Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 13: Temporary Captivity
Chapter 13: Temporary Captivity
There she is. Rael glanced toward the voice, and as he did, he saw a woman who was beautiful beyond belief.
Her completely white hair flowed down to the back of her knees, and when she walked forward, he could see her breasts swaying ever so slightly.
Despite wearing a fancy golden robe, her hourglass figure couldn't be hidden—nor could her beautiful crimson-red eyes, which overlooked every single person present.
Hot fucking damn. Rael whistled inwardly. She's more gorgeous than I remember...
But there was one thing that worried him, and that was the fact that their appearance was oddly similar.
His hair was silver, but in the right lighting, it could come off as white.
And this was that lighting.
Some people stared at him, but he ignored them—until, eventually, Queen Zafira took a stand, clapping her hands to gather everyone's attention.
"I am very happy all of you managed to make it," she said, her enchanting voice sending shivers down Rael's spine.
"Frankly, the coronation already took place as I had some work to do. But now that I'm free, I'll be holding an informal one to celebrate," she added, earning shocked gasps from the people.
—She's such a hard worker...
—I wish I could be as busy as her...
Rael raised his brows at the comments of these people.
Are they stupid? She clearly overslept. He glanced toward Zafira just as she raised her arm in an attempt to wave.
But instead, her goal was to yawn while no one was looking.
Cheeky tyrant. Rael thought, focusing on the guards who were walking toward her in a curt line.
And in the very middle was a makeshift crown made of silver, which one of the queen's maids picked up and placed right on Queen Zafira's head.
Immediately, loud cheers resounded, all sharing the same excitement.
However, that was not the case for Rael.
In fact, he was left disappointed.
What a shabby performance... They didn't even try making it dramatic. He critiqued inwardly and was prepared to get out.
But before he could, Queen Zafira spoke again—her words making him halt.
"As thanks to everyone who showed up, I would like to personally shake each and everyone's hand."
...I'll just go—
"No exceptions," she finished, and that's when he knew that unless the guard who had taken him over here had some brain damage, Rael was screwed.
Nonetheless, the people formed several lines before heading toward the queen, and right after, they were escorted out by the guards.
Rael would be among those in the middle, and by his estimations, he had timed it so the guard would be escorting someone else.
After a few more minutes of the crowd shaking the queen's hand, it was eventually Rael's turn.
To his relief, the guard was not there, which meant he was in the clear.
Approaching the queen, she stuck out her hand, which was covered in an almost see-through black glove.
Rael reciprocated the handshake and felt the softness of her touch. He was prepared to move away; however, for some reason, the queen was not letting go.
"I watched what happened earlier. It was a sly move," Queen Zafira remarked with a chuckle, narrowing her eyes. "But I'm sorry to disappoint—you will need to be taken in for questioning."
As she finished speaking, the guards stepped forward and locked the heavy cuffs back onto his wrists.
All the while, Rael stood there, stunned.
My luck just can't get any shittier, can it? he exclaimed inwardly as the guards began leading him further and further away from the inner courtyard—until, eventually, he arrived in front of some kind of building that looked like a shed at first glance.

The guards walked forward and pushed open the door.
Immediately, the sight of a long downward staircase entered his vision, causing him to audibly gulp.
"I don't suppose I can wait outside?" he bargained. "Drinks on me?"
They did not even entertain his suggestion before bringing him down the stairs.
Several cold-looking iron prison cells appeared all around, and Rael could even spot a skeleton in one of them.
Before he could protest, they tossed him into a random damp cell, locked the door, and walked away.
"Seriously... You pricks didn't even leave a flashlight." Rael grumbled and opened the premium shop.

Category: Utility/Matchstick

• Pack of matchsticks (Common): 15 Trell
Rael swiftly purchased it and lit one matchstick up, the dust in the air visibly pissing him off.
I knew coming here for the sole purpose of seeing Zafira Sutekh's tits was a bad idea. Rael sighed and lay down against the wall.
Guess I'll have to wait for a few days—
His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of distant footsteps clacking down the stairs.
It was a familiar sound, and once the person responsible finally arrived before Rael's prison cell, he couldn't help but let out a groan.
"Queen Zafira... A pleasure to meet you."
"Are you a spy?" she asked coldly, cutting straight to the chase. "If you are, admit it, and your death will be painless."
"I'm just a normal guy," Rael shrugged. "I'm not a spy, nor do I want to die here, so can you just let me out already?"
Noticing his bluntness, Zafira furrowed her brows. "What's your name?"
"Rael."
"Affiliation?"
Rael tilted his head. "Myself? I'm not exactly affiliated with anyone or anything."
"I see..." Zafira fell into thought. "So you are some vagabond who intruded into my city and even got as far as into my inner court. Concerning..."
"I'd blame the guards for that, Your Highness," Rael remarked and stood up, walking toward the iron bars.
He placed his hand on them and stared straight into Zafira's eyes.
"Now, Your Highness, could you let me go? I haven't even had lunch yet."
She stared back at him for a moment before unlocking the prison cell.
Just as relief washed over him and he prepared to take his first steps as a free man, Zafira suddenly grabbed his wrist with a determined look on her face.
"You're coming with me, Rael."
