Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 871: Some Secrets
"I’m not saying anything."
"Alright. Which of your balls would you like to lose first?" Rael asked with the kindest smile he could muster.
The knight’s brows twitched, and right as he was about to say something, Lilith chimed in, stabbing a knife directly into his eye and narrowly missing his brain.
He gasped, pain flooding his mind and all of his senses. For a moment, he believed that none of this was worth it, as in the end, he could just try his best to send out even a little bit of his mana, and that would allow him to come back to the upper floors.
But he didn’t, because he was surrounded by such fearsome people who could wipe out half of his soul before he could even vanish.
So with that in mind, the knight felt like the only choice he had left was to speak.
"Tsk... What do you want to know, exactly?"
"You’re operating from the 500th floor, right?" Rael asked right away.
The knight nodded slowly. "I am... I live on that floor, and since it has so many sections, it can fit millions of people."
Rael raised a brow. "Extra information, huh? Well, I guess that just means you’re that eager to tell me everything. Speaking of, you mentioned it can fit millions of people. Are there millions of people there?"
He shook his head. "Nowhere near. There aren’t even a couple thousand. Only the most powerful of the bunch remained. Some decided to prestige, while others left the tower outright."
Rael nodded in satisfaction. "So that means you are able to leave the tower if you reach the 500th floor, isn’t that right?"
"That’s correct," the knight affirmed.
That was enough for Rael to feel relieved, and honestly... Getting to the 500th floor didn’t seem like such a hard task, especially because he could just speed blitz the rest of the floors. If not, he could always just go ahead and find a skip.
After all, he was 100% sure there was some kind of way to skip these floors.
Still...
"Is Lucien up there?"
"I’m not aware of a Lucien," the knight replied. "However, there haven’t been any new visitors in the last couple of years... So I doubt this Lucien person you’re looking for is actually there."
Hmm...
So Lucien might still be en route to the 500th floor. That, or he was just chilling around the higher floors and trying to recruit all the people he could. Whatever the case may be, the fact that Lucien was a giant problem remained.
Though, like the giant problem that he was, Rael also planned on dealing with him accordingly. For one, Rael wanted to end this fight inside the High Tower, so by the time he leaves it, there would be no Lucien to piss him off and ruin his life.
But he also knew that the odds of that happening were slim to none... Not that he couldn’t hope and wish for it though.
Regardless of what it was, Rael had enough of this guy’s responses.
"What’s your name?" Rael asked with a gentle smile.
"My name?"
"Your name, yes. Your full name, if you could," Rael added.
The knight just stared at him for a brief moment, before saying:
"Lindros Lament. Why?"
"I see. Thanks for the name. Okay, Gaia, Nyx, you can kill him now."
The moment Rael’s words fell, Lindros’s eyes widened. Yet before he could do anything, Gaia and Nyx immediately dashed forward and ripped his body to shreds, effectively killing him.
It all happened so fast, to the point where even Nyx and Gaia were surprised.
However, they also very quickly realized what Rael had done that for.

Dayum.
There wasn’t much about him, and he seemed pretty plain in contrast. However, as someone who had prestiged that many times and had even gone as far as to climb to the 500th floor, he sure as shit was useful, both information-wise and technique-wise.
So with that in mind, Rael went ahead and bought his identity. Although it cost a lot, Rael was just barely able to afford it.
Though when he bought Lindros’s identity, a flood of memories immediately hit him. He had a long life outside of the High Tower, but frankly, Rael chose to skip it for the moment, and instead, Rael went ahead and just focused on the memories Lindros had inside the High Tower.
As expected, his first 50 prestiges all happened within 200 floors, but then, after the 51st, he became a little bit more bold, managing to make it all the way up to the 450th floor, where he then went back and forth, prestiging, clearing a boss floor, and doing so until he reached the 495th floor.
From then on, he did nearly 70 prestiges in a row to max out his Laws, and only then did he feel confident enough to challenge the boss of the 495th floor and enter the 500th floor.
It was just that... There wasn’t really a boss to fight. Instead, it was like a massive staircase leading him from the 495th boss floor all the way to the 500th floor, where he then met the people who had been in there for a very, very long time.
Each of the people was strong enough to bypass the mana restrictions in the safe zones, and not to mention, from what Lindros had overheard, they had prestiged nearly thousands of times in the span of a few eons.
And so when he tried to prestige, those same beings caught him and placed some kind of seal on him that prevented him from ever leaving the tower.
Honestly...
That was kind of fucked up.
But despite all the hardships that this guy had to endure, there was one upside to this.
A secret way to skip many floors, which made it possible for him to go up and down from the 500th floor to the 95th floor’s boss room.
