Re: Timeless Apocalypse-Chapter 115: Origin God Tools
An hour passed, and the cave was now filled with a rich, savoury aroma that lingered thickly in the air.
In his own little corner, Uriel sat in front of a large fire where a pot hung over the flames, filled with a stew that blended everything he had, what warriors called a Mulligan Stew.
The stew bubbled and simmered steadily, its hue a rich and dark sunset orange, the meat tender beyond words and nearly falling apart, the vegetables soaked with every bit of flavour possible until they were soft and saturated.
Uriel sat on a stool, bowl in hand, quietly devouring the meal he’d made for himself.
He was already on his third pot he’d completely emptied, and yet his hunger seemed endless, as if he were now a beast wearing human flesh.
And that, perhaps, he was.
As he ate, though, Uriel checked all he’d missed and assessed himself.
’Status.’
A row of screens flashed in front of him.

Uriel set his bowl down and stared at the results of his minor evolutions.
He wasn’t as surprised as most would expect. After all, he’d personally created them and knew exactly what effects they’d have on him.
Though that was the case, as he stared at the screens, he still couldn’t help but raise a brow slightly.
’Pioneer-Boon...’ he hummed in thought. ’So instead of getting Traits, my Characteristics gain additional layers? Or maybe they evolve?’
’If that’s the case, then maybe the boon is that through this, my talent can be used in even more complex manners, I guess.’
’Or maybe it makes the use of the talent itself much more natural and fluid. Or maybe both.’
Uriel looked at his hand, jade white and almost as reflective as marble.
He could feel the strength pouring through his veins, the additional weight his body had gained, and the renewed sharpness drowning every part of him with clarity.
But it was strange.
He almost felt... too strong, but at the same time not any different.
It was strange, truly.
Before he continued assessing his body, Uriel decided to check his full status, something he hadn’t done in what felt like years.
’Weave Status.’

Uriel paused.
Looking at his status seemed to remind him of the amount of progress he’d made in the month since the apocalypse had begun.
He’d learned to control aether, learned magic, evolved to the peak of the G-Rank, formed a path, formed classes and frames, become a Pioneer, and so much more.
But it also seemed to remind him of just how much more he could’ve done.
The thought made his mind veer toward Thoryl, rage threatening to overwhelm him, but with a disconcerting amount of control, he calmed himself down.
He exhaled slowly.
’God Tools... hm...’
He could easily assume these were the equivalent of class and frame tools, but for God Path wielders, yet for some reason he hadn’t gotten his own.
Without them, how was he supposed to unveil the secrets of his Path abilities, Class Talents and Frame Gifts?
His brows furrowed for a moment, but then a voice echoed in his mind.
"Your Tools are deep in your Mind Palace," Ophanis’ voice reached him and the tattoo on his back stirred slightly. "But they are rather special, and seem to have been affected by your sin."
Just as he was about to sigh in exasperation, she continued.
"But in a good way. They’re much stronger than normal. But to unveil them, you’ll have to gain their approval."
"And how do I do that?" Uriel asked, the annoyance in his voice clear as he massaged his temples.
At this point, complaining about his luck seemed pointless. For now, being alive would have to be good enough.
"By understanding the glaive, the mage arts and your elements." She paused briefly. "By doing so, you will gain their approval and power."
"And thus, the gates of your Path will be opened."
Sighing in relief, Uriel nodded to himself.
"Ah, that doesn’t sound too hard."
