Chapter 95: Meng Nian(2)

Haoyu didn’t flinch. He didn’t try to take it back. He didn’t even look guilty. "Yeah."

Meng Nian exhaled, tilting his head slightly as he studied Haoyu. "You really don’t get it, do you?"

Haoyu’s fingers curled tighter around his cup. He hated when people spoke in riddles, especially him. "Then explain it."

Meng Nian leaned back, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. "Nah. You wouldn’t believe me even if I did."

Haoyu’s jaw clenched. "Then don’t bring it up."

Meng Nian didn’t respond right away. He took a sip of his coffee, as if weighing his next words. Then, after a long pause, he said, "You’re right about one thing—I’ve graduated. I won’t be at the school anymore."

Something about the way he said that made Haoyu’s chest feel uncomfortably tight. He ignored it. Good. That means things can go back to normal.

"Great," he muttered, looking away. "No more weird run-ins."

Meng Nian huffed a quiet laugh. "No more weird run-ins, huh?" He swirled his coffee absentmindedly before setting it down. "Then I guess I should make this one count."

Haoyu turned back, frowning. "What—"

Before he could finish, Meng Nian reached across the table and flicked his forehead. Hard.

"The hell?!" Haoyu jerked back, rubbing his forehead. "What was that for?!"

Meng Nian just grinned, completely unfazed. "So you won’t forget me too easily."

"Like I could even if I wanted to," Haoyu grumbled under his breath.

Meng Nian leaned in slightly, voice dropping just enough that it sent an unexplainable shiver down Haoyu’s spine. "Then don’t, I’d like for you not to forget me Haoyu.." ƒгeewebnovёl.com

"What is it you want from me exactly Meng Nian.."

".."

"You’re asking me?"

Haoyu nodded maybe he could fufil it and they’ll be on their separate ways.

"In that case...I want to..." he whispered the words into Haoyu’s ears as his face reddened.

"Why would you think of something like that.."

Meng Nian shrugged and then stretched. "It’s not like I’m actually going to do it with you.."

"..."

"What’s that supposed to me? That I can’t take it.."

"Yes you can’t take it and also because.."

"I can do it, so let’s go.."

"..."

"Alright then, it’s not by force you can run away if you want to.."

Haoyu scowled, but there was no way in hell he was backing down now. "Whatever. Let’s just go."

He didn’t know why he agreed, but somehow, they ended up walking toward a nearby hotel. The whole situation felt surreal—like he’d fallen into a trap but couldn’t pinpoint exactly when. Meng Nian, as usual, was too damn pleased with himself.

When they reached the hotel, Meng Nian went up to the front desk and booked a room like it was the most normal thing in the world. Haoyu, on the other hand, stood stiffly beside him, trying not to think too much about what they were doing.

The receptionist smiled as she handed over the room key. "Enjoy your stay. Oh, and here’s a complimentary stationery set for our guests."

She passed Meng Nian a small gift bag. Haoyu barely glanced at it—until Meng Nian opened it and pulled out a neatly wrapped set of writing materials... and a single, very obvious condom.

There was a beat of silence.

Meng Nian stared at the item in his hand, then at the receptionist, who was still smiling politely, completely unfazed.

Haoyu, on the other hand, felt his brain short-circuit. His mouth opened, then closed. His entire face burned.

Meng Nian turned to him, expression unreadable. "Huh."

"Huh?! The hell do you mean ’huh’?!" Haoyu hissed, voice low but panicked. "Why the fuck is that in there?!"

The receptionist blinked, finally noticing their reactions. "Oh, it’s standard. Many of our guests are couples, so we include it as a courtesy."

Haoyu felt like dying on the spot. "We’re not—"

Meng Nian interrupted smoothly, completely ignoring Haoyu’s frantic denial. "That’s thoughtful of you."

Haoyu whipped around. "Meng Nian!"

Meng Nian simply tucked the condom back into the bag and smirked. "You heard her. It’s a courtesy."

Haoyu wanted to strangle him. He also wanted to disappear. Preferably both.

The receptionist, seemingly oblivious to his suffering, nodded and gestured toward the elevators. "Enjoy your stay."

Meng Nian grabbed the key card and casually slung an arm around Haoyu’s shoulders as he guided him toward the elevator.

Haoyu shoved him off the moment they were out of earshot. "Don’t fucking touch me."

Meng Nian chuckled. "Relax. It’s not like I’m actually going to do anything to you here."

Meng Nian hummed, twirling the key card between his fingers as they stepped into the elevator. Haoyu kept his arms crossed, glaring at the doors as if they personally offended him.

The moment they reached their floor, he stalked ahead, pushing into the room without waiting for Meng Nian. The door clicked shut behind them. The air felt heavier now—too quiet, too expectant.

Haoyu gritted his teeth. He wasn’t going to stand around and let Meng Nian mess with him any longer. He was the one who said he could handle it. Fine. Then he’d handle it.

Without another word, he reached for the hem of his shirt and pulled it off. His jacket hit the floor next. Then his belt.

Meng Nian barely had time to blink before Haoyu was unzipping his pants.

"Whoa calm down tiger, go take a shower first.."

"..."

"Why? Let’s just get this over with."

".."

"A good shower will loosen you up, this room has two so I’ll use the other one.."

Haoyu hissed but didn’t say anything, he folded his clothes and walked into the bathroom.

[Are you ready for this? It’s not like he’s forcing you, you can just leave.]

Lotus felt Haoyu was being dramatic or he wanted to try it.

"No, if I give what he wants we can go our separate ways.."

Lotus didn’t say anything, he had a feeling giving a cat milk will only make it want it more.
