Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 342: Innocent Spar
Chapter 342: Innocent Spar
They exchanged one final glance and, without warning, ran straight for each other.
Because their stats were so high, their speed was nearly impossible to follow.
After all, with Rael’s current speed, he was running about 2,000 times the speed of sound, and from the looks of things, so was Lilith.
They appeared before each other and threw punches. Because their momentum was so high, they caused a giant shockwave to send half of the demons from the stands flying.
At the same time, Rael felt his wrist snap.
[HP -1%! Vitality: Tier 6 [99% / 100% HP]
Lilith wasn’t spared either, since even without weapons, his damage was considerable. Two of her fingers broke, and he even made her wince slightly.
Still...
-1%!
Right... we have similar HP. No wonder that didn’t do anything, Rael thought with a sigh as he snapped his broken wrist back into place.
Her fingers were also restored shortly after, and that was when they dashed at one another again.
He threw a punch, yet she ducked under it and twisted her body at an odd angle.
Her heel rose in the blink of an eye and struck him straight in the jaw, causing it to shatter in an instant.
[HP -3%! Vitality: Tier 6 [96% / 100% HP]
Rael was disoriented for a moment, which gave her enough time to approach and land another kick straight at his balls.
But like a man who had seen the light, Rael swiftly composed himself, grabbed her leg, which was about to strike his no-no square, and brought his elbow down on it, snapping it in two.
-3%!
She winced again and swung her hand in an arc, missing him completely.
Or so he thought, but soon, blood started spurting from his neck.
[HP -8%! Vitality: Tier 6 [88% / 100% HP]
Rael’s eyes widened as he took a few swift steps back and inspected his injuries.
Despite not making direct contact with his neck, she managed to create a strong enough wind gust to slash his neck.
Not bad... Not bad at all, Rael thought, rubbing his neck, which had already healed.
Alas, he didn’t want to use any skills, which was why he had turned off the Foresight option.
But the Supreme Beast’s Bloodline wasn’t considered a skill.
He glanced back at Lilith, whose leg had fully healed, and noticed that she seemed awfully cheerful, a stark contrast to her earlier mood.
She took a deep breath and kicked off the ground, arriving in front of him again.
Unlike the previous times, Rael waited until the very last moment to dodge her attack.
It wasn’t because he was being cocky and trying to show off. Instead, it was because he had understood her attack pattern already.
One of his Supreme Beast passive abilities helped him with that.
He kept evading her hits, and after what felt like a minute of not being hit, she took a few steps back, slightly puzzled.
Yet for the sake of not coming off as salty, she remained quiet, not questioning it.
So with that, a faint smirk appeared on Rael’s face as he approached Lilith and threw a fist.
At first, it headed straight for her face, but as she raised her hand, ready to send a wind burst at him, Rael redirected his attack straight for her right arm, cleaving it off in an instant.
-3%!
Her eyes widened as she took a step back to compose herself, but it was too late.
Rael was already in front of her, and soon, a kick struck her side, causing a loud cracking sound to fill the air as she was sent flying to the other end of the colosseum.
-5%!
Just like that, the previous cheering of the demons subsided, replaced by a deathly silence.
But that silence didn’t last long as Lilith’s coughs sounded.
She was severely injured, and her spine seemed to be broken. However, within a minute, she was back to normal.
Lilith rose from the ground, nearly stumbling as she shot a glance at Rael.
"I concede," Lilith muttered. "Any further than this, and I’m afraid we’re going to do a lot more damage than we already have."
The moment she finished speaking, she pointed to the left side of the colosseum.
Rael tilted his head and turned toward it. Immediately, his eyes widened.
There was a giant hole in the side of the colosseum, and once he thought about it further, he realized that his earlier kick was the reason why that had happened.
Thankfully no one died... that would’ve been a shit way to end a coronation, Rael thought with a faint smile.
"That was a fun fight," he remarked. "Even while holding back, you were pretty strong."
Lilith sighed. "Strong or not, you managed to read me like a book near the end."
Rael stared at her for a moment before shrugging.
Then, he walked up to her and stood on her right side.
He leaned in pretty close to Lilith, and she had done the same.
They weren’t here to kiss. Instead, they touched the tips of their horns.
Lilith’s cheeks flushed red, and in the next moment, cheers erupted.
"YEAAAAH! Our Mistress finally got married!"
"All hail the Darkness Demons!"
The cheers resounded in a similar manner until eventually, someone asked a rather simple but important question.
"What’s the name of the new Demon King?"
Rael exchanged a glance with Lilith before stepping forward.
"My name is Rael, and from this day forward, you may address me as the King of the Darkness Demons," he said in a cold voice, while inwardly dying from embarrassment.
And just like that, cheers erupted once more, chanting his name over and over until eventually, Lilith grabbed him by the sleeve and jumped extremely high into the sky.
They flew above the dark clouds, and just as they began to fall, Lilith summoned a dark platform beneath them, holding them up.
She set him down and skipped a few steps back, a faint smile on her face.
"Well... you’re officially the King of the Darkness Demons now, husband..."
