A month sounded like such a long time that it felt like it would never end. But time passed too quickly and before anyone knew, it was time for the 10th game.

The sky darkened as soon as the clock struck 0 and the puppet emerged from among the sky. Her eyes looked everywhere but did not seem to be taking in anything. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"Congrulations. Your world made it to the 10th game. What a huge achievement. The system wants to celebrate it as well. So, for such a special occasion, it will give you a special gift. But only if you clear the next game."

The monotonous voice was back and so was the game.

[Game 10: Hero’s making. Play the role given to you and conclude the story in a way that makes sense]

"I hope you all have read through the rules of the game. You can look for additional information inside. I hope you get a role that is useful to you."

The puppet explained before the world went blank around everyone.

Many people opened their system screen to look at the role they had been given.

"What the-! Why am I a farmer"

"What does seller no.2 even mean?"

"I...I am a dog?"

People were confused about their role and their character. Andrew opened his as well and immediately saw his role.

[Player Role: God]

"What a weird role. What role did everyone else get-"

He asked but there was no one around him. So Andrew started walking in the darkness, but he was not able to see any light.

"What the hell am I supposed to do here? What is a god supposed to do?"

Andrew asked calmly but there was no answer.

When in doubt, there was only one place players could turn to. So Andrew also opened the system to see if he could get any answer from it.

[Player Role: God.]

Andrew immediately clicked on the list to check what he had available.

[Skill List: Story board, Omniscience, Guidance, Player Buff (can only be used once)]

"What a shitty skill list. Is this really all a god can do?"

Andrew asked as he looked down at this skill set. It was all passive with no way to attack. But the names of these skills sounded interesting.

"Hmm, let’s check the story board."

[Once upon a time, in a land far...far away, there lived a benevolent king. He was so benevolent that he even parted with all his wealth and kingdom and gave it away to a scammer because of a sob story-]

"What is this scam of a story? What kind of king is this foolish?"

Andrew questioned but the system continued.

[The new scammer did not know how to run a kingdom and ended up being influenced by the people around him, incurred the wrath of an evil dragon. So, the god decided to appoint a new hero, who, with the help of the former king, a saintess and a powerful warrior set out to end the curse and take the kingdom back.]

[Game Objective: Kill the evil and reach the end of the game.]

The story only had that much content. That did not tell Andrew what he needed to know, so he opened his next skill.

A screen immediately appeared in front of him and it showed him the current start of the game. He could see the location of players on the map and their current roles.

[Please choose the hero candidate for the journey and guide the benevolent emperor to meet the hero.]

The list of candidates for the hero were too big, but the emperor only had one name on the list.

"Oh wow-! What are the chances?"

Andrew asked as he look at the system screen.

[Player Name: Emperor.

Current Identity: Benevolent Emperor]

It was a weird coincidence but Andrew did not seem to mind it. In fact, he was thankful that he had at least one powerful candidate to take down the evil dragon.

As for the hero...

"Can I filter this list using levels or something? There are more than a thousand names to go through..."

Andrew complained and the system seemed to have heard him because the list immediately gave him filters.

Once he ran it though the filters and Seraphina’s name appeared on top, just as he had hoped. Andrew chose her as the hero, knowing that she would do a good job.

The Saintess was not even an option. There were a few people in the healing and buffing category and he made sure to remember the other names.

But out of them all, Seraphina was the obvious choice.

As for the warrior, that category was stacked. There were just too many people to choose from, but the name that stood out on top was a familiar one he had not expected to see.

Current Role: The undefeated champion of the Arena]

"Hmm, this name sounds familiar and he is the current highest level among the people. He is clearly the best choice at the moment."

And if not, then the other three would be able to take down the evil dragon.

Andrew did feel a little bad about not choosing Clara to be in the party as well, but her name was not on any list so he could not choose her this time.

In fact, her name was nowhere on any list. Even if he filtered the players, he could not find her anywhere.

"Just where the heck is Clara? Don’t tell me...something happened?"

Andrew questioned. And indeed something had happened.

He was searching for her name in the list of people but Clara had not been given the role of a good guy.

"Tsk, how the hell did I end up becoming the evil dragon? Does that mean...I need to die? But this game is unfair, right? Surely, I won’t die?"

She questioned, but did not get an answer.
