“Ha ha ha, interesting idea!”

Brandon Piers irritably shouted, “Get out,” while Grandfather Piers couldn’t hold back his laughter and gave Pullan a thumbs-up.

He had never seen his grandson so out of sorts; it made him feel a bit cheerful.

Brandon disdainfully glanced at his grandfather, then noticed that all the household servants were struggling to suppress their laughter. They weren’t as bold as Grandfather Piers, but they all had amused expressions. Seeing the embarrassing books on the ground, he felt even worse.

Turning back to look at Abigail, who was holding the pudgy Teddy and still smiling at him, Brandon suddenly felt a bit embarrassed and awkwardly turned to leave. “I’m going back to the study.”

“Take your books with you,” Grandfather Piers called out after Brandon.

Brandon paused for a moment, then quickened his pace as he headed upstairs.

Abigail watched his somewhat embarrassed retreat and couldn’t help but laugh along with Grandfather Piers.

Seeing this, Grandfather Piers raised an eyebrow. “Abigail, give Teddy to Judy and take the books to Brandon. The boy actually got shy.”

“I…”

“Go quickly.” Abigail started to say something, but Grandfather Piers immediately interrupted her.

Abigail saw the mischievous smile on Grandfather Piers’ face, shook her head helplessly, handed Teddy over to Kelly, then gathered up the four books. Seeing the last book, “Wolf-like CEO,” she twitched at the corners of her mouth, impressed by Pullan’s imagination.

Brandon had just sat down in the study when Abigail arrived with the books.

Although he was in a good mood seeing Abigail follow him, his face immediately darkened when his gaze fell on the books in her hands. “I told you, I don’t need those.”

“Oh, then let me have them. I think they’re not bad,” Abigail said, preparing to leave with the books.

Brandon’s expression changed slightly. She thought they were good? What was this woman planning!

“Put them down.”

“Huh? Didn’t you say you didn’t need them?” Abigail turned back and asked.

Brandon said, “… Those were bought by Pullan for me. If you like them, ask him to buy you some.”

Abigail paused, thoughtfully looking at the man—were the books really that precious?

“Stop whatever you’re thinking about,” Brandon said irritably.

“Oh, so should I leave them for you?” Abigail stepped forward and placed the books on Brandon’s desk.

“Put them down,” the man said sullenly.

Abigail chuckled softly and put the books down.

Brandon looked at Abigail’s curved, crescent-moon-like eyes. “Is it really that funny?”

“Not really, I just feel like laughing.” Abigail answered quite seriously.

Brandon suddenly felt a bit depressed. He stood up abruptly, leaned forward, and pinched Abigail’s cheeks with his long fingers. “Do you believe I’ll punish you by making you copy the highlights of this book by hand.”

“Hmph! Do you think you’re the dean?” Abigail reached out and slapped the man’s big hands.

“I’m your fiancé.”

“Hmph, then let me go first!” Abigail was annoyed by having her cheeks pinched. Although it didn’t hurt, it was somewhat embarrassing, and she glared at Brandon.

“So fierce? Do you want to bite me!” Seeing Abigail’s furious expression, Brandon finally felt a bit better.

Abigail was outraged. Hearing his words, her boldness surged, and she suddenly opened her mouth and bit Brandon’s nearby nose.

Brandon was stunned. This little fat girl’s action came too suddenly. He was caught off guard and just stood there dumbly, forgetting to resist at all.

Abigail felt triumphant, her bright, almond-shaped eyes full of pride as she looked at Brandon with an expression that seemed to say, “If you don’t let go of my face, I’ll bite off your nose.”

But after a long moment, Brandon still didn’t let go of her cheeks. Instead, his gaze changed from surprise to confusion, and his handsome face began to redden. His narrow, amber-colored eyes grew misty, whether from pain or for some other reason.

The man was already handsome; now that they were so close—one pinching the other’s cheeks, the other biting the other’s nose—their warm breaths mingled against each other’s skin.

Thump, thump, thump…

Abigail could almost hear nothing else around her, just her uncontrollably accelerating heartbeat.

Brandon didn’t fare much better. It clearly hurt to be bitten, but he didn’t find it the least bit unpleasant. His gaze involuntarily drifted down, landing on Abigail’s pink lips.

Actually, there was nothing wrong with some chubbiness; even her lips were soft and plump.

Thinking this, Brandon couldn’t help but swallow.

Abigail, with her head tilted up and biting the man’s nose, couldn’t see his reaction. But with her sharp senses, she finally realized how ambiguous this act was under his heated gaze. She let go awkwardly, “I… mm…”

But just as she released him, the man pecked her on the lips. Abigail’s almond-shaped eyes widened in disbelief as she froze, “You… you… what are you doing?”

Abigail’s words pulled Brandon out of his trance. “You can bite me, but I can’t bite you?”

“Can that be the same?” Abigail retorted.

Who knew that Brandon would lower his head and peck her lips again. “What’s different?”

He sighed inwardly; they were just as soft as he thought.

Abigail was furious. “You…”

“I bit the top one just now, naturally, I have to bite the bottom. Otherwise, I won’t be able to sleep,” Brandon said righteously, unaware that his earlobes had turned pink.

Huff!

Abigail stared at his straightforward face, but suddenly noticed the teeth marks she had left on his nose. She felt her whole body heat up, unable to stay there a moment longer. She glared at him fiercely, then turned and walked out in embarrassment.

Watching the chubby figure stomp away angrily, Brandon awkwardly rubbed his bitten nose. He had no idea why, but even though she had let go, his nose still felt itchy, making his whole body feel uncomfortable.

Only after leaving Brandon’s study did Abigail feel as if she were about to overheat. Her mind was filled with the burning, palpable look Brandon had just given her—as if it were still glued to her, making her entire body squirm. Even the lips that had been bitten felt slightly numb.

Her body felt a strange tingle that made her terribly uncomfortable.

But oddly enough, she didn’t hate it at all. Instead, her mind kept replaying his every move, almost as if trying to engrain those details deeper and enhance her sense of pleasure.

Realizing what she was doing, Abigail’s cheeks grew even hotter. She lightly slapped her own face. “Abigail, what are you thinking!”

Age must be catching up with her, making her this easy to fluster.

No, rather it’s her youthful body being too easily provoked.

But then she felt annoyed with herself again. What was she thinking?

Just then, Aunt Claudia came upstairs and saw Abigail talking to herself at the top of the staircase. “Abigail, are you okay?”

Abigail snapped back to reality, touching her cheek. “Ah, I’m fine.”

“Then why is your face so red? Are you feverish?” Aunt Claudia asked worriedly.

Abigail quickly looked at Kelly behind her. “I’m fine. Kelly, let me take Teddy.”

Abigail hurried over to take Teddy. However, Kelly leaned in and whispered, “What were you doing in the room with the young master?”

Boom!

Abigail’s mind went blank, and her neck turned bright red.
