RED NOTES AND KISSES-Chapter 18: FRIDA -
Chapter 18: FRIDA: Chapter 18
The collision left Frida sprawled on the ground, her breath coming out in quick, shallow gasps.
Above her, he hovered, his muscular arms braced on either side of her, holding himself in a push-up position so he wouldn't press his weight onto her.
Her heart pounded, not just from the fall, but from his proximity. His dark grey eyes were locked on hers, unreadable, as his chest rose and fell steadily.
His damp shirt clung to his torso, emphasizing the lean, powerful frame beneath.
It took her a second to realize what had happened, they'd both been distracted, neither watching where they were going.
The empty tennis court now bore witness to their messy collision.
Her hand was around his neck, gripping instinctively, and she immediately flushed when she realized how intimate the gesture was.
His gaze flickered to her hand before returning to her face, his expression unreadable but charged.
Then she felt it, the cold, wet sensation against her thighs and legs. She looked down and groaned inwardly.
Water from the bottle he'd been drinking had splashed all over her, soaking her shirt and the tight shorts she'd worn.
Her damp clothes clung to her skin, and she fought the urge to squirm under his steady gaze.
Instead of apologizing, he reached up and pulled the towel off his neck. Without a word, he bent lower, using it to gently dab at the water on her legs.
Frida froze.
The towel was soft against her skin, but the warmth of his hands beneath it sent her nerves into overdrive.
Every slow, deliberate movement left her tingling. Her thighs tensed as he worked his way up, his touch featherlight but electrifying.
Her breathing hitched as he moved closer to the hem of her shorts. Her pulse hammered in her ears, and her body betrayed her, leaving her a trembling mess under his attention.
When he finally looked up, it was through long, dark lashes, his stormy eyes blank but somehow full of something unspoken.
Frida's throat went dry.
And then he stood abruptly, stepping away without a word.
"Ugh, what did she do to him now? Why is he leaving?" one of his friends yelled from the sidelines, their voices cutting through the haze of tension.
Frida sat there, her cheeks burning as she tried to process what had just happened.

Her legs still tingled where his hands had been, and her heart thudded painfully in her chest.
"What's the matter, Frida? You're the shade of a tomato!" one of his friends teased, laughing.
"Frida? Frida?"
Frida woke up with a start.
"Geez, what dream got you drooling like that." Leah teased beside her in her dorm room.
She'd dozed off again.
And her dreams where becoming filled with, more and more of him.
She groaned from the headache she felt and quickly popped open a can downing the painkillers in one shot.
Was it just her or was she falling asleep a lot lately.
And it was unusual because she had extreme insomnia and wouldn't fall asleep unless she took her sleeping pills.
Which was why, it was so odd to her cause she didn't take any to be able to stay awake for her study sessions for the test and she has been dozing off.
She groaned "My head is killing me, I'm craving snickers."
"Didn't you buy these? " Leah giggled passing her a couple bars.
Frida shook her head "No where did you get them?"
"Your bag duh...are you forgetting stuff now too? Sheesh this test is doing a lot to you. Well your not top of the class for nothing." Leah teased returning her attention back to her books.
Frida stared at the snicker bars thoughtfully.
She could swear she didn't buy them, but then again who would at such perfect timing?
