RE: Perverted Sugar Daddy System-Chapter 257: Saved
Bam… bam. Bam…
Ring… ring… ring… ring…
The sounds came nonstop, and when my eyes snapped open, they carried an unhealthy red tint.
I pushed my upper body up, ready to tell whoever was at the door to scram while also switching off my phone until I saw the caller and a flood of reminders rushed through my head.
"Fuck."
Quickly yanking off my top, I answered the phone and hurried to the door.
"Sade," I said, unlocking the door without even bothering to see who was behind it.
"Marcus, where are you?"
"I'm on my way," I answered, struggling to wiggle out of my pants.
"On your way? You sound groggy. Did you just wake up?"
"Something like that."
"You forgot about your test?" Sade balked.
"Something like that."
"Marcus, are you hungover?"
"Ehh… I'll be there soon. Just wait for me, okay?"
Ending the call, I dropped my phone and immediately turned toward the bathroom.
"Did I even get to sleep at all?" I cried inwardly, registering Martha's presence but saying nothing.
The water helped cool my nerves and clear my eyes, but it couldn't wash away the deep fatigue clinging to them.
"Martha," I called, stepping out of the bathroom.
The woman was dressed in her work uniform and standing there wanting a kiss, but instead, a beautiful-looking sandwich was shoved into my mouth, and I had to clamp down and take a bite.
"Where are the bottles?" the older woman asked, looking around while I scrambled to get dressed.
"What bottles?" I asked after chewing what was in my mouth.
Whatever Martha put in the sandwich made it quite delicious, and I eagerly took another bite when she moved over and brought it back to my face.
"The ones that got you drunk unless you went out after I left yesterday."
"I didn't drink. I've just been awake studying."
"I see," Martha said, feeding me another bite.
"Wanna fuck?" the woman asked out of the blue, and glancing at her, I saw that she had on a grin and was massaging her melons.
"Nope."
"Oh my, the great and mighty Marcus refusing sex. What is the world turning into?"
I didn't reply.
After a few more bites, I was set and ready to go.
"Shouldn't you be at work by now?"
"I should, but there's this kid I had to take care of this morning," Martha complained, and I simply nodded.
When I get back this evening, I'm punishing you. Prepare yourself.
"Can you drive?" I asked before Martha could say a word.
"Yes."
Without delay, I tossed her a key, which she caught.
"I can't drive. I don't have a license…" Martha began, but I took out a card and slipped it between her cleavage.
"Use the car. If anyone bothers you, call this number. Now I'm leaving."
Giving her a kiss at the front of my apartment, I nearly jumped from my floor to the ground but caught myself and painfully used the stairs instead.
Taking the Camaro—leaving the Mercedes for Martha—I made a beeline for school. But as I drove, I couldn't help feeling like something was missing.
"I killed all three of them," I reminded myself, nodding as I reviewed everything in my head.
"Did Kyle somehow figure out my identity?" I wondered.
My thoughts fluctuated between the strange itch in my mind and the test I was about to write. And then.....
Bashhhhhh!!
Stepping out of my vehicle amid several stares, I came to the front and looked at the damage I had caused to the bumper of a BMW.
I wanted to sigh but didn't have the will. I couldn't even say I was having a bad morning because I had literally spent the early hours of it killing people and surviving missile strikes.
"Oh… that's what I've been missing."
My last train of thought jogged my memory. Something had felt off, and I turned around, observing the world around me.
A fighter jet had literally just appeared in the city and dropped two missiles, this was followed by a proper army marching in yet nobody seemed aware of it.
I mean, it was daytime. What about those few people who lived within the dome's range?
I understood that what happened within the dome could've been concealed, but was the city not aware of the army inside it?
"Hey, mister! Look what you did to my car. It was a red light!"
"Sorry," I turned to the very unhappy man.
I spent a few minutes placating and compensating the aggrieved driver before finally taking my damaged car to school.
A test by 8:00 a.m., and I was arriving at 9:12. I wept internally as I hurried to class.
Pushing the door of the classroom open, I stepped inside and of course, no lecturer would just let a student stroll in this late.
"Mr. Lawson," Dr. Richards called, halting my steps.
"Are you aware of the time?"
With an apologetic expression clouding my face, I was just about to give my excuse and apologize, but then Sade stood up.
"Sir, he's the student I was trying to tell you about."
"Really?" Richards turned to Sade with a narrowed gaze.
"Yes, sir."
"You're not covering for each other?"
"Absolutely not, sir," Sade said determinedly and inside, I was shocked.
The Sade I knew didn't lie. Even getting her to slightly bend the truth was a hassle.
I don't know what she told the doctor, but with her intervention, he let me pass and at the end of the test, he even gave me some extra minutes.
When I was finally done with the test, I retired to the library, Sade joining me soon after.
"Why aren't you reading?"
"I already did so throughout last night. I don't feel like doing it anymore."
"Hmm."
Slamming three stacked books on the table, Sade fixed me with a stare.
"Why were you so late?"
"Well, other than sleeping in, I got into a minor accident."
Bending to the side and giving me a look from head to toe, Sade asked,
"Is the car okay?" ƒгeewebnovёl.com
"Yeah."
She nodded and looked down at her book, but I was also curious about her side of the story.
"What did you tell Dr. Richards?"
"I told him your neighbour got into a fire accident and you had to rush her to the hospital."
"Oh."
"Stop daydreaming and read. Even if you feel you're ready, there's more that you don't know. You need to keep up your grades."
