Chapter 47: Chapter 047 Insufficient Skills

Charles Seymour pushed the shopping cart, walking beside Sophie Wilson, watching her pick up items from the shelf and examine them closely, murmuring, "This one has the latest production date, let’s go with this... the bagged one is more suitable than canned..."

Watching one item after another being placed into the shopping cart, Charles Seymour found it amusing.

Not to mention his own wealth, even her income doesn’t require being so meticulous.

Yet, looking at her, she seems to really enjoy shopping this way.

"I always felt that shopping at the supermarket gives a homely feeling," Sophie Wilson placed her selected items into the cart, smiling brightly at Charles Seymour, saying, "It’s a pity I never had the chance to go with my family before."

When she was young, supermarkets had just started appearing, and going to the supermarket was quite fashionable, but her mom always took her sister, and she never had a part.

Now... she doesn’t have any thoughts of going with them.

Charles Seymour felt his heart skip a beat, gripping the cart with both hands, he said calmly, "I’ll go with you from now on."

"Okay." Sophie Wilson nodded with a smile, asking, "What do you like to eat?"

Actually, there’s no need to buy much at the supermarket; everything at Charles Seymour’s home is already purchased. She just wanted to buy some snacks or something.

Charles Seymour glanced at the items on the shelf, and as a seasoned foodie, Sophie Wilson introduced the flavors and textures of the snacks for him to choose.

As Sophie Wilson introduced each item, Charles Seymour tossed them into the shopping cart, and soon it was almost full.

"Planning to bring the whole supermarket home?" Sophie Wilson looked at Charles Seymour speechless, without any selection, just putting everything inside.

"You’ve tasted them all." Charles Seymour’s straightforward words hit something in Sophie Wilson’s heart like a heavy blow, shaking her soul, all stirred up into a thick, sticky sweetness.

"These should be enough; don’t eat too many snacks." Sophie Wilson tugged at her burning earlobe, feeling a bit flustered.

This guy, how is he so good at flirting?

She meant to flirt with him, but it seems she’s always being flirted back...

"Alright, let’s go check over there." Sophie Wilson randomly pointed in a direction, making a hasty retreat.

This guy comes on strong; she finds her skills seem to be somewhat lacking.

Charles Seymour faintly noticed Sophie Wilson’s earlobe turn red, and an amused smile quickly flashed across his typically cold dark eyes as he followed her cheerfully with the shopping cart.

Just then, they reached the toiletries section, and saw a crowd gathered over there.

Is there some kind of promotion?

Sophie Wilson was never keen on squeezing through crowds to grab things; she couldn’t manage that.

Just when Sophie Wilson was about to take a detour, she heard shouting mixed with a familiar name: "...Lucy Wells, what exactly do you want?"

Lucy?

Sophie Wilson was about to squeeze through, but her wrist was grabbed; she turned to see Charles Seymour frowning disapprovingly: "What do you plan to do?"

"My good friend is in there, might be having some trouble." Sophie Wilson explained.

Charles Seymour looked at the crowded people ahead, his brow tightening with disdain.

Sophie Wilson was just about to ask him to wait outside when suddenly, a strong arm wrapped around her shoulder, separating them from the surrounding crowd—his face cold, pushing through and bringing her inside.

Throughout the process, he made sure she didn’t bump into a single person.
