Chapter 1186: A Show of Armand’s Might ( 1186 )

Garak crossed his arms and shook his head.

"Ahh... I hope they all stop before our prince, or our king... or... Sir Alf comes. If they do... I wonder what will happen to these guards."

Marcor glared hard at them, both magic blades still in his hands. "I do wonder why those two maids..." He paused, looking at the maids standing behind the soldiers. "Why are they so insistent on coming in? And these guards... why did they suddenly fly into a rage?"

"Yeah... I also wonder. If one of them was like you, hot-blooded, I’d understand." Garak teased, nudging Marcor lightly. "But all eight of them? That’s weird."

Marcor noticed one of the maids holding something, and all the Mathrias guards around them suddenly had their eyes turn red.

"Garak?"

"Mm... I know. We’re both lucky our mana talkies are in our ears. They’re not just for communication, they have special magical properties designed by Prince Javier." Garak channeled his mana into his mana talkie and tapped it. "They’re also designed to prevent... err... what did Prince Javier call it again?"

Marcor kept his eyes locked on the guards. "Don’t tell me you forgot, Garak. They’re designed to prevent, counter, or defend against manipulation magic, skills, or curses."

"Yeah." Garak rubbed his chin. "No wonder Prince Javier, our King, and even Sir Alf and Mrs. Erinette insisted that every Armand staff member, personnel, and maid keep their mana talkies in their ears at all times."

Marcor channeled his mana and tapped his mana talkie while glancing at Garak.

"Garak."

"Yeah, I know." Garak tapped his mana talkie. "You contact the maids inside, and I’ll inform Sir Alf."

"Alright." Marcor tapped his mana talkie and contacted the maids inside the room. "We have a problem here. Make sure no one slips in through the windows."

A soft crackle was heard before a calm voice replied. "Ah~ we’re busy here. Myra already placed a barrier around the bed to ensure no one can touch it." She paused, then spoke to her partner and Myra. "Your left, Myra, there’s someone crawling through a hidden passage."

A distant voice echoed from inside the room. "I know! Something is coming from the windows. Ugh! Why do they have to come from the windows? Activate the second barrier rod around the bed!"

Garak turned his head when he heard a crashing sound from inside. "Marcor, we’re heading in. Once I open the door, we both go inside and secure the area to assist our maids."

"Roger, Garak!" Marcor sheathed one of his blades and drew his mana gun, channeling mana into it as he aimed at the Mathrias guards.

"Ready. In three, two, one!" Garak opened the door, and both of them moved swiftly. Marcor stepped back, covering Garak’s entry before following him in with his mana gun held in one hand and a blade in the other. Once inside, Marcor closed the door, locked it, and took out an expandable rod, securing the door firmly in place, ensuring no one could force entry.

Garak pulled his mana gun and started firing at the weird creatures crawling in from the windows. The two battle maids moved with fluid grace, wielding dual magic swords, their blades glowing as they sliced through the creatures with precise, swift strikes. Myra stood behind them, channeling healing and buffing magic, her hands glowing as she reinforced their speed and strength.

"Marcor! Plant more barrier magic rods along the walls! Make sure they can’t break through!"

"Roger! Cover me!"

"Go, go, go!!!" Garak shouted, continuing to fire at the creatures, skinny, furless beasts with dark red miasma oozing from their bodies, their mouths dripping with acidic saliva as they swarmed through the windows.

"Myra! Contact Sir Alf or Mrs. Erinette about the situation! They might be after our King Garius!"

"I’m on it!" Myra tapped her mana talkie while one of the maids stepped back to cover her, her swords flashing as she cut down another creature.

"I’ve finished planting the rods on every wall, but I can’t do anything about the two broken windows!" Marcor shouted, firing his mana gun at the creatures as they vaporized upon impact, only for more to crawl out from the shattered openings.

"Don’t worry about it. Keep shooting!"

Marcor grinned darkly, his aura flaring as he cracked his neck. "Time for some fucking killing!! I couldn’t kill those shitty guards before, but now for these fucking weird creatures?" He let out a loud laugh, sheathing his magic blade and drawing another mana gun.

"Time for dual fun!!"

Meanwhile, outside in the open courtyard.

Around fifty battle drones equipped with mana gatling guns and mana missiles fired from the air, raining down bursts of mana bullets and explosive projectiles onto the creatures swarming below, vaporizing them in flashes of light.

Thirty White Puppet Knights stood in formation, firing mana rifles with precision, covering the area where Javier and his girls stood.

Javier stood calmly, admiring the huge portable room he had just summoned, while other puppet worker knights swiftly modified it into a fully equipped medical and surgical facility, sanitizing and preparing every surface and tool.

Liana had already unsheathed her white ore magic bow, channeling mana as she activated her skill. Gloria summoned her white ore warhammer, Felicia drew her special dual magic swords, Delya gripped her huge magic scythe, and Mimi tightened her battle gauntlets. They all looked at Javier, who was rubbing his chin with one hand, the other behind his back, relaxed as he observed the portable room and mumbled something about installing a mana gatling gun on the rooftop.

"Young Master!!" Liana shouted.

Javier, still rubbing his chin, glanced at her. "What?"

"We have a situation right now! Doesn’t this mean Gracelle is in danger!?"

"Hmm?" Javier looked up at the sky where his battle drones fired bursts of mana bullets, vaporizing monsters before they could even get close to the puppet knights. "Oh, you mean her room? Well... let’s just say, I already have six puppet knights inside. And I’m sure they’re attacking these monsters..." He paused, checking his mana watch. "...by now. All I need to focus on is this operation."

Gloria nudged her glasses and looked at Javier. "Shouldn’t we find the one who summoned all these monsters and kill them?"

"Nah..." Javier shrugged. "Let them exhaust themselves. Besides, it’s time to show Armand’s power to them. Since I’m sure this is one of the war tactics they’ll use later, by showing them that summoned rift monsters are easily handled by Armand, I’m sure they’ll realize it’s useless to challenge us."

"What about your family and the Armand staff and personnel?" Felicia asked, remaining alert to her surroundings.

"Hmm? You don’t need to worry about that. You all know how strong Father, Mother, Alf, and Erinette are, right?" Javier chuckled. "Besides... do you think I’m someone who’s careless? My knights are already surrounding this entire estate, and inside, where my family and all Armand personnel are... well, let’s just say... the best among the best puppet knights are there, along with..." Javier smirked. "Shironii."
