Chapter 1372 Zurinus fre(e)novelkiss.com

Ning stared at the torn-up bits of the giant octopus monster that he had eviscerated the moment he had flown in from the Sunside of Candar.

The bits of the monster were slowly turning into mist, fading away with the wind.

Ning looked away from the monster and down at the ship and the disastrous encounter it seemed to have just been through.

"System, what is the situation here?" Ning asked the system.

<The ship below, 'The Golden Scales', is a treasure-hunting vessel and they are trying to find any treasures they can find.>

<They were attacked by the monster you just killed, which has left them in deep trouble.>

<7 of the 43 people on the ship are dead, 18 are injured, and the rest are either unconscious or in a state of shock>

<1 of them is drowning.>

"Whoops! Let's go save him."

Ning flew down into the ocean, splashing deep into the ocean, and went downward.

He saw something red and gold, a sort of curved blowing horn that seemingly glowed with a faint light.

Ning was interested in what that was and reached for it before sinking deeper to find the man who had been sinking.

The man held a dull orange sword in his hand and something golden stuck out from his chest as well.

<His left arm is broken, and so are 8 of his ribs. He is also suffering from a deep concussion as well as trauma to the shoulders.>

<Also, he is missing many of his childhood memories.>

"Memories?" Ning frowned. "Is it a recent injury?"

<He lost it less than a minute ago.>

"Alright then, I guess that is getting healed too." Ning used his healing skill that immediately fixed all of the physical problems, and had to rely on the system to return the memories back to the man.

He quickly took the man onto the deck of the somewhat destroyed, but still functional ship and placed him there before a young man holding an umbrella.

Ning ignored the kid just then and went on to heal those he could save. Once he was done healing, he went to the bow of the ship and placed a bright lantern that was nearly 3 times as bright as the first one that had been destroyed.

He wanted to make something even better, but it appeared to him that he should keep to the technology that was available in this world, so he asked the system to make something that would match this world. People started getting up one by one, looking around in surprise and confusion. Some screamed at the sight of the dead, and some vomited too. But many here had gotten used to seeing death after being on the ship for years now.

The young man ran to the side of the ship and vomited heaps from the side as this was his first time seeing such gruesome death.

The captain and his second-in-command slowly gained consciousness. They looked around at the situation and started asking questions.

"He saved you," one of the men who had been unharmed and had seen it all said.

"He must have many Zurin treasures," another one said, and more continued.

Hearing the words of the people around the ship, the captain pieced together the information.

Tim, to the side, was just glad that his secret hadn't been found out thankfully.

"A Zurin treasure to Fly, another to open holes in the air, another to kill the beast, and finally one last to heal people," the Captain slowly counted it all. "May I ask who you are?"

"Me? I am Ning," Ning introduced himself. "Who might you guys be?"

"I am Dorian Granjoy, the best captain this side of the great reef, and this is my vessel, the Golden Scales," the man said.

"Nice name," Ning said. "The ship I mean."

"Thank… you?" the Captain said. "May I ask who you are exactly though? I have never heard of anyone with your name that holds 4 such powerful Zurin Treasures."

"Just someone lucky, I suppose," Ning said. On the inside, he started asking questions to clear in confusion. "System, what is a Zurin Treasure?"

<In this world of Zhorlia, their energy manifests in material form as a replica of an item that exists in the world. Except, each of these replicas is capable of doing something unique and magical.>

<Such magical treasures are called Zurin's treasure.>

"Okay," Ning said. "And what do they have to do with the Constellation Zurinus?" <Nothing. Zurinus has enough influence in this world that he has fooled the people into believing that he is their one true god and that it is because of him that the treasures have come to exist.>

<As such, these people have come to call these magical objects Zurin's treasure, and even pray to Zurinus as their one true god.>

"He does it from the shadow, I assume?" Ning asked.

<He hasn't shown himself to the real world in a long time. He only comes out once a few dozen years to remind them that he is in fact real.>

"Got it," Ning said.

"If you do not wish to tell us anything, then I won't ask any questions," the captain said.

Ning turned to look at him. "You said you hunt Zurin's treasure, correct?" he asked.

"We do indeed," the captain said excitedly. "That is our one true goal."

Ning thought for a moment and pulled out the golden-red blowing horn he pulled out from the water.

"Were you looking for this then?" he asked.

The captain's eyes went wide open. "A Zurin's treasure!" he said softly. His face gleamed with wanting it, but he hesitated. "No, you got it in the end, so you should keep it."

"Hmm, okay," Ning said and moved it toward the kid who had come up close to see the treasure. freewebn ovel.com

"What's your name?" Ning asked him.

"Me? I-I'm Timothy," he quickly said. "You can call me Tim."

"Well then, Tim," Ning said as he motioned the kid toward the treasure. "Do you want it?"
