Reborn as a Succubus: Time To Live My Best Life!-Chapter 394: Greedy
The morning air was absolutely crisp as the Syux caravan assembled for departure.
Melisa stretched, feeling every delicious ache in her body. Her pussy was still sensitive, her ass even more so, and walking normally was an ongoing challenge.
But, perhaps that was to be expected after getting railed by someone who could pass as a sex goddess.
[Worth it. Totally worth it.]
Guards loaded supplies while Isabella haggled with a kitsune merchant over "one last purchase." That wand of hers was popular as ever. Armia was doing stretches. Raven stood perfectly still, watching everything with her usual intensity.
Margaret caught Melisa’s eye and grinned knowingly.
[Of course she can tell.]
Silviana emerged from the palace, her nine tails fanned out behind her. She wore formal robes today, white and silver, every inch the dignified Matriarch. Only the slight smirk on her lips as she glanced Melisa’s way briefly hinted at what they’d done.
"Citizens of Syux!" Her voice carried across the courtyard. "Before you depart, I have a parting gift."
The crowd that had gathered to see them off murmured with curiosity.
"Yalmir and Syux have maintained diplomatic relations for years, but never have we had a permanent representative in your capital." Silviana gestured, and a familiar figure bounded out from behind her.
Rakia appeared, wearing traveling clothes but somehow making them look like a costume. Her pink and purple hair was tied up with bells that jingled with every movement.
"I am sending Rakia Sunweaver as Yalmir’s ambassador to Syux. She will represent kitsune interests and continue building the bonds we’ve strengthened during your visit."
The crowd applauded. Aria stepped forward, bowing slightly.
"Yalmir’s ambassador will be welcomed with all honors due her station."
Rakia’s eyes locked onto Melisa. Her grin was absolutely wicked.
[Oh no.]
"I’m SO excited to be working closely with you, Melisa!" Rakia bounced over, and before Melisa could react, pulled her into a deep kiss.
The crowd erupted in cheers and laughter.
When Rakia finally pulled back, Melisa was breathless and flushed dark purple.
"Looking forward to our future collaborations," Rakia purred.
Melisa just stood and blinked.
Isabella was cackling. Margaret looked thoroughly entertained. Even Aria had a smile tugging at her lips.
"I, uh..." Melisa cleared her throat. "Actually, Matriarch, I was hoping I could return in the future. I didn’t get much chance to study kitsune magic while we were dealing with Shadow Mages."
Silviana’s expression softened.
"You’ll always be welcome here, Melisa. My door is open to you." Her eyes gleamed. "For study purposes. And other activities."
Melisa swallowed.
"Thank you. Really. For everything."
Silviana stepped closer, speaking quietly enough that only Melisa could hear.
"Thank you for showing my people that nim and kitsune can always stand together. And for that wonderful night." She winked. "My bed will miss you."
Melisa’s face burned.
The Matriarch addressed the crowd once more.
"Travel safely, friends of Yalmir. May the winds guide you home."
---
The journey back to Syux was uneventful.
Rakia proved to be an absolute chaos gremlin on the road, somehow getting into mischief at every stop. She flirted with guards, convinced a merchant to give her free samples through sheer force of personality, and at one point organized an impromptu dance party at their campsite.
"She’s exhausting," Armia muttered, watching Rakia teach some guards a kitsune drinking song.
"She’s fun," Isabella countered. "You should try it sometime."
"I know how to have fun."
"Arm wrestling doesn’t count."
By the time Syux’s walls came into view, Melisa was actually relieved. As much as she’d enjoyed Yalmir, being home felt right.
The caravan entered through the main gates to minimal fanfare. Most citizens barely glanced at them. Just another diplomatic mission returning.
"I need a bath," Isabella announced. "And then I need to find someone to fuck. Not necessarily in that order."
"I’m visiting the training grounds," Armia said. "Haven’t had a proper workout in days."
"I should check in with Javir," Melisa added.
But first, she had business at the palace.
Aria’s audience chamber was empty except for Rakia and Melisa.
The queen sat on her throne, but her posture was relaxed. She’d changed into simpler robes, the kind she wore for informal meetings.
"So, Ambassador Sunweaver." Aria leaned forward. "Your role in Syux will involve attending court functions, providing counsel on kitsune affairs, and maintaining communication with the Matriarch."
"Sounds boring," Rakia said cheerfully.
"It can be. But it’s important work." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Rakia tilted her head, bells tinkling.
"Can I still do my art? The festivals and performances?"
"Of course. Cultural exchange is part of your mandate." Aria smiled slightly. "Actually, I have a proposal. You’re the same age as Melisa, correct?"
"Eighteen, yes!"
"Syux Academy accepts students for advanced magical training. As ambassador, you’d benefit from understanding how we teach magic. And it would give you peers your own age."
Rakia’s eyes lit up.
"I could study at the famous Syux Academy? Learn all your secret spells?" She glanced at Melisa. "Be in classes with you?"
"Probably," Melisa said. "I’m in the Prestige Class, but we share some general courses."
"YES! Absolutely yes! When do I start?"
Aria’s smile widened.
"I’ll have the paperwork prepared. You’ll begin next week."
Rakia squealed and launched herself at Aria, hugging her before the queen could react. Then she did the same to Melisa, planting a quick kiss on her cheek before bounding toward the door.
"I need to find my rooms! Unpack! Explore the city! So much to do!"
She disappeared in a jingle of bells, leaving Melisa and Aria alone.
"She’s going to be a handful," Aria said.
"You have no idea."
They stood in comfortable silence for a moment. The weight of their positions seemed lighter here, in this empty room.
"I should go," Melisa said. "Let you get back to queen stuff."
She turned toward the door.
"Wait."
Aria’s hand caught her wrist.
Before Melisa could ask what was wrong, the queen pulled her into a side hallway, checked that they were alone, and kissed her.
This kiss was nothing like the soft, tentative one on the balcony. This was hungry, demanding, Aria’s tongue pushing into Melisa’s mouth and claiming it. Her small hands gripped Melisa’s robe, pulling her closer.
Melisa melted into it, her hands finding Aria’s waist. The queen’s body was small but firm, and she tasted like mint tea.
When they broke apart, both were breathing hard.
"You don’t get to just kiss me and not let me taste your tongue again," Aria said, her face flushed. She actually pouted. "That’s not fair."
Melisa couldn’t help but grin.
"Wow, how greedy are you royal types?"
Aria’s grey eyes gleamed.
"Very."
She kissed Melisa again, softer this time but no less intense. Her tongue traced Melisa’s lower lip before dipping back inside.
[Holy shit. The queen is making out with me in a hallway.]
Aria pulled back just enough to speak, her lips still brushing Melisa’s.
"I have meetings all afternoon. But tonight..." She hesitated, vulnerability flashing across her face. "Would you have dinner with me? Private dinner. Just us."
"Like a date?"
"If you want to call it that."
Melisa’s heart was racing. She’d fought Shadow Mages, survived darian capture, faced down assassins. But this felt more terrifying than all of that.
"Yes," she said. "I’d like that."
Aria’s smile was radiant.
"My chambers. Sunset. Don’t be late."
