Zenith was with the maid while Darius and Kaly were waiting for Nyme, Ava, Thali, and Eryn. They weren’t late, only Darius and Kaly were more hurried.

The adventurers had already arrived and were waiting on chairs in the garden.

Kaly approached them.

"Will you be teachers to three people? I want them to learn magic, archery, and a bit of swordsmanship, not too much, just enough to defend themselves. I’ll pay, of course."

They looked at each other and said together: "We accept."

"I’ll pick a day and let you know, I want the three you’ll be escorting to learn, it would be very good for them to get stronger."

The three arrived and Kaly asked them to carry the 100 boxes to a cart. When they had finished, they climbed in and Eryn took the wheel, leading the horse.

Kaly and Darius stayed.

Kaly asked him to use his magic and once again the plowed land was filled with various sage root plants.

"I think we should diversify, one day we’ll reach a limit where producing more healing potions won’t increase our profit, plus there’s a limit the Guild is willing to spend."

"You’re right, something on your mind?"

"Energy potions, aphrodisiacs, and mana potions. Do these exist?"

"Yes, but they’re rare and, apart from energy potions, they’re very expensive."

"We’ll produce them."

"The energy potions are simpler, we just need a plant, the moon whisperer. It’s a yellow flower. For the aphrodisiac potion, we need fairy tears and star petals, these are rare. For the mana potion, we need three plants: the crystal flower, dream leaves, and dragon shadow sap. The sap needs to be extracted from a tree. We can work something out."

"How do we do it?"

"We’ll make several trees, extract the sap, and then burn the tree, so no one will know where we got it from or be able to attack us for it."

"That makes sense, but isn’t it easier to have it somewhere and use magic to protect or hide it?"

"It makes more sense, that’s how we’ll do it. Follow me."

They went to the back of the property, after a wall they came to a part where there were only trees. Kaly used her sword and cut it down, then she used fire magic and burned the trunk and roots. She did this over a rather large area. Then she used her magic and made at least thirty trees appear, they had red leaves and sprouted some purple flowers and on one there was a black fruit.

"Is this fruit edible?"

"No, it’s poisonous, the only thing edible is the sap, this tree is very strange."

Kaly used concealment magic, so that when someone saw it from a distance, they would only see ordinary trees, then she used another magic that allowed only the two of them to see these trees up close. Then she cast another spell to prevent the surrounding trees from dying because of these trees.

She took some metal from her bag and placed it on the trees, underneath she attached a collector.

"The sap will be collected, then we’ll have enough sap for many potions. We can charge more for those."

"We can put a limit on some potions per week, this causes shortages, so we can have some control over the sale and increase the quantity when we need more money."

"That makes sense, which ones would we do that with?"

"The energy potion, because it’s simple, might be the cheapest, but the aphrodisiac potion we could only sell 100 of if any nobleman wants it, we can raise the price. Then we’ll put it up for sale exclusively to adventurers, just like the mana. Can we do that?"

"I don’t know, the adventurers would buy them all and resell them more expensively, leaving it free and without much information about the quantity might be better."
