Rebirth in the 80's: The Daily Life of the Villain's Mom-Chapter 157 - 158: Did You Put Two Lightbulbs in Your Eyes?
Fortunately, when preparing to open the clothing store, Jiang Ran had already started hoarding fabric.
Not only did she buy from the department store here, but she also had Chen Bing help bring back many materials not available locally from other places.
Although the price was slightly higher, the clothes made were indeed beautiful.
Jiang Ran had also drawn up the design sketches. She and Xia Qiufang worked day and night, and after two or three days, they finally made a batch of clothes to give the store some façade for the opening day.
Even though everything was ready and they were opening early the next morning, Jiang Ran still didn’t want to leave and just wanted to circle around the store a few more times to see if there was anything else that hadn’t been prepared.
Even though this wasn’t her first time opening a store, Jiang Ran still felt extremely nervous. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Probably because it was her first venture into clothing.
Because she had no prior experience, she was naturally worried and afraid.
Xia Qiufang didn’t live in the county, so Jiang Ran let her go back to the village with Wang Cuilan.
Now, in the store, it was only Jiang Ran, Pei Shanshan, and Pei Yang.
Pei Yang was fine—young men like him didn’t really have high demands when it came to clothes.
Although he had a new interest in some of the clothes in the store, it was far less than Pei Shanshan.
Pei Shanshan was staring at the women’s clothes in the store, her eyes shining.
Pei Yang, startled by the look in Shanshan’s eyes, instinctively stepped back. "Shanshan, are you putting light bulbs in your eyes?"
Hearing Pei Yang’s words, Pei Shanshan directly glared at him.
Watching the two of them stare at each other, Jiang Ran originally intended to suppress her laughter.
But sometimes, the more you want to hold back laughter, the harder it becomes.
After a while, Jiang Ran could no longer hold it in and burst into laughter.
Hearing Jiang Ran’s laughter, Pei Yang, as if he had been granted amnesty, quickly ran behind Jiang Ran, trying to hide himself from Shanshan.
Even after doing so, he still peeked out at Pei Shanshan. "Shanshan, look, even Sister-In-Law laughed. Obviously, she thinks the same as me."
Pei Shanshan glared at Pei Yang angrily. "You’re talking nonsense. Sister-In-Law wouldn’t think that way, right Sister-In-Law?"
With both of them eagerly watching her, Jiang Ran cleared her throat and simply changed the subject.
"The store opens tomorrow at 8 AM. I’ll be here busy, so the snack shop is now up to you two."
Hearing this from Jiang Ran, Pei Yang and Pei Shanshan stopped their banter and their expressions turned serious.
"Sister-In-Law, don’t worry!"
"Sister-In-Law, you can definitely count on us; we got it covered over there."
Hearing their assurances one after another, Jiang Ran smiled and nodded.
In fact, Jiang Ran wasn’t worried at all.
Ever since they bought that house and started collaborating on snacks with Chen Bing, the matters within the snack shop were mostly handled by Pei Yang and Pei Shanshan.
The only reason Jiang Ran brought it up was entirely to stop the two of them from dwelling on the previous matter.
Now that the conversation had shifted, Jiang Ran felt a sense of relief.
After checking everything in the store one last time and ensuring there were no issues, Jiang Ran finally took the two of them out, locked the door, and left.
Jiang Ran had always slept well, and despite thinking about the opening the next day, she still slept soundly through the night.
