Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 956: I Won’t Overthink Anymore
Over the phone, Lily Turner heard the sound of her sister Alice Turner slapping her forehead on the other end. She joked, "Sis! Do you enjoy torturing yourself that much?"
Tomorrow she planned to visit, hoping to meet up with her sister and have a chat. Discussing things over the phone was really inconvenient, and she didn’t want anyone else to hear what they were talking about.
"Yeah, I do!"
Alice Turner laughed and responded, then gestured silently to Thomas Fisher, who was watching her take the call, indicating for him to start driving.
On Lily Turner’s end, she had no idea what was happening over there. Hearing Alice say she wasn’t home yet, Lily assumed her sister was driving and didn’t say much else. She was about to hang up, "Sis! We can talk when we meet tomorrow. Focus on your driving for now."
"Okay, see you tomorrow."
In the current situation, Alice Turner really couldn’t continue the conversation with Lily. If her sister picked up on something, she hadn’t yet figured out how to explain it all.
Her mind was a mess, and she needed to sort things out. Only when everything was sorted out could she let everyone know with confidence.
"See you tomorrow!"
"See you tomorrow!"
After saying see you tomorrow to each other, the sisters both hung up the phone.
"Will Tom be going tomorrow too?"
As soon as she hung up the phone, Thomas Fisher’s voice drifted over from beside her. Instinctively, she turned to look at him, stunned for a moment, before slowly shaking her head, "I don’t know."
She wouldn’t invite that man to go with them, but whether her parents would call him, she didn’t know. That wasn’t something she had control over.
"You don’t know?"
Thomas Fisher was surprised by Alice Turner’s answer and couldn’t help but tilt his head to glance at her. In his heart, he didn’t want Tom to accompany her back to her family home, but he couldn’t stop it.
"Yeah."
Alice Turner softly acknowledged. She initially didn’t want to say more, but seeing Thomas’s face darken, she quickly explained, "Tomorrow’s visit is a big family event. My dad will definitely call their family. It’s very likely his parents will go, but whether he goes is uncertain."
When her sister got married, that man didn’t even want to go to her house, let alone for a regular visit. He wouldn’t take it seriously, and she didn’t care if he went.
Hearing Alice specifically explain this to him, Thomas Fisher’s expression quickly turned brighter, with a cheerful curve forming on his lips. He tilted his head to look at her but didn’t say anything.
"Focus on driving and stop overthinking," Alice hinted as she noticed his mood improve.
Thomas Fisher caught the underlying message and, ensuring everything was safe, glanced at her. "Got it, I won’t overthink anymore."
How could he not overthink? He was driving her to her home, a place he couldn’t visit casually. The thought of that home being shared by her and his brother made him feel uneasy.
Thomas Fisher gradually slowed the car, just wanting to have a bit more time alone with Alice Turner. However, no matter how slow he drove, they eventually reached their destination.
"I’m heading in, goodbye!"
After the car stopped, Alice Turner waved to Thomas Fisher and turned to open the door and get out. But as soon as her hand touched the car door, he grabbed her. She turned back, puzzled, "What’s wrong?"
