Chapter 215 Intense
?It had been three grueling hours since the arrival of the seventh night, and the situation at the walls of Camelot had reached a boiling point. The vast expanse across the horizon was now filled with tens of thousands of undead, a formidable army of darkness marching in eerie unison. The ground trembled beneath the relentless advance, with zombies, skeleton warriors, archers, and revenants leading the charge. Sinister abominations were also scattered throughout, slowly following the macabre procession.
Amidst the palpable anxiety, players desperately attempted various strategies to impede the relentless undead onslaught. Fires, pitfalls, and makeshift barricades were employed, but after three exhausting hours, these tactics began to crumble, and the undead started scaling the walls.
"Do not let them set foot on the wall!" Captain Carter roared, leading the defense of the western walls with over 2000 men.
Lieutenant Steele commanded Alpha Company, Lieutenant Sanderson held Charlie, and Lieutenant Marsh led the Wolverines. Each officer marshaled their respective companies, consisting of various classes gathered; soldiers class wielded ranged weapons, warriors class brandished swords, and knights class holding shields. The rotations of buffs and positions occurred every 30 minutes, ensuring the soldiers maintained their stamina and strategic effectiveness.
On the eastern wing, Captain Thierry of the French military collaborated closely with Cairo leader Youseff, employing a similar delegation strategy for their players. However, they strategically centralized upon their ace player, Captain Amon, at the main gate to counter any sudden threats.
In contrast to the Roman walls, the formations on this Camelot's walls were considerably tighter. This disciplined structure allowed the players to withstand the undead assault more effectively, capitalizing on their pre-existing knowledge of the capabilities of each enemy unit type.
Particularly concerning were the Abominations. As soon as one approached the wall, a dedicated team of volunteers would bravely leap into the horde, aiming to impede the advance of the monstrous creatures. Meanwhile, dozens of ranged fighters focused their special skills, unleashing a barrage of fire upon the towering giants. This tactical sacrifice often resulted in the deaths of several players, but it was deemed a necessary price to maintain the integrity of the wall.
When the dedicated teams struggled to contain the Abominations, dynamites became a crucial tool to reset the situation and eliminate the menacing foes. The defenders coordinated their efforts meticulously, understanding that strategic sacrifices were essential to preserve the safety of Camelot's walls.
[22:00]
As the clock struck four hours and the moons cast their gentle light upon the sky, the night took an even darker turn. Dozens of winged creatures descended, shrouded in the cloak of shadows.
[Gargoyles]
[Type: Inhuman]

These winged creatures, known were a formidable menace with wings resembling bats and hides as resilient as stones. Their predatory descent, akin to eagles, featured razor-sharp claws on both their arms and feet, making them lethal adversaries.
A grim fate awaited any player caught by these creatures—either torn asunder by the creature's immense strength mid-air or meeting a swift demise upon impact with the unforgiving ground.
The players, however, were not caught off guard. Well-placed on top of Camelot's buildings, firearm units stood at the ready to unleash a torrent of bullets. Following Merle's authoritative command, hundreds of rounds pierced the night air. The resulting chaos saw some creatures critically hit, sending them hurtling to the streets below.
In the following moments, the cavalry units and fey warriors, spurred into action by Alan's strategic insights, moved swiftly and engaged the grounded Gargoyles from multiple angles. The challenge posed by the creatures' stone-hard skin required careful coordination, but the defenders, inspired by Alan's well-devised strategy, successfully thwarted the sudden aerial assault.
Alan's strategic brilliance played a pivotal role in the defenders' triumph over the Gargoyles. The initial wave of victory resonated with cheers among the players, yet for the leaders, a palpable sense of vigilance persisted. Neither the necromancer nor Artorius, the Abyss knight, had made an appearance, keeping them on edge.
Amidst the tension, two particular girls were consumed by worry, their thoughts fixated on certain science teacher, who had not yet returned.

At the same time, 40 miles away and deep within a catacombs, a veteran group of players had just triumphed over the third Draugr General. After navigating through the remaining pathways, which were infested with dozens of Draugr, they finally reached the fourth chamber.
"This is the final undead general. Be careful; expect a much harder fight," cautioned Cachelos the mercenary leader as the group of 30 veterans approached the chamber.
However, upon entering, they were taken aback to find familiar figures standing near an altar: two of the NPC, Merlin, Guinevere, and a terrifying but beautiful crimson hair female NPC. Before they could inquire about the situation, their attention was drawn to Alan, lying on the ground and bleeding heavily.
Seeing this, Axel quickly asked, "Is he dead? Did you kill him?"
The sight of the veterans preparing their weapons sent a ripple of tension through the chamber. The metallic clinks of swords being drawn echoed in the space, creating an uneasy atmosphere.
'Wait..." Before the situation could escalate into a full-blown conflict, Alan groaned, signaling his awakening.
Struggling to speak through his injuries, Alan managed to convey a vital message. "...Don't attack her, ...She will help us kill the necromancer."
After hearing Alan's words, all the players received notification on their game link, a notice of completion of the quest. The news spread like wildfire among the veterans, and a collective sigh of relief washed over them.

The completion of the B rank quest brought forth a wave of rewards. With the numerous veterans contributing to the dungeon clearance, each player was fortunate to receive a C rank reward. The atmosphere was filled with elation, with players celebrating the successful end of their quests. However, amidst the jubilation, one figure remained discontent.
Axel, the French noble, had eagerly anticipated the prospect of facing one more undead general for additional points. In his annoyance, Axel directed an intense gaze toward the dark book held by the newly joined legendary NPC, Morgana. His demand, "Let me see the book," echoed with a mix of entitlement and curiosity.
Yet, Morgana, with no apparent relation to Axel, swiftly rebuffed his request, injecting an extra layer of tension into the already charged atmosphere.
