Reborn in the Survival Adventure Game-Chapter 92: The World Beyond the Forest
Chapter 92 - 92: The World Beyond the Forest
Caelen closed the door to his room, the wooden latch clicking into place behind him. The cheers and music of the celebration still echoed outside, but in here, it was quiet.
He sat down on the edge of his bed and let out a long breath.
A thousand people. An entire village.
He looked at his hands. They didn't feel any different, but everything had changed. He had built something. Something real.
Ding!
A golden shimmer sparked above his bed. The air rippled, like water disturbed.
Then came a familiar voice.
"Yo."
Caelen blinked. "Jeff?"
The glowing figure formed in front of him, relaxed as always—leaning back, arms crossed, floating just above the floor like he had no weight at all.
Jeff grinned. "Congrats, buddy. You really did it. One thousand people. That's no joke."
Caelen rubbed his forehead. "You're really real, huh?"
"Of course I'm real! Just... not in the way you're used to. Let's just say I'm your handler. Admin. You know—support guy."
"Support?" Caelen muttered. "You dropped me in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a loincloth."
"Okay, fair," Jeff laughed. "But look how far you've come!"
Caelen rolled his eyes. "So what now? You going to give me another farming skill?"
"Nope. Today, I'm giving you something special." Jeff snapped his fingers.
A bright flash lit the room. When it faded, a large, glowing scroll hovered in the air. It slowly unrolled, revealing a giant map—detailed, colorful, and alive. Tiny clouds moved across it. Mountains rose. Oceans shimmered.
Caelen stood, walking closer.
"This..." he whispered. "Is this the world?"
Jeff nodded. "You earned it. Welcome to the real stage, Caelen. You've been in the tutorial zone this whole time."
Caelen blinked. "The what?"
Jeff tapped the map with a glowing finger.
"This—this forest? The Forgotten Forest? It's not just a forest. It's an entire continent. Wild, untamed, lost to the world for over a thousand years."
Caelen's mouth was dry. He followed Jeff's finger as it moved.
"To the west," Jeff said, "are the Ten Human Kingdoms. Each has a ruler, an army, and a whole mess of politics. Some are peaceful. Most aren't."
The map shifted.
"Here," Jeff continued, "is the Demon King's continent. Yeah, he's real. He's awake. And no, he's not your friend."
Caelen raised a brow. "Cool."
Jeff moved on.
"Up here—floating islands. Dragon territory. Big ones, mean ones, ancient and bored. They don't like visitors."
Caelen stared as one of the islands drifted across the map, casting a shadow over the lands below.
"And there," Jeff pointed to a slice in the ocean, deep and dark, "is the Marines' Domain. Not navy. Actual marine folk—sea kings, leviathans, giant crabs with attitude. Don't go swimming there."
Caelen frowned. "Great."
"Above all that," Jeff went on, "is the Angelic Realm. Floating cities in the higher sky. Magic, order, wings, and pride."
"And here?" Caelen pointed to a shadowy land to the east.
"Vampire Dominion," Jeff said simply. "They don't get sunlight. Or manners."
"And what's that?" Caelen pointed to a towering spire at the center of the map.
"The Tower," Jeff said. "Nobody knows who built it. But it connects everything. And it's said the one who reaches the top can reshape the world."
Caelen stepped back, staring at the map in silence.
"This is... massive," he muttered.
Jeff nodded. "You're a tiny piece on a huge board. But you've already done what most couldn't. Built a home in the Forgotten Forest."
Caelen exhaled, slow and steady. "So... I really was respawned into the worst possible place."
Jeff grinned. "Yup. Monsters, cursed land, cut off from the world. But you made it."
The map folded gently and floated down to rest on Caelen's table. Jeff hovered near the ceiling now, arms crossed again.
"You've got a lot ahead of you," Jeff said. "Allies to find. Enemies to avoid. Maybe a few gods to tick off."
Caelen didn't answer for a moment. freёnovelkiss.com
Then he smiled.
"Sounds fun."
Jeff laughed. "Now you're talking."
The light around him began to fade.
"One last thing," Jeff said. "You're not alone anymore. You've got people. A village. A future. Protect it. Grow it. And when you're ready..."
He pointed to the Tower on the map.
"...climb."
With a final shimmer, Jeff vanished.
The room was silent again, but not empty.
Caelen sat back down, staring at the map, still glowing faintly in the dark. His heart beat steady, strong.
There was an entire world out there.
But for now, this village... this place... was his.
And he'd protect it.
No matter what.
