Reborn As Super Heiress-Chapter 1861 - 1764: Bill’s Reminder
Huo Sining smiled faintly and didn’t say much, just nodded slightly to the doctor.
The doctor hurriedly concealed the surging emotions within, and after confirming multiple times that his examination was correct, he gestured to Father Li and walked towards the door.
Over there, Father Li and his brother immediately understood, and quickly followed the family doctor out. As soon as the door was closed, Father Li couldn’t wait to ask:
"Doctor Bill, how exactly is my father’s condition?"
After deliberating for a moment, Bill finally spoke:
"Mr. Li, as for the old master’s illness, I believe you two should know better than I do. The hospital has already given the final notice before, and judging from Old Master Li’s current condition, he can only take it one day at a time. His heart cannot bear too much burden."
The Li Family Brothers were well aware of how severe their father’s heart condition was. Hearing Bill’s words, they fell silent, but the tension and worry in their eyes only grew stronger.
"However, I don’t think you’re entirely without options."
Bill thought of the little girl standing by Old Master Li’s bedside, and couldn’t help but show a wry smile.
Upon hearing this, the Li Family Brothers quickly raised their heads, their eyes sharply fixed on Bill: "What do you mean by that? If we had a way, would we be waiting until now?"
Bill shook his head with a smile and said, "No, no, Mr. Li, you’ve misunderstood me. What I mean is, if you’re looking to treat the old master, you’ve tried Western medicine so many times and should know that with the current medical technology in America, there’s unlikely to be an effective solution. Haven’t you considered trying a different treatment approach?"
"A different treatment approach?" The Li Family Brothers exchanged glances, not quite understanding the underlying meaning of Bill’s words.
Seeing their expressions, Bill realized they probably didn’t understand what he meant. He sighed inwardly, thinking that these two were really confused. Oh well, he decided to explain it to them clearly.
"Mr. Li, you’re both Huaxia-born, so you should have a better understanding of Huaxia civilization than I do. As far as I know, Huaxia Country has a complete and ancient medical system. Within Huaxia, there are many who have mastered the secret techniques of Chinese medicine. Since Western medicine isn’t effective, why don’t you give Chinese medicine a try?"
Hearing Bill’s words, the Li Family Brothers were momentarily stunned but quickly came around and replied with a laugh and tears:
"Doctor Bill, you might not be very familiar with Huaxia Country’s medical techniques. In fact, Chinese medicine is not as mysterious as you think. Besides, Chinese medicine has been declining, and most hospitals in Huaxia are dominated by Western medicine. Although Chinese medicine can indeed treat diseases, it’s helpless against some complex conditions. Our old master’s illness, even Western medicine can’t offer an effective solution, let alone Chinese medicine."
The Li Family Brothers thought Bill was joking, but they didn’t expect Bill, hearing their words, to knit his brows tightly, showing a face of disagreement:
"A medical practice that has been passed down for thousands of years must have its unique secrets. I believe you might be misunderstanding Chinese medicine. Perhaps this secret technique is far more profound and miraculous than we realize."
The Li Family Brothers immediately displayed an expression of confusion in their eyes: "Mr. Bill, why do you hold Chinese medicine in such high regard? This doesn’t quite align with your usual conduct."
Bill glanced at the Li Family Brothers and sighed: "You two arrived a bit late, so you missed a very crucial part. But what I want to tell you is that ten minutes ago, your father’s heartbeat was erratic, his breathing was faint, and his condition was very dangerous. I had already calculated that Old Master Li would definitely have to be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment this time."
"However, just before I left, I checked the old master again, and what shocked me was that in just a few short minutes, Old Master Li’s heart rate had already recovered, and even his pulse was stable. The old master was clear-headed, not at all like someone who had fainted; it was as though he had just taken a nap, and even the fatigue in his eyes had diminished quite a bit."
"Honestly, this result left me very surprised. I wondered if I was seeing things, so I checked again. This time, I am certain I was not wrong. Just moments ago, in those few short minutes, what seemed like a few casual actions indeed alleviated Old Master Li’s symptoms!"
The Li Family Brothers’ pupils suddenly shrank, and their hearts pounded like a drum, looking at Bill with nervous eagerness:
"Doctor Bill, are you serious? What exactly happened just now, and who is the person you mentioned?"
Bill shrugged and said, "Perhaps you can ask Butler Li about what specifically happened. Of course, if you don’t trust me, you can also take the old master to the hospital for a full-body check-up. Maybe the data detected by the instruments will be more comparable and convincing."
With that, Bill no longer lingered at the Li Family, and with his emergency kit slung over his shoulder, he turned and walked out.
The Li Family Brothers, however, didn’t bother to see him off. They both returned to the study, excitedly pulling Butler Li out, impatiently asking:
"Butler Li, after father fainted just now, besides Bill, was there anyone else who looked at the old master? Tell us everything that happened before we entered the room, don’t omit any details."
Butler Li didn’t know what was going on with the two of them, but he still replied honestly:
"After the old master fainted, I called Doctor Bill over. After checking, Doctor Bill also had no solution for the old master’s illness and said to send him to the hospital quickly. Miss Yu then called for an ambulance."
"Then, I and Bill pressed the old master’s Hegu point, trying to wake him up, but this method didn’t seem effective. At this point, the young master and that Miss Huo Sining came over. Seeing the urgency of the situation, Miss Huo said she could help take a look." 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"Miss Huo then stepped forward, took the old master’s pulse, and pressed a few other places on the old master’s body. Then she said the old master was temporarily okay, just fainted from anger."
"After that, you both came in, and then, the old master woke up."
Father Li and his brother exchanged a glance, their eyes gleaming with bright light.
If their guess was correct, the person Bill mentioned must be none other than Huo Sining.
"You just let Huo Sining take a look when she offered? Weren’t you worried she might mess things up? How could a young girl like her know how to save someone?"
Father Li couldn’t help but raise doubts.
