"Hmm..." Rael glanced around the canyon.

Yet aside from a few camp supplies, he wasn’t able to see anyone.

Smoke was still rising, which meant that the people who had been here hadn’t left too long ago.

If anything, with his speed, he could catch up to them.

Rael took a deep breath and crouched down, looking for any traces.

Eventually, he stumbled upon a footprint under a rock as if someone had tried to hide it.

Yet that footprint gave him enough of a hint about which direction to go.

So with that, Rael began sprinting, a frown not leaving his face for even a moment.

And just a few minutes later, he finally arrived at some sort of cave at the far end of the canyon.

He didn’t think much of it at first, but that familiar feeling of something prickling the back of his neck returned, followed by a pop-up appearing.

As for the man, he was carving up Timon’s corpse and throwing blood everywhere.

"Haahaha! Sis, do you think the others will look the same on the inside~?" the man asked as he brought his hands up to his face, smearing blood everywhere.

A look of ecstasy was plastered on his face, and the more he stabbed Timon’s corpse, the more that expression twisted.

That was until the woman he called his sister let out a sigh and tossed aside Timon’s head.

"I’m bored, brother. Can we just get out of here? These people are no fun..." she said, turning to Todd and the others.

"All of you should have just accepted our proposal. We were only going to kill you after we took your Shrine rewards."

With those words, the brother nodded and pulled out a knife, then stabbed it right through his throat.

Blood began spurting out, and for a moment, Rael thought the man would die right then and there.

But what happened instead was a bit odd.

The woman began waving her arms around in the air, chanting unintelligible incantations as she approached Todd.

Suddenly, a cut appeared on Todd’s throat in the exact same spot where the man had cut himself a moment ago.

And when Rael turned back to the man, he realized the wound on his throat had disappeared.

What the fuck... Rael’s eyes narrowed as he took one step forward, arriving in front of Todd and the others.

He didn’t waste even a moment as he left the Soul Realm, startling the woman.

"Huh? Who are yo—"

Before she could finish her words, Rael unsheathed his Reaper Sword and delivered a vertical cut.

It seemed like an innocent cut at first, since not even a drop of blood fell.

Yet not even a few seconds later, the woman’s eyes widened as her body suddenly split in two.

No kill notification... Rael thought with furrowed brows.

"Sis!" the brother yelled as he shot a glare at Rael. "Fucking bastard... what have you done!?"

His thundering voice echoed throughout the cave, causing it to slightly tremble.

But a moment later, silence once again descended. Yet Rael knew that was only the beginning, as the woman’s severed body began to tremble.

The very next instant, her blood seeped into the ground, traveling toward the man.

Rael didn’t hesitate to take a step forward, ready to cleave the man in half.

But before he could, the man extended his hand, causing a blood spear to shoot out from the ground and pierce Rael’s leg.

It didn’t hurt in the slightest, but it did manage to take his attention off the man.

And once he finally turned back to him, Rael’s eyes widened.

One side of the man’s body was normal, and the other resembled his sister’s body.

It was split down the middle, and it seemed like his sister’s half was sentient as she glared his way.

The mouth shifted from the man’s side of the face to the woman’s as she finally spoke.

"You filthy bastard... you snuck up on me and did this? Do you know how long it’ll take me to regenerate!" she yelled.

The mouth moved back toward the man’s side.

"We have no clue who you are, but we take it you came here to rescue these people? Eh?" the man muttered. "Sadly for you, that won’t be possible anymore."

The ground shook as pools of blood spurted out.

And that was when Rael decided to take this seriously.

He extended his hand and activated one of his newest skills...
