Rebirth: The Heiress Plans Her Revenge-Chapter 192: Truth Told
Chapter 192: Chapter 192: Truth Told
Song Recommendation: Untouchable By Itzy!
"Yes, I want you to kiss my hands, since you cannot kiss me due to your shyness, this is the next possible best," Li Qiang did not care whether his request was shameless or not. He only knew he was going to get his way, regardless of what steps he was to take.
Xin Yan looked at the man who was adamant on having his way, and she breathed out.
She looked around, on the lookout. She did not want anyone finding her engaged in such a 𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑓𝑢𝑙 act.
"Be quick, or you will be late," Li Qiang urged her.
She glared at him, before pulling his hand, and placing a kiss on it.
Li Qiang smiled, while she had an annoyed look on her face.
"Are you happy now?" She asked as she stood upright with her hands folded.
"Of course, this is one of the best, but, don’t worry, I will not forget to ask you to give me a kiss before you leave the car again," Li Qiang had a triumphant look on his face.
"Alright, I am off," she shook her head at his childish attitude, before walking off.
Li Qiang had a smile on his face as he watched her walk into the company. As soon as she disappeared from his sight, a sharp light flashed through his eyes as he stared at a particular spot with a smirk on his face.
He raised his brows on seeing the car, before driving off. It signified that his work there was done.
Why was Li Qiang acting that way? It was simple, he had noticed a car, and he recognized the car immediately. The car belonged to Wu Tang, and it seemed he was paying attention to both he and Xin Yan.
Li Qiang was right. It was Wu Tang, and he had been following the couple since they left home. He was stalking them, in particular, Xin Yan.
"Boss, are we driving off?" His driver asked Wu Tang who had an increasingly dark look on his face.
Wu Tang was silent for a while, glaring in the direction in which Li Qiang had driven to.
He took deep breaths, figuring out that Li Qiang had already noticed him, which was the reason for his shameless action earlier on.
"Drive," Wu Tang instructed, his voice devoid of any form of emotion.
His driver swallowed, before driving away. He could sense that his boss was in a very foul mood, and he was not ready to be at the receiving end of his anger.
"Alright boss," he answered, driving away immediately. He needed to tread carefully while he dealt with Wu Tang. He was like a ticking time bomb.
While all these were going on, Xin Yi and Zhang Luiying were also not having it easy. Zhang Luiying had been receiving death threats causing her to feel traumatized.
The saddening part of it was that she never informed Xin Yi about it.
Currently, Zhang Luiying was seated on the bed. She had fallen ill due to the threats. Since Xin Yi was not aware of the threats, he had attributed it to her being stressed.
He had also taken a day off to accompany her.
"Yingying, you have been listless for the past few weeks, and you are always staring at your phone with a dreadful look in them, is there anything wrong, you know you can talk to me," Xin Yi had enough with her increasingly disturbing attitude.
Zhang Luiying stared at Xin Yi who could not be bothered to hide the worry in his eyes. She breathed out knowing she had made a big mistake by not informing him of the threats she had been receiving.
"Yi, I have been lying to you," Zhang Luiying’s voice was hoarse as she spoke up.
Xin Yi looked at her with a burning curiosity which he did not bother to hide.
"And what might that be?" He inquired of her.
"I will show it to you," she stated as she handed the phone to him.
Xin Yi raised his brows on seeing her give him the phone. For the past few weeks, she had always made sure he stayed away from her phone. Now that she was giving it to him herself, he did not know what he was to think of it.
Nevertheless, he still received the phone whose screen was currently lit up.
Xin Yi could see and read the messages, and with each message he read, his eyes widened.
He did not even complete the messages as he looked up to Zhang Luiying who had a pale face.
"Why didn’t you tell me about it?" Xin Yi asked, his voice betraying the frustration he felt from her hiding such a massive matter from him.
"I am sorry, I thought that was the next best thing to do, It was not my intention to bother you, I thought I could handle it on my own," Zhang Luiying was close to tears as her entire body trembled.
"You did not want to bother me? Did you think you could handle it on your own? Where did you get such a twisted logic from? Okay, now that you did not tell me about it for the past few weeks, have you been able to sort the issue out?" Xin Yi sneered, and she shook her head negatively in response.
"I thought as much, Luiying, I am your husband, and I would not find anything which concerns you to be a bother, you should not have kept this away from me, keeping it away from me could cause serious consequences," Xin Yi ruffled his hair due to frustrations.
"I am sorry, I should have told you about it," she could only apologize, for she knew that she was mistaken in this matter.
"Do you have any idea who might be threatening you? Nothat doesn’t seem right, it’s someone you do not know, but the person should be close to your parents, they could also be the one responsible for separating you away from your parents," Xin Yi analyzed.
