Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 307: Reaper Class
Chapter 307: Reaper Class
<Would you like to view your new Main Class: Reaper (???)>
<Yes / No>
Rael pressed "Yes," and in the next moment, he was greeted with the new Class.
Reaper (??? | Combat)
—The most basic Reaper Class for those wishing to walk the path of a Reaper.
—Stat Gains:
None
—Skills:
1. Soulhook (Passive): Attacks automatically execute enemies below 10% HP and harvest their souls. Harvested souls may be used for either Minor Stat Gain or Extra Experience Gain.
2. Fear (Passive): Enemies suffer a 5% reduction in their highest stat and -10% accuracy when targeting you.
3. Lurking Scythe (Active): Summon an ethereal scythe to orbit you for 6 seconds. It automatically slashes at nearby enemies once per second, dealing [Soul-type] damage that ignores shields and armor.
It was pretty straightforward, and the effects were pretty nice too.
He wasn’t sure how this played into the grand scheme of things, but even so, he checked out the evolution requirements.
<Requirements to Evolve the class: Reaper (??? | Combat)>
1. Harvest 50,000 Souls. (Incomplete | 1 / 50,000)
"Uhhh..." Rael paused, tilting his head. "Are you fucking crazy?"
50,000 souls were a lot.
He wasn’t even sure he had killed 50,000 monsters in total, and yet, he now needed to do just that.
Welp... I guess I’ll just have to level up my other class so I don’t die in the second awakening.
But on the topic of the second awakening, he was curious how long he was going to remain in the Memory Record.
He had already gone through so much, and he had even received a few hints as to what this Memory Record could be.
It’s like the Origin of all those I’m connected to, directly and indirectly... or that’s my theory anyway, Rael mused.
Minos resembled The Hollow King, Kareth.
As for Jane, she resembled the aftermath of Zafira’s transformation.
One silver eye, one normal eye...
It might be a coincidence... it really might. I doubt I would’ve just met those people for no reason, and I would’ve definitely not gotten such... obvious clues about them.
It was hard to ignore, so he simply bottled up those thoughts, and now, he planned on getting some answers to his questions.
For starters...
<Hidden Scenario: The Chosen One.>
<Description: You’ve been chosen as the person who eliminates humanity’s chosen heroes.>
<Objective: Kill all the Chosen Ones. Current Progress: 1 / 12>
<Reward: x1 Celestial Ranked Random Skill>
This scenario was back to what it used to be before he nearly died.
And as much as he wanted to complete it, he had a glaring suspicion in the back of his mind that the last person he’d meet would be his sister.
All that talk about a prodigy and a miracle child, especially waking up moments before the world went to shit...
If she wasn’t Chosen, then he’d be convinced the being responsible for this apocalypse was a total idiot.
Still... Rael glanced around.
The people who had been in the survivors’ camp ran around in a panic as they took notice of Peter’s body.
Yet no one noticed Rael, which made him slightly confused.
But that was when he remembered the last effect in his physique.
Reaper’s Cloak (Active): You may enter the Soul Realm at will. While inside the Soul Realm, mortal beings are unable to perceive your existence.
So how do I leave...? Rael thought, and the moment he did, his vision cleared up.
Even the sky, which had been previously green, returned to the blue he was used to seeing, which meant that with a single thought, he left the Soul Realm.
And that was when one of the people bumped into him, then fell down.
"Ugh..." The man groaned, rubbing his forehead as he met Rael’s gaze. "God damn, you’re sturdy."
"...Thanks?"
The man gave Rael a weird glance before running away.
Weirdo, Rael thought and began to make his way out of the survivor’s camp.
It seemed like they were in the middle of the city, so with that in mind, he made his way up the tallest building he could find.
He still wasn’t strong or fast enough to run up buildings, but the stairs were no issue.
After all, these Reaper physique enhancements practically gave him unlimited stamina.
So after just a few minutes, he was at the very top.
He overlooked the city, and one thing was certain.
I’m still in Seoul. Though it doesn’t really look the same as it used to.
The distorted buildings were especially creepy, but it seemed like the closer he was to the center of the city, the less of an effect the world’s expansion had.
He checked his pockets, and thankfully, both his High Grade Weapon Upgrade Material and the parchment he had gotten from Todd earlier were still there.
Therefore, he took out the parchment, and in the next moment, a compass appeared, pointing southeast.
I suppose they’re safe. Good... Rael thought.
He wasn’t planning on heading back just yet.
After all, to them, he left less than 30 minutes ago.
If he came back all fine, then their semi-emotional departure would be a little too anticlimactic.
So for starters, Rael wanted to hunt down at least a single Chosen One.
I really hope those fuckers aren’t scattered throughout the world, since without a car or a plane, it’d take me months to get around.
He held out hope as he made his way down the skyscraper and onto the streets.
Noticing a group of people, Rael walked up to them without a word and simply stood there awkwardly.
"Hmm...?" One of the men tilted their head, holding out a piece of bread. "Want some?"
Yet not even a moment later, the two friends beside the man slipped, falling flat on their asses.
"Huh? What’s up with you two?"
The man stood up, and he too slipped, then glanced up at Rael with a confused look.
But instead of replying, Rael extended his hand and gave all three people a thumbs up before taking his leave.
Rael hummed to himself as he spotted another group in the distance, and with that, he repeated the same process over and over again.

A few days later...
Rael strolled through the streets, then suddenly stopped, dodging a rock that came flying from the side.
"Bastard! Come back here!" a woman yelled, running at him with a sword.
There were a few other people behind her, and they all had one thing in common.
Each one of them had fallen flat on their ass less than 5 minutes ago.
A faint smirk appeared on Rael’s face as he ran into a nearby alleyway, then entered the Soul Realm.
Immediately, the sky above him turned green, and moments later, the woman, along with her goons, ran into the alley, passing him and running out the other end.
This really is a good skill, Rael mused as he leaned against the wall.
With the rock that the woman threw a moment ago, he finally completed all his requirements to evolve his class.
Therefore...
<Requirements to Evolve the class: Mildly Inconvenient (Common | Utility)>
1. Cause 250 people to slip. (Complete | 250 / 250)
2. Evade 100 projectiles without getting hit. (Complete | 100 / 100)
3. Use the Pocket Gremlin skill 5 times. (Complete | 5 / 5)
<Ready to Evolve!>
He pressed the Evolve button, and moments later, he felt a gentle warmth course throughout his body.
<Sub-Class Evolution in progress...>
<ETA: 1 hour.>
