Rebirth in the 80's: The Daily Life of the Villain's Mom-Chapter 21: You Think I Can’t?
"Hurry up and eat!"
Jiang Ran said, looking at the others, "Everyone, eat quickly too. It won’t taste as good once it gets cold."
Having said that, she didn’t bother with the others and picked up another piece for herself.
As Pei Yang picked up his chopsticks, he mumbled, "This is braised pork; how could it not be delicious!"
Pei Yang had just finished speaking when Pei Shanshan lightly nudged his arm and shot him a glance.
Jiang Ran saw Pei Shanshan’s actions clearly and understood what that glance meant: even eating can’t stop your mouth!
Although she saw it, Jiang Ran pretended not to and continued eating her meal.
However, in her heart, Jiang Ran agreed with how accurately Pei Shanshan expressed herself.
The braised pork was so tender that you had to be careful with the chopsticks, or else it might break apart.
Once in the mouth, the fatty meat melted instantly, not greasy at all, instead, it was fragrant and sweet.
The lean meat wasn’t tough either, very flavorful, and required no forceful chewing as it melted in the mouth too.
After tasting a piece, Jiang Ran nodded in satisfaction, then picked up a scallion pancake, tore off a third, and gave it to Pei Jing.
"Is this enough for you?"
Pei Jing reached out his little hand to take the pancake, nodding his little head repeatedly, "It’s enough!"
As long as it’s enough!
Jiang Ran held the remaining pancake in her left hand, grabbed two pieces of braised pork, then some radish shreds, wrapped them in the pancake, and took a big bite.
Eating like this may look a bit rough, but only the one eating would know how truly delicious it is!
If only there were some lettuce or a clove of garlic, it would probably taste even better.
When Pei Yang saw Jiang Ran eating this way, his eyes widened slightly, and he also picked up a scallion pancake, imitating Jiang Ran’s method of wrapping.
After taking a big bite, Pei Yang’s eyes lit up, and he chewed more vigorously, with his cheeks puffed out.
Just by watching him eat, you could tell how much he liked it.
Not only was the braised pork delicious, but the potatoes in it were equally tasty.
The potatoes were stewed to a soft tenderness, soaked up the broth, and with a gentle press of the tongue, they melted in the mouth, smooth and sandy, incredibly fragrant and sweet.
Nobody spoke during the meal, as everyone was busy with their heads down eating.
It wasn’t until everyone had finished their bowls of rice porridge that they finally let out a satisfied sigh.
Looking at the empty bowls in front of everyone and the serving dish that had even the sauce mopped clean, Jiang Ran felt immensely satisfied and couldn’t help but smile.
"Did you enjoy the food I made?"
Everyone was still savoring the deliciousness of the meal when they suddenly heard Jiang Ran’s question and froze for a moment.
Only Pei Jing answered in his childish voice, "It’s delicious! Very delicious!"
Hearing Pei Jing’s words, the others, too, snapped back to reality.
Though unsure why Jiang Ran asked, or what she was planning, there was no doubt that the meal was delicious.
With all the food eaten clean, there was no way they could dishonestly say it wasn’t good, so they all nodded and said it was delicious.
Jiang Ran’s eyes curved with joy, "How about I sell food in the county town?"
Upon hearing this, everyone froze once more.
So Jiang Ran’s reason for cooking today was this plan?
Jiang Ran was waiting for them to speak, but after a while, seeing that they still hadn’t, her smile gradually faded, "What’s wrong? Do you think it’s not feasible?"
