Rebirth in the 80's: The Daily Life of the Villain's Mom-Chapter 200: The Benefits of Taking a Ride
Jiang Ran quickly packed up and walked out of the room.
"Let’s go to the county town. I want to check on Qiu Fang," Jiang Ran said to Pei Huai.
After speaking, Jiang Ran felt something was amiss and added, "Are you going to the county town too? If not, I—"
can go by myself.
However, before Jiang Ran could finish her sentence, Pei Huai nodded, "I’m going, let’s go!"
Pei Huai was riding a bicycle, leaving a rear seat for Jiang Ran.
Jiang Ran hesitated for just a moment before getting on the bike.
In this hot weather, under the sun, it was better not having to pedal herself and sweating less; why not!
Jiang Ran wore a straw hat, made by Pei Baoshan.
The design was simple but very practical.
The hat was lightweight, with a large brim around it.
It not only covered her face but also cast a shadow that covered her neck.
Seeing that Pei Huai wasn’t wearing a hat, Jiang Ran tilted her head in confusion, "Aren’t you wearing a hat?"
The house wasn’t short of much, but there were indeed plenty of woven items. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Pei Baoshan and Wang Cuilan were both the kinds of people who couldn’t sit still; they liked to weave things when they had free time.
These items could be sold for money.
However, the price wasn’t high.
Pei Huai didn’t move, looking at Jiang Ran, "Can you get one for me?"
Fetching a hat wasn’t a big deal, so Jiang Ran had no objection. She turned and went into the house, and shortly returned with a straw hat, handing it to Pei Huai.
Pei Huai stared at the straw hat for a while before reaching out to take it.
But before putting it on, Pei Huai gave Jiang Ran a meaningful glance.
Jiang Ran was bewildered by Pei Huai’s look. Just as she was about to ask what it meant, Pei Huai had already put on the hat, "Let’s go!"
Going to the county town was more important, so Jiang Ran didn’t ask any further, and just hopped onto the rear seat, waving to Wang Cuilan, "Mom, I’m off!"
Wang Cuilan smiled at Jiang Ran, "Go on, go on, be careful on the road, and eat lunch on time."
Riding the bike, listening to Wang Cuilan’s string of instructions, Pei Huai’s eyes showed a hint of helplessness.
However, he had grown accustomed to it, so it didn’t bother him much anymore.
On the road, Jiang Ran finally felt the perks of being a passenger.
Even sitting on the back seat of a bicycle was more comfortable than pedaling.
With a straw hat on, the scorching sun didn’t beat down on her face.
The breeze blew gently ahead, making it not hot, but rather pleasant.
Jiang Ran thought that if she were wearing a skirt now, she might have seen its hem fluttering.
Unfortunately, she wasn’t wearing a skirt.
Along the way, neither of them spoke as Pei Huai rode directly to the small clothes store.
The bicycle stopped at the door, and Jiang Ran got off from the rear seat, "Go do your thing. You can take the bike too. I suspect I’ll be here all day."
Pei Huai was used to Jiang Ran’s way of doing things, so he didn’t say much, nodded, and rode away.
Jiang Ran didn’t watch where Pei Huai went, nor did she ask what he was going to do; she turned around and entered the store.
There were customers in the store picking out clothes. When they saw Jiang Ran coming in, they all greeted her and asked when the new styles would be available.
Jiang Ran exchanged a few pleasantries with them and just said there would be new arrivals soon, then went to the backyard.
In the back workshop, Jiang Ran didn’t mention she was leaving and just began to busy herself directly.
