I was just as excited, and drew out my sword, taking my stance.

Heh, he was pretty good. Behind, Mert casted his negative effect enabler spell—former lower target's resistance to debuffs, while the later applied «Slow» debuff. It was a pretty neat combo to easily apply debuffs. I used «Recovery» to clear them.

I did have my «Abnormal Ailment Resistance LV3», and spent some points to upgrade resistance too, but the chances would always be there to get inflicted.

Then, while I had used a spell to remove debuff, Reglam lunged at me.

He used a skill emphasising swift strike. I had already been expecting him to make a move while I was caught up in removing the debuff. I jumped backward, using the «Recovery» meanwhile, opening the distance between us.

It allowed me enough leeway to unleash my two-hit skill. The first hit parried «Lightning Flash», and the second hit struck him square.

And under my guidance, his growth direction had been precisely extended in that direction, by investing in VIT and RES, where he could bring the best out of two passive skills.
