Chapter 208: Chapter 208: You’re Jealous

As the two sides were in a stalemate, Leo Keane finally got out of the car, slowly.

While walking, he kept complaining, "I’ve just come back from Leon Grant’s place and now I’m running so far with you. I’m so exhausted I’ve even lost weight, you know!"

Just as he finished speaking, he noticed Raine Sinclair and Cecilia Sullivan staring at him, feeling awkward at once.

He hurriedly jogged a few steps to stand beside Jonas Hawthorne, lowered his voice, and asked, "Did you call over my sister-in-law too?"

"Wasn’t me," Jonas Hawthorne answered.

"Then how come..." Leo Keane had a puzzled expression, unable to understand why these two always seemed to end up together.

How could such unlikely things keep happening?

A twisted fate?

Before Leo Keane could make any sense of it, he caught Raine Sinclair’s gaze and smiled awkwardly, "Hello, sister-in-law! What a coincidence, we’re meeting again!"

"Sedonia isn’t that big," Raine Sinclair replied blandly, then turned her head.

Cecilia Sullivan raised her eyebrows, seeing Leo Keane’s smile freeze on his face. Instead, she laughed and whispered to Raine Sinclair, "That was a sharp response!"

Leo Keane felt his heart was choked, regretful for opening his mouth a moment ago!

Just then, a servant from the mansion came out to lead them inside.

Raine Sinclair and Cecilia Sullivan walked ahead, Jonas Hawthorne and Leo Keane walked behind.

Originally, everything was peaceful, but soon Leo Keane felt a rather intense gaze examining him from the side.

Instinctively turning his head, he saw it was Jonas Hawthorne staring at him.

"What?" He asked, confused. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Jonas Hawthorne didn’t answer, just gave Cecilia Sullivan a glance.

Leo Keane froze for half a second, then realized Jonas Hawthorne wanted him to draw Cecilia Sullivan away.

"..." Suddenly, he felt he might be too perceptive?

Over the years, he could figure out what Jonas Hawthorne wanted with just a look!

Rolling his eyes with resignation, Leo Keane accepted his fate and walked forward with a grin to greet Cecilia Sullivan.

"Ms. Sullivan, could I have a word?"

"Hmm?" Cecilia Sullivan turned and saw it was Leo Keane, feeling somewhat surprised but nodded.

The two of them stepped aside.

Meanwhile, Raine Sinclair glanced over, only to have her view filled by another figure.

"Are you here to see William Joe too?"

Jonas Hawthorne didn’t meet her gaze; he casually walked forward while talking to her.

Raine Sinclair frowned slightly, "You too?"

"Why are you looking for him?" Jonas Hawthorne responded with a question instead of an answer.

"Whatever you’re looking for him for, I’m looking for him for the same thing," Raine Sinclair replied ambiguously.

Why should she tell him what she intended?

Upon hearing this, Jonas Hawthorne finally glanced over at her.

In the sunlight, her skin was clear, her demeanor calm, like a fairy fallen to earth.

Thinking of her demeanor with Leon Grant that night, his brows furrowed slowly.

"With the wedding approaching, shouldn’t you be busy preparing? Why are you wandering around?"

He asked again.

Little did he know, beneath his words lay thick jealousy.

Raine Sinclair’s long eyelashes fluttered twice, then she retorted, "Shouldn’t Mr. Hawthorne be preparing for a wedding too? What are you doing here? Are you just now remembering you need to buy a diamond ring? Wrong place—head to a jewelry store instead."

Suddenly recalling what Cecilia had mentioned.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have suspected Jonas Hawthorne came to find William for the same reason she did—could they both be here to discuss a collaboration?

However, hearing her words, Jonas Hawthorne suddenly smiled slightly.

"You’re jealous."

"?!" Raine Sinclair’s eyebrows furrowed sharply, stopping in her tracks instantly!

She glared furiously at the man beside her and sneered coldly, "Mr. Hawthorne, you’re way too narcissistic! Jealous of what? We’ve long been done!"

Jonas Hawthorne’s smile stiffened suddenly.

His eyes gradually covered with frost.

"Eager to sever ties with me so you can guiltlessly marry into the Grant Family?"

Raine Sinclair replied without thinking, "Exactly, since it wasn’t a glorious past, it needs to be thoroughly erased!"

She spoke with determination, without the slightest hesitation.

Jonas Hawthorne continued to stare coldly at her, lips pursed.

Behind them, Leo Keane and Cecilia Sullivan stopped instinctively.

Both curious about what was happening in front.

Cecilia Sullivan was the first to ask, "Are they arguing again?"

"Hard to say..." Leo Keane answered doubtfully.

He then looked even more surprised at the woman beside him.

"I thought you’d stop me from giving them a chance to talk..." He couldn’t help but comment.

Earlier, when he asked Cecilia Sullivan to step aside, he noticed her looking meaningfully at Jonas Hawthorne, clearly understanding everything.

If Lily Sinclair were here, she’d have rushed to protect Raine Sinclair and yelled at Jonas Hawthorne for being a scumbag.

Why was Cecilia Sullivan so calm?

Listening to Leo Keane’s doubts, Cecilia Sullivan answered without turning her head, "You think it’s that easy to win Raine back? I’m not stopping them; just want to see Jonas Hawthorne regret it! Hmph!"

The logic is simple.

If Jonas Hawthorne can’t approach Raine Sinclair, then how can he face rejection and regret?

Over the years spent abroad, Cecilia Sullivan grew to relish such thrilling scenes!

Leo Keane, "..."

Okay, apparently he was too naive!

He thought Cecilia Sullivan was rooting for them, but it turns out she’s just watching for entertainment...

While Leo Keane was speechless, Cecilia Sullivan asked, "So, what are you guys here for with William?"

Meeting like this made Cecilia Sullivan believe Raine Sinclair and Jonas Hawthorne still had unfinished business.

"We..." Leo Keane opened his mouth to answer but swallowed his words and queried back, "Why are you here?"

"..."

Cecilia Sullivan gritted her teeth, glancing back at Leo Keane fiercely.

This glare was so intense that Leo Keane hurriedly replied, "I don’t know either, it seems like we’re here to discuss a collaboration... Jonas Hawthorne thinks fast, so I have no idea what he’s planning."

He genuinely didn’t know; and even if Cecilia Sullivan pressured him, he couldn’t explain it either.

Hearing his words, Cecilia Sullivan suddenly felt like she’d met a kindred spirit!

"What a coincidence? Even I don’t know what Raine’s scheming, she just dragged me along..."

Leo Keane immediately felt a camaraderie with her, "Right! We’re the supporting cast! Those two are the leads!"

Cecilia Sullivan nodded and asked, "Why are we tagging along?"

"To ease their awkwardness?" Leo Keane had a sense of self-awareness.

Cecilia Sullivan looked at the two people ahead, frowning, "Why do I feel like they’re not awkward, but on the brink of battle, about to explode?"

"Really?" Leo Keane also curiously looked over—
