Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 726: That Man is Huo! Zheng! Qing!
Amber Wood’s hostility toward Lily Turner has always been a mystery to her. She wonders why she can’t seem to please this woman, who always has harsh words whenever they meet, sometimes even adding insulting remarks.
Though puzzled, Lily never thought it had anything to do with her mother. She always assumed the woman believed she wasn’t good enough for her son.
That scumbag was only treasured by this woman and another one. Just thinking about him now makes her sick. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Charles Thompson, thinking Amber disliked Lily, never considered any other reason, as he had no idea she had found out about the secret he kept locked in the drawer.
"Don’t stir up trouble for no reason, let’s go."
Charles reached out to grab Amber, who was trying to start something, but his hand grasped at nothing as she had already sidestepped him.
When Henry Thompson first brought Lily home to meet his parents, Charles was particularly kind to her, which Amber initially overlooked. But when she got a good look at Lily’s face, she suddenly understood.
She realized her son’s girlfriend bore a striking resemblance to the woman in the photograph hidden in her husband’s drawer, and immediately her expression soured.
She secretly investigated further and truly uncovered the truth.
Her son’s girlfriend was indeed the daughter of that woman, a revelation that struck her like a bolt from the blue.
"How am I stirring up trouble? I was just casually chatting with her." Amber, angry, glared at her husband who kept shielding Lily, then turned to Lily with disdain in her eyes, "I’ve heard you’ve found a remarkably excellent man. Would you care to tell us who he is?"
Lily and Easton Holmes’s relationship started secretly and suddenly; no one knew about it at first. Gradually, a few people learned of it, but it was still quite limited.
Up until now, only a very select few knew about the two of them — just their families, the Taylor Family, and a few of Easton’s close friends. No one else was aware.
Charles Thompson only found out earlier this afternoon through an anonymous text message; before that, he had no clue.
His initial reaction was to think someone was playing a prank on him. He tried calling to find out who was behind it, but the line was already switched off.
Even after calling several times, the phone stayed off.
To verify the truth of the situation, Charles Thompson brought Amber with him to the Turner Family home. Before arriving, he did not call Christopher Turner.
Because he doubted the authenticity of the message, he thought calling might be too sudden. Visiting in person seemed more reliable.
If it were true, he could claim he was visiting to offer congratulations. If false, he could discuss the matter of the two children further.
He hoped for the latter, but upon arrival, he discovered the message’s content was undeniably true.
The situation was not what he wanted or expected, and the harsh truth dealt him a heavy blow, catching him completely off guard.
"That man is Easton Holmes!"
Alice Turner saw the scorn in Amber’s eyes and was already dissatisfied with Amber’s previous poor treatment of Lily.
She was no longer willing to tolerate the woman stirring up trouble, especially since her sister had already broken up with that scumbag.
