Chapter 1206: Chapter 1186: Bloodthirsty Swamp

After seeing the consequences of a single misstep, the five people obediently handed over their Wooden Tokens and supported each other as they left.

They didn’t even have any intention of taking away the two bodies.

"Xiao Yunzi, clean up the battlefield." Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes and waved to the person who was also in the tree: "The reward is that you don’t have to dig a pit."

Is not having to dig a pit considered a reward? But Haan Yun didn’t refuse, gloomily climbed down the tree, and headed toward the direction of the two bodies.

The two bodies were located on either side of the path they needed to take, clearly intending to launch separate sneak attacks.

Haan Yun, who had done the job of digging pits to destroy evidence quite often, had cultivated some courage and felt no discomfort about rifling through the belongings of the dead.

But as Haan Yun brought back seven Wooden Tokens, and Luo Qianqian looked at the five Wooden Tokens in Tang Tianyi’s hand, she tightly clenched her fist: "These five people were simply not honest at all! Next time we see them, we’ll give them a good beating!"

And that wish was fulfilled not long after...

Tang Tianyi had a lot of faith in Luo Qianqian’s archery skills; after all, she had specifically gone to practice before, and had made some achievements.

But the others looked at her with amazed expressions. So capable at such a young age? Surely she wouldn’t be an ordinary person in the future. However, Huangfu Yihui showed no signs of surprise on his face.

The group hadn’t walked far before they saw three familiar figures sitting slumpfully on the ground, radiating fear.

"Hey, hand over your Wooden Tokens!" Luo Qianqian’s eyes lit up, and she quickly walked forward with no hesitation, kicking one of them.

"Ahhhhh!!!"

He seemed unprepared and lurched forward a little, but his reaction seemed a bit much?

Luo Qianqian thought there might be something wrong ahead, so she glanced forward but didn’t see anything amiss.

"Hand over the Wooden Tokens!" she said, raising the stick in her hand, which she had picked up by the roadside earlier, intending to tie these people to a tree for a severe beating.

The next moment, however, a man suddenly sprang up, pushing Luo Qianqian forward: "Go to hell!"

Tang Tianyi, behind him, was caught off guard. If they couldn’t see the problem with the road ahead now, they’d be foolish!

He leaped forward, trying to grab Luo Qianqian’s hand, but didn’t catch it.

Luo Qianqian blinked in mid-air with some confusion.

The next second, a long whip wrapped around her waist, sending her flying through the air before she was pulled down, eventually landing safely in Huangfu Yihui’s arms.

"Are you okay?" Huangfu Yihui looked at Luo Qianqian, sweat forming lightly on his forehead.

Luo Qianqian shook her head lightly, still looking confused about the situation. She glanced at the man and the seemingly normal road ahead with a puzzled expression.

Huangfu Yihui set her down and put away the long whip, a maneuver that evidently took a lot of energy.

Tang Tianyi had already flown forward with a kick. Whatever the situation was ahead, why not test it?

The man’s body was distorted from the kick and landed a short distance ahead, swallowed by the road, with no trace left. The road, in the blink of an eye, returned to its peaceful state.

"Swamp?" Three voices spoke simultaneously.

Tang Tianyi looked at Yan and Huangfu Yihui in confusion. Why did their voices carry sounds of fear?

"What’s a swamp?" Luo Qianqian, after a moment’s silence, understood the confusion on Tang Tianyi’s face and asked.

"A swamp can swallow a person instantly with no chance of survival. Even if rescued, they’d die from poison." Huangfu Yihui, looking at Luo Qianqian, felt a lingering fear, grateful for his timely intervention!

Tang Tianyi and Luo Qianqian remained bewildered; wasn’t a swamp supposed to be a muddy pit with plants growing?

A complete ecosystem with a full cycle.

Though they hadn’t seen a swamp, they’d seen wetlands... Why poison? It didn’t make sense. Plants would die from poison, right?

Yan quickly added, "Flesh disappears instantly; it’s just a matter of time before there’s nothing left." No one would challenge such a terrifying place over a corpse.

The two exchanged glances; this swamp seems too different from what they know?

Luckily, they didn’t fall in!

"Thank you." Luo Qianqian looked at Huangfu Yihui with gratitude: "If it weren’t for you, I’d probably be..."

"No problem." Huangfu Yihui’s face showed a hint of desire: "If you truly want to thank me, give me two more of those."

Those?

Luo Qianqian paused for a moment and then realized: "You mean chocolate?" She handed him a few pieces: "Eat these as much as you like. If you need more, come to me. My life is worth more than this stuff."

"Is this called chocolate?" Huangfu Yihui took the items with a smile: "I really like it."

"Glad you like it." Luo Qianqian responded with a big smile.

Yan casually kicked the remaining two people into the swamp, then walked over to Luo Qianqian and extended his hand.

Luo Qianqian looked puzzled: "What do you want?"

"My reward, I helped you too." Yan said matter-of-factly.

"Chocolate?" Luo Qianqian hesitated before handing two liquor-filled chocolates to Yan and Huangfu Yihui: "These are rare, just these two."

"I want liquor." Yan took them unceremoniously, mouthing words to Luo Qianqian.

Though indifferent toward others, he maintained vigilance against the mysterious Huangfu Yihui.

"That’s it." Luo Qianqian smiled lightly at him, then turned to Tang Tianyi with a pout: "What do we do next?"

If it were an ordinary swamp, they might have a way; this one looks like a deadly Bloodthirsty Swamp, so what can they do?

Tang Tianyi furrowed his brows, and Luo Qianqian walked over, tugging at his sleeve pitifully: "Quick, comfort me, I’m scared."

Facing the starry-eyed girl, Tang Tianyi couldn’t bring himself to blame her, gently patting her head: "There, there, no need to fear, want some candy?"

Luo Qianqian giggled: "Are you coaxing me like An Hao?" Or treating her like those who haven’t had chocolate?

Haan Yun stood beside the pair, visibly upset by their display of affection: "I got nothing while everyone else did, you’re so biased."

Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes, tossing over a candy: "Eat over there, don’t sulk like a child." An exaggerated eye roll showed her helplessness with the Seventh Prince’s behavior.
