Reincarnated Jester: Taming Players-Chapter 92: Leash to Tame Players
Chapter 92: Leash to Tame Players
"That’s enough. Stop before you wreck my academy!"
It was Lilia’s voice.
Her words reverberated throughout the arena, stunning spectators and fighters alike.
"Jung, explain!" she demanded, ending the battle altogether.
Sighing, he lowered his hands and said, "What explanation do you need? Can’t you see?"
"I want reasons. Why would you fight here and wreck everything while people are watching?"
Lilia asked in anger.
She couldn’t fathom how recklessly he acted.
Yet the most confusing factor was the strength he displayed.
No one knew better than her how sturdy the defensive walls were, but for Jung to destroy one of them while he simply fought was nothing short of astonishing.
"We made a bet," he answered shortly and glanced at her opponent.
Nero did the same, and even with the accumulated wounds, she looked in perfect shape.
The principal watched the cat as well.
She had noted her capabilities before when Snowshade mentioned her absurd power, and even when she had met Nero herself.
But in a week, her aura was completely transformed. She couldn’t exactly tell what her progress was, but she was sure it was more than a tier.
With increased interest, Lilia’s eyes darted around.
"And it’s not like I care about the attention," Jung said, coming out of the arena. "If anything, I love it, you know that."
As he left the almost demolished scene, Nero hopped on his shoulder as if nothing had happened.
"What a bummer. I lost the chance to get my private slave," she said wistfully.
"Show me your status," Jung demanded out of nowhere. "Don’t you trust me?"
"Stop with your fake concerns. I just like being mysterious," Nero said, scratching his neck.
Staring at the cat, Jung diverted his attention back to the woman.
"So? What are you doing here? Don’t tell me you came all the way just to ruin my fun time."
This time, Lilia frowned at him. "I believe I told you to visit me as soon as you wake up," she said sternly.
"I don’t remember hearing that," Jung said, smirking. "What business do you have with me?"
"Don’t act nonchalant with me!" she said and continued, "It’s about the deal we made."
Hearing her words, his eyes shone with greed.
"Sure..." he said, but the system cut off his words.
[Don’t go with her just yet. Check the item I promised you would get after aiding Nero.]
Not wasting anyone’s time, he took her advice into account and peeked at his inventory.
He was quick to spot the new item and read its description quickly so he wouldn’t make Lilia wait for long.
[Pill Curser]
-Item that can inflict curses on the pill. It can temporarily increase archetype progression, meaning it decays over time, and you can control the duration.
It was a godly treasure. Something that shook Jung to the core, and he was so excited that he yelled in front of the principal.
"You!" he said to Vex, having a hard time choosing the right words.
"This is more than perfect for me to tame players to my heart’s content."
After Jung forced Poker Bros guild members to submit, this was the reward he got, but he had to cleanse Nero of the curse to get the item itself.
It was like a dream come true, and he wanted to run away and test it immediately.
But a question arose in his mind.
"Why shouldn’t I go with the principal? She will give me pills, and that’s exactly what I need in abundance."
The system answered right away, fully expecting his confusion.
[You need to hurry and meet HugeP. Believe me, it’s important.]
"And you won’t tell me what for, right?" Jung guessed, but he didn’t even take a second to agree.
"Sorry, but something came up," he said to Lilia, baffling her even further.
From her point of view, it seemed like he was going to agree and was willing to follow her, but suddenly he went quiet, and ten seconds later, he changed his mind.
"What do you mean, something came up? What are you plotting?"
She asked, catching Jung’s shoulder and not letting him take another step.
As a Tier XI monster, no one could do anything in her presence.
Not even he could move out of the way, and he was simply trapped.
Realizing that he had to hurry but not wanting to offend Lilia more than necessary, he opened his mouth.
"I have to meet immortals. It’s important, and I have to do it right now. You know me. I wouldn’t say no to riches if I had no good reason." fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
His explanation lowered her eyes, but her hand still clutched his shoulders.
"I am coming with you," she said as a matter of fact.
[No, she can’t. Do everything in your power to make her stay here.]
The system announced swiftly, her voice growing serious with each passing second.
As for Jung, his heart skipped not one but ten beats. He was so thrilled that his body literally couldn’t help shaking.
Something huge was brewing around the world, and Vex’s reaction proved that.
So, without holding himself back, he smiled.
"You? With me? I would rather take Snowshade. You coming with me is the same as lighting the candle with a house fire. Effective and hot, sure, but it wouldn’t make me awesome anymore."
It was yet another addition to his bullshitting.
But the hand that glued him to the ground was lowered.
He glanced at her with anticipation, but saw no expression on her face.
It was a nonchalance that even he was jealous of.
Then he left the training grounds as he ignored all the comments behind him.
Lilia didn’t stop him either, and he was free to leave the academy.
Arriving at the biggest hall, he encountered Snowshade, who was already waiting for him.
Saying nothing, she materialized the door, leading Jung through the abyss.
As for him, he was pumped up to meet HugeP and test how this cursed item worked.
