Yet not even a second later, Rael heard a pair of footsteps behind him.

"Wrong," the man muttered. "But you’re on the right track."

Rael turned his head, and to his surprise, there was a needle embedded straight into his abdomen, and he just hadn’t noticed.

That was because he didn’t feel any pain, nor was there any pop-up.

But before he could ponder it further, Rael felt his body contract in the area where the needle had struck.

And he soon understood what was happening.

Yet Rael was one step ahead as he appeared behind the man and swung his sword down, cleaving him in two.
