Reborn Regress Return: I Am the Heir of Shadows!-Chapter 67: Will You Accept Me?
After a desperate rush, the group reached the exit.
Inside the large hall were broken pillars, damaged stone walls and the corpses of several goblins, but nothing more except a luminous blue portal.
This portal would teleport them back to the entrance, allowing them to take Fran home.
However, they also could leave through the doorway, which would take them to another part of the kingdom on the opposite side of the great mountain.
Julian huffed with his back against the wall.
The cold rock felt amazing as he observed the group and noticed Eleanor limping.
"How are you doing?" He asked as he reached out.
Eleanora's lips curled into a smile as she grabbed his arm, struggled to the wall beside him, and gazed at Fran, who lay on a broken pillar with her limbs spread out.
"This is harder than I thought—you weren't kidding about what you said before, Julian."
He couldn't help but show a faint smile, knowing what she meant.
But he hoped she might come again and help them grow faster, keeping Sena and her alive and allowing them to fight the first devil together.
"If given the chance would you come with me again?"
He was curious.
Yet she was exhausted and scared.
Eleanora turned to face him, her slightly pale face covered in dried sweat, before leaning against his shoulder silently.
"If I come with you." Her low voice quivered. "Would that mean I have a chance?"
'A chance?'
For a moment, he didn't quite understand what she meant.
However, once the reality hit him, he couldn't help but gaze at her face and bite his lower lip.
"is that what you want from me?"
He couldn't stop his voice from shaking.
The meaning behind Eleanora's words was more significant than asking for any other favour right now.
She nodded and faced him with her light pink cheeks.
As the current Maria was far from a coward, she refused to give up on this chance.
If she left this moment and tried to ask when he recovered, who would know when they might have a chance to discuss this topic again?
Right now, she had the advantage!
No matter how dirty and unhanded it might be, she wouldn't let him go.
"I swear that I won't hurt Sena, other than this... no matter what she asks as punishment I will accept it as long as you don't push me away."
Her eyes were dry from the battle with few tears left—she shed small beads from the corner of her eyes while grasping his chest with a feeble grip.
"If I do, Will you tell her everything?" Julian's voice became harsher and more guarded.
He refused to hurt Sena without good reason—she had stuck by him through his worst times and actions, yet accepting Eleanora would definitely hurt her.
A devastating and unfair blow.
Eleanora's lips quivered before curling into a smile as she laughed despite crying.
"What's funny?" He asked in a concerned tone.
"N-nothing it's just how much of a kind and affectionate man you've become."
"That's not true, you'd be disgusted with how I was in my previous life."
Julian hated himself when reflecting on the memories he regained, a disgusting coward too scared to fight or put himself in danger until there was no choice.
He couldn't become that man again.
"Even if you become a merciless dictator or the most useless man alive... I will still love you."
Eleanora's nasal voice sent chills down his spine,
The words only registered after he read them back to himself several times.
"What... that's absurd, nobody can promise that!"
"Julian." Eleanora's hand slipped across his cheek, the warmth a stark contrast to the cold stone behind him as she gazed at him with her gleaming emerald eyes. "I mean it."
"Did you forget how pathetic and stupid you were in our first lives?"
Her lips curled into a wide grin while caressing his cheeks.
The sensation was comforting, and yet he couldn't help but become embarrassed because of the things this beautiful dancer knew about him.
"Forget those stupid things... I was but a foolish kid."
"Haha~ so now you're a big grown man, I cannot tease you?"
Eleanor's fingers twirled his hair while leaning against his chest—the powerful, heavy beating of his chest allowed her to calm down.
She gazed up into his eyes, the slight pain in her muscles causing her to gasp.
"It hurts."
"You shouldn't have pushed so hard. Look at how swollen your calves are."
"Then~ when we get back, massage them?"
It felt like they became a couple flirting in public as she threaded his hair around her fingers, twirling them and forming a small braid.
"You should be so lucky."
"I know~ hehe."
Her bell-light laughter seemed to echo through the room, causing the last hour of his time in this nightmare world to become soothing.
While feeling Eleanora against his chest, he couldn't stop thinking about her request.
"About what you asked." He paused, his hands touching her waist, before gazing down.
"What's the matter?"
Like a seductress, Eleanora's eyes narrowed, filled with a sly glimmer of light.
Her lips curled into a knowing smile.
She wanted to hear, and his answer could only be one.
It was that kind of look.
He couldn't help but find her more devilish and seductive than her past, different from the lovely noble girl he once met.
They had both changed after suffering and enduring.
"I will accept you, but let's take it slow... one step at a time—"
There was no time, no waste in Eleanora's reaction. Her hands gripped both sides of his face, her warm breath blowing against his face, a sweet scent that flowed into his nose as she pulled herself onto her tiptoes.
"Mmph."
A slightly sweet taste from the blood filled her mouth as she pressed her tongue into his mouth, spreading apart his lips with a wet smack.
At first, Julian's eyes widened mid-sentence.
His mouth was suddenly invaded by a squishy red tongue and covered by her juicy lips.
Their kiss was like granting a thirsty man water for the first time in months as Julian's lips pushed against Eleanora, opening her mouth and brushing his tongue against hers in a wet comparison of passion and emotions.
"Nnnph... Mm!"
His tongue slid across the roof of her mouth, tasting the flavour of her lips, gums and saliva while Eleanora sucked on his tongue, swallowing his drool-like sweet ambrosia.

The burning flame within them continued to grow, heating both their bodies to near explosion until with one loud wet noise.
Pop!
Their lips broke apart while heaving as if starved for air while remaining connected by their entangled vision and intertwined silvery threads of saliva bridged between each other.
"That was..."
"Amazing!" Eleanora responded, breathing rapidly as she gasped, her cheeks red.
"You never kissed me like that in the past... I'm shocked!"
"Haha... Well. It's a good Improvement, no?"
Julian spoke softly before flashing a confident grin at Eleanora, reaching out and stroking her cheek.
He felt guilty about neglecting Fran.
But there was a difference between her and Elanora.
"I guess it is," she replied breathlessly, wrapping her arms around Julian's head while staring into his eyes.

"Julian, this isn't a dream, right? You've accepted me even though I've changed, and you have Sena."
Hearing the truth about Julian couldn't help but feel like a scumbag, but the world would soon end, and people didn't give a fuck once there weren't enough people alive.
Though the concept of marriage and love existed, it was tossed aside in favour of temporary relationships of lust that helped one deal with the solitude of surviving in a hellish world.
"Elanora, I don't regret anything as long as Sena and you accept me."
After hearing Julian admit his thoughts and accept her, tears gathered in Eleanora's eyes.
"I will speak to Sena and accept everything in your place, Julian." Eleanora's emerald eyes revealed a powerful mixture of resolve and determination as she leaned against Julian's chest, catching her breath.
Not long after, the group gathered at the portal.
Fran seemed a little distant at first, but soon, she adjusted and returned to her usual self. When they got to the village, she hugged Julian tight, sniffing his neck a few times before rushing home.
"This is where I leave for now Julian, I hope we can do this again."
"Of course, I'll come pick you up soon."
"Nn, don't forget me!"
