Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Who Is He Truly?

"That is a superb thing, it is excellent that you do not want to stay away from your brother despite everything he had gone through," Zhou Mian commented, completely proud of the man she fell in love with.

He looked at her with a smile and before long, they arrived at a building.

It was small but it was enough for a single person to live there.

Tang Mo parked the call as he gestured for her to follow him.

They both walked into the building and met a lady, who seemed to be the caretaker and also the one who took care of his brother.

She was a young lady, probably Zhou Mian’s age, but she looked haggard. This was the first thing Zhou Mian noticed and she frowned.

"Master Tang, you are here," the lady exclaimed on seeing him and he nodded.

"Feng Jiu, how is he?" Tang Mo asked as he and Zhou Mian had their seats.

Zhou Mian noticed that she looked pale just at the mention of his name, and she was worried. Could there be something wrong?

"He is fine, he is asleep presently, let me get you something to drink," she spoke hastily before rushing into the kitchen.

"Is she always this way?" Zhou Mian questioned.

"Can you explain? I don’t understand what you mean," he said to her with a look of confusion, and he sighed.

"Did you not notice how pale and haggard she looked? She also seemed scared when you mentioned your brother, is she always like this?" Zhou Mian asked with more clarity this time.

She was a psychologist, and she was usually very observant. She could tell if something were wrong with someone at a glance, provided she was observant enough.

Now that she mentioned it, his mind went back to the times he visited, and she always had reactions worse than this.

"What are you trying to say?" He asked with his brows furrowed. He knew that she wasn’t one to meddle into the lives of others, except it was important.

"I feel she has something to say, but she is scared, but I am unclear to what makes her scared," Zhou Mian explained to him and he nodded.

"I will make sure to ask her before we leave," he said to her, and she nodded with a smile.

"Here," Feng Jiu came out of the kitchen as she handed the glass of juice to them.

"Thank you," Zhou Mian thanked her with a smile as she looked into her eyes.

She looked into her eyes but Feng Jiu was quick to avert her gaze, but that gave Zhou Mian the chance to see a bruise on her neck and her brows furrowed.

She looked towards Tang Mo who was completely immersed in having his drink.

She cleared her throat, and he turned to look at her with a confused look.

Likewise, she gestured for him to look at her neck, to which he did, and he was surprised to find the bruise.

They exchanged glances, having the same question. How did she get the bruise?

"Uhm Feng Jiu, how did you get the bruise on your neck?" Tang Mo asked. free𝑤ebnovel.com

She was shocked as she hastily used her hair to cover her neck, but it was too late as they had already seen it.

"It is a question," Tang Mo ordered.

"It is nothing, I fell, and it caused me to get a bruise," she hastily replied, but her earlier hesitance in replying made Zhou Mian to think otherwise.

She felt that there was a different story altogether and it seemed it was something which could threaten her life.

"Master, don’t ask me how I fell, I believe he will be awake, I will go check on him now," she rushed her speech before she dashed into a room.

"She must be hiding something," Tang Mo commented.

"Do you feel the same way?" Zhou Mian asked while looking at the door with a profound look. She was curious, and would rest if she did not find out what was wrong.

Ten minutes later, Feng Jiu came out, but she was not alone, she was pushing a wheelchair which had someone on it.

Zhou Mian was casually taking sips from the glass until she heard Tang Mo scream excitedly, ’brother’ before she turned to look at the spot.

She was stunned on seeing who it was as the glass cup fell from her hands immediately while she stood up in shock.

’Is this his brother?’ She asked as her breathing became heavy, she was having a panic attack.

She looked at Feng Jiu who also looked scared, and she came to a conclusion immediately. Not only that, but she seemed to have understood why she looked pale and haggard.

Anyone who was close to this person would have the same reaction.

She took in mouthful of breaths as she tried to steady her breathing, but it was not working. Instead, she became pale as she recalled what had happened a very long time ago.

She recalled why she had even chosen to study psychology. The reason for that was the person seated on the wheelchair.

*Flashback!*

Zhou Mian was walking home during a particular day, and it was late at night.

She would have driven but her car her broken down, and she could not order a ride because it was already late.

Thankfully, her home was not too far, and she could walk there, but she did not expect to get ambushed.

As she almost reached her home, she was surrounded by five men and their leader was none other than Tang Mo’s brother.

She had just returned from the states, and she had never experienced such a thing which caused her to be frightened.

"What do you want?" She put on a brave front as she questioned them, but only she knew how she was panicking within.

"Relax little lady, we have been watching you," it was Tang Mo’s brother who spoke as he stared at her with lewd eyes while licking his lips.
