by the door.
"Wait a minute!"
Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a young girl rushed towards them and squeezed in at the last second, "Thank you!"
Lily lowered her head, letting her hair fall to shield her face. She could only hope the little girl didn't recognize her. She was already having a tough day and couldn't afford any more trouble.
"Hand it over!"
Easton's cold voice echoed beside her. Lily frowned in confusion and instinctively turned to look at him, only to see his back. As she pondered his words, she suddenly heard him say, "Don't make me use force."
His presence exuded a chilling aura, and the temperature in the elevator dropped significantly.
"Brother! W-What do you want me to hand over? I don't have any money on me," the young girl said nervously, retreating into the corner of the elevator.
"You should know exactly what I want. Keep babbling, and don't blame me for not being a gentleman." As Easton spoke, he stepped right in front of the young girl. If it hadn't been for her being a girl, he would already have acted.
The young girl looked around, realizing she was cornered with no way to escape. She sighed, turned around, and took out a miniature camera hidden in the breast pocket of her clothing, obediently handing it over to Easton.
"Which newspaper are you with?"
From the moment the young girl entered the elevator, Easton noticed something off about her. If she hadn't been a girl, he would have kicked her out of the elevator without a second thought.
Only at this point did Lily realize that the girl who had rushed in was an entertainment journalist. Thankfully, Easton had noticed in time, or else she would have been secretly photographed again.
These entertainment journalists are truly pervasive, managing to come up with all sorts of tactics.
Lily wanted to rush over and question the young girl, but since Easton was already interrogating her, she decided not to add to the chaos.
"Daily Weekly!" Easton's expression had darkened significantly. The young girl, frightened by him, answered truthfully, not daring to lie.
"You can leave now."
Easton stepped aside to give the young girl a way out. Reluctantly, she glanced at the item he held before departing the elevator.
Seeing Easton let the young girl go so easily, Lily grew restless, "Why did you just let her leave like that?"
That girl was a journalist, an entertainment journalist. Once outside, she would definitely spread rumors, and Lily wouldn't be able to defend herself no matter what she said.
She initially thought he would do something, at least warn the young girl a few times. But he simply said indifferently, "You can leave now."
