Chapter 41: Beetle's Chitin Dagger destroyed

[ Hp: 34/100]

"Cough, cough" Another notification popped up, as Ben coughed up blood from his mouth, his eyes were glowing crimson in anger.

[HP is in danger zone]

[Hp: 34/100]

Ben looked at the status screen slightly, before he fixed his gaze to his foe again. Who was walking towards him with heavy steps? Ben, on the other hand, could only use the time he was lying, to restore his stamina.

"I am so much depleted on stamina, that I could barely hold my senses." Ben let his body loose, trying to rest as much as possible.

One thing that he found out good about Vampire's body, was the fact that he won't lose HP from constant blood loss. Unless the wound is too big to close instantly.

"My only option right now is to use Blood Bullet skill at maximum capacity. I will wait to lure in my enemy, and use all my strength to cast a single spell, targeting his head." Ben constantly and slowly kept moving his fingers in his right hand, so that his hand won't freeze from depleting stamina.

He was looking at his enemy, like an injured lion, looking at his prey. Ready to give all he got.

-Blood Bullet: Maximum capacity-

Ben chanted, his resolve strong to end his foe's life in a second. He was just about to shoot his blood bullet when the guard, dressed in leather armour stopped in his way and started searching for something in his utility belt.

"What's your purpose in this village?" He asked, his voice numb and cold.

Ben was taken aback by that sudden change in attitude, it was hard for him to trust the guard, but attacking the guard can cause more trouble for him. If there is still a chance for some negotiation, he would bet on it.

"We were traveling in the enchanted forest when we lost our way and got separated from our group." Ben made up a lie, as far as his knowledge exceeds this world.

"While finding our way back home, we were attacked by a bunch of goblins, and the girl over there got poisoned by the goblin claw." Ben continued, pointing towards the silver hair girl.

"Is that so?" The guard weirdly looked at him, scanning up and down before he asked again "Then how would you explain the royal emblem of Magadh Empire on your dress?"

Ben was taken aback. This was certainly the possibility that he didn't think of. And now that he was thinking about it, it can also be the reason for the unfriendly behavior of the guard with him.

"The expression on your face says a different story, tell me where did you get that hood from?" The guar interrupted Ben's thoughts with a bold voice.

"I picked it up on the way from copse's in the forest." Ben, his stamina recovered a bit, slowly stood up stumbling on his legs. "Trust me, I have nothing to do with imperial mages."

"Ya, I can guess that much. An imperial mage would have killed me in a bare second of the fight." the guard continued to stare at Ben with an expressionless face.

"Sigh...Alright fine, I am sorry about that. I just saw a person in Imperial Emblem running towards the village and I got on my edge." The guard nodded his head, thinking back to what happened.

"So we can see my friend now?" Ben asked, cutting the guard conv. in between. While the other just stared him back.

"You said, she is poisoned by goblin claw? That shouldn't be much of a deal, I will look for that but mind that I still don't trust you." The guard changed his direction and started to walk towards the silver-haired girl, while Ben just stayed in the same position, deciding not to follow behind.

[ Hunger Stat: Mild ]

A notification popped up on Ben's screen. Diverting his gaze for a while, he scrolled through the notification bar to check the notification about his soul weapon earlier.

[ Soul Essence: Beetle's Chitin Dagger is broken ]

"System, isn't there any way to repair a broken soul weapon? You did say you could repair the damaged soul weapon didn't you?" Ben asked the voice in his head.

[ Sorry to disappoint you, Ben. But only the soul weapons that were damaged or dulled can be restored to their original form. ]

[ If a soul weapon is pushed beyond its durability, then the weapon will use all its energy to explode and cause mass damage to the enemy ]

"I see, that will increase the difficulty a little bit, especially when I don't have any close-range weapons to fight with." Ben nodded his head in disappointment before he shifted his gaze back to the guard next to the silver-haired girl.

...

...

"What kind of absurd killing intent was that?" The guard gritted his teeth while holding his right hand tightly. While sitting next to the silver-haired girly, he took out a vessel of green liquid from his utility belt and poured half of the liquid into his hand.

"Even tho he is not strong enough to be called an Imperial Mage, I doubt if I could come out of that fight alive if the matters exceeded any further." He thought in pain, cursing Ben from inside.

Even in his time in training grounds, he met countless unique types of ability users but summoning a weapon out of thin air is something he never saw in his life.

After healing the wounds on his hands, that he got from the self-destruction of soul weapon. The guard looked at Ben from the corner of his eyes before he poured the other half of the green potion on the silver-haired girl, specifically on the wound on her leg. 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦𝑤𝘦𝑏𝓃ℴ𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝑚

In a matter of seconds, the wound started to heal from her body as if there wasn't even one to begin with, while a notification appeared again on Ben's screen.
