Rebirth before Apocalypse: My Whole Family are Bigshots!-Chapter 248: Born Emperor
The zombie in the suit pulled out the last bullet from his heart, and after watching Captain Zhu leave, he led the horde back into the houses on either side.
The village returned to its quiet state.
Apart from the black and red blood added at the village entrance, no one knew what had happened here.
Zhang Yiming lay lazily on the deck chair throughout, yet clearly saw what happened at the village entrance in his mind.
He could directly probe the scenes seen in the minds of the Low Level Zombies through brainwaves.
As for the range of the Low Level Zombies, so far, Zhang Yiming hadn’t encountered any whose brainwaves he couldn’t probe.
Through the eyes of the Low Level Zombies, Zhang Yiming saw the lonely figure of Captain Zhu.
He curled his lips dangerously.
How does failure taste?
To someone like Captain Zhu, a ’child of destiny’, everything in a civilized society was the best.
Whether it was school or later work, he had never encountered a series of failures.
The Xiao Song Zombie was very important to him; he wanted to take it back, but had no ability to do so.
The higher-ups at the Fire Phoenix Safety Base also wanted to capture the Zombie King for research.
Unfortunately, they lacked the strength.
Every person sent was turned into a zombie, with only Captain Zhu surviving to return.
Now, how many people at the safety base still believed in Captain Zhu?
When Captain Zhu has no helpers, where can he seek external assistance?
Zhang Yiming’s fingers moved slightly.
Let’s hope Captain Zhu doesn’t disappoint him...
Meanwhile, in S City.
S City had utterly become a city of only zombies; living animals were barely visible.
The streets were covered with black blood, the dried blood coagulated on the ground, impervious to rain.
The empty streets were eerily quiet.
Let alone humans, even zombies weren’t wandering the streets.
The sun grew more intense in the sky, its rays more dazzling.
It seemed as though summer had descended overnight.
The zombies in S City appeared somewhat smarter than those elsewhere.
Even the most ordinary of them didn’t wander aimlessly in the streets.
They stood dazed in shadowed areas.
As the sun moved, some zombies were exposed to its light.
Faintly, they moved their decaying bodies, disappearing into the scorching sunlight, hiding in shaded spots.
Suddenly, a figure appeared on the empty street.
A tall young man walked alone down the street, exuding waves of chill.
Standing there, an invisible pressure emanated from him.
Even in the scorching sun, the temperature around him dropped noticeably.
At first glance, the street looked deserted.
Upon a closer look, faint shadows were visible on either side of the street.
Those were zombies hiding from the sun.
The coldly aloof young man paid no heed to either side, walking down the road by himself.
The young man’s presence caused the zombies to shrink back in fear, trembling as they stood rooted to the spot.
The zombies nearest to him bent their stiff legs slightly, kneeling directly on the ground.
With each step the young man took, the zombies shivered slightly.
His presence made zombies across the city stand trembling, frozen in fear.
They could sense a mighty and violent aura moving through a street.
This aura filled them with such trepidation that they couldn’t muster any resistance.
The young man’s face remained indifferent as he casually glanced at the street, then continued his path.
His long fingers slowly rose, revealing a strand of soft white fur in the harsh sunlight.
It resembled the fur of a white fox.
At the end of the fur, a hint of red blood was faintly visible.
The young man curled his lips wickedly, casually tossing the blood-stained white fur to the ground.
Once on the ground, the white fur scattered into starry fragments, disappearing without a trace.
The young man halted in front of a school, his gloomy eyes staring at the school’s plaque.
City No.1 Middle School.
Suddenly, a terrifying and violent aura exploded from the young man, radiating outward from his center, enveloping the entire city with a powerful brainwave.
"Roar―"
Within City No.1 Middle School, the howls of zombies echoed endlessly.
It seemed as if they were responding to the young man, responding to their Emperor.
The young man exuded a fierce and violent aura, as if he could obliterate the world with a mere flick of his finger.
He slowly closed his eyes, freely probing the zombies’ minds throughout the city with invisible brainwaves for the information he sought.
Five minutes later, the young man started trembling slightly.
As if he had discovered something unbelievable. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
The young man’s long eyelashes were like feathers, long and dense.
In the sunlight, his face appeared warm and sunny.
But the aura emanating from him was terrifyingly brutal.
An aura a hundred times more violent than any High Rank Zombie.
He was born an Emperor.
After a long time, the young man slowly opened his eyes.
The chilling and brutal aura around him seemed to recede slightly, and a hint of regained joy appeared on his cold and stern face.
So this time, he came to a place with her past.
The young man strode purposefully toward a direction, his aura lightened considerably.
Even as a faint smile crept onto his face, the violent aura still lingered around him.
This aura seemed inherent to his being, inescapable.
The zombies in the entire city continued trembling; they could sense the immense pressure emanating from the young man.
In front of a certain community near City No.1 Middle School.
The young man hesitated slightly at the community’s entrance.
For a long while, his gloomy eyes fell on his hands.
His long fingers were very pale, with a barely perceptible hint of red beneath the whiteness.
These hands had recently strangled many survivors to death.
His long fingers cruelly sliced open survivors’ throats, leaving his hands stained red with fresh blood.
Even after washing, one could still see a trace of red on his pale fingers.
The young man with a violent aura suddenly rubbed his fingers nervously, trying to scrub the red off.
But no matter how hard he scrubbed, it wouldn’t come off.
A surge of irritability flooded the young man’s mind; an urge to destroy everything around him swelled up.
His fingers tightened slightly, his nails gouging into his flesh, spraying black blood, with a couple of drops landing on his face.
The young man slowly raised his head, looking toward the community.
He forcibly suppressed the agitated and violent aura in his mind.
After giving a long, deep look in the community’s direction, he abruptly turned away, striding in another direction.
His steps quickened, the violent aura entwining him.
The surrounding zombies retreated a step in fear, trembling as they stared at the ground, not daring to lift their heads.
