Reincarnated With The Degenerate System-Chapter 225: Greed
Our eyes locked, and I could practically hear her throat go "gulp."
I slapped my hand on her head like I was giving a nervous puppy a pat.
"Sorry about that. Let’s hit the reset button. What’s your name?"
She took a second to answer " Hazel."
My eyebrow twitched. That was not a name expected from an assassin.
"Hazel." I repeated it. Tension between us slipped away, and the thought of going easy on her crossed my mind.
click!
The last of her suit fell away, and the air hit her skin, making her shiver.
"What are you--"
I didn’t give her a chance to react. I yanked her suit in one motion, exposing her body.
"What? Did you really think I would stop for talk? Sorry to break your bubbles, but I’m not that type of guy. I’ll hear your story after I make you mine."
I lowered my head and breathed her in, right against her black panty. Her whole body went rigid. A shaky gasp was the only sound she made.
Then I tasted her. The fabric of her underwear was wet and tempting.
Unable to control my urge any longer, my tongue brushed the cloth aside, and I tore the fabric away.
"No..." she grabbed my hair and closed her legs. What an adorable, and worthless attempt.
My tongue kept moving, vibrating inside her. It made her arch. No woman could resist such combination.
Soon, I felt her try to pull back, to retreat into herself, but my hands held her hips.
"Please!" A sound escaped her, half moan, half sob.
I kept going until she began shaking her hips from the sensation.
She was fighting it; I could feel it. But her body was losing the battle.
I slid a finger inside her. She was so wet, so hot, and she clenched around me instantly. Her back arched just a little, a purely involuntary reaction.
Next, I moved my finger, slow and deep, in time with my tongue. Her head fell back against the pillows, a long, drawn-out moan tearing from her throat. It was a sound of defeat.
I added another finger, stretching her, filling her. I curled them just right, and her whole body bowed off the bed.
"Ah!" she cried out. Her hands weren’t fists anymore. One was tangled in the sheets, the other flew to her own mouth, attempting to stop the sound she was about to make.
Then, I felt it. A sudden, intense heat radiating from her skin. She was planning to user ability.
"I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Why do you think I dared to treat my assassin this way? Because you were never a threat to me."
Hazel’s eyes flashed for a moment, then she looked away and covered her face.
Her body relaxed little by little. Breathing changed. Legs stopped resisting.
I began being gentler with her, making sure she enjoyed it better, because deep down, I’m not a bad person.
Soon, she surrendered to me, no longer hiding her moans, and even began biting her lips.
My control over her began to strengthen. I leaned in and kissed her.
She responded, and we ended up holding each other. Her fingers dug into my back as we finally became one.
"That’s right, Hazel. You made the right choice picking me." I touched her chin, and we continued our intimate session.
An hour later.
I sat on the edge of the bed while she leaned against my shoulder. My oversized white shirt hung on her small body, swallowing her.
Before asking anything, I touched her forehead and checked her brain.
As expected, the mark was there. Same design. Same trigger. If she spoke too much, her head would have burst.
Although I failed to destroy it before, my control over my Qi was much stronger now. The only concern was the side effects. It might leave scars in her mind or take pieces of her memory with it.
Now, I regretted killing the others. Forget it. Either way, I had to free her if I wanted to keep her in my harem.
I would just let our earlier... fun... be motivation. They say a man can do anything after a good fuck, and right now, I’m going to prove it.
Qi flowed through me and pushed against the mark. Resistance hit back at once.
The trigger was my priority. It fought harder than expected, twisting and pulling at her mind, but I held on and tore it out piece by piece. The danger faded the moment it broke. That alone was a victory.
With the threat gone, I pressed forward. The rest of the mark vanished.
She lost consciousness, and I gently laid her across my lap. I let my Qi flow into her, slow and steady, pushing vitality back into her body and ensuring a quick recovery.
Once her breathing evened out, I lifted her carefully and set her back on the bed. She needed rest first.
With time to spare, I returned to the main bedroom and looked at the dead bodies on the floor. Using my shadow, I collected their gear first. The technology caught my interest, so I kept it.
After that, I used wind to dispose of the remains and sealed everything inside a garbage bag. Once it was done, I called the janitor and had the rug cleaned. The stains were starting to bother me.
Roughly two hours later, Hazel woke up.
She clutched her head and squinted, but after a moment, her body eased, and she began to relax.
"Coffee or tea?" I asked.
"Tea," she murmured.
She was more relaxed around me now, especially since I had told her, to speak freely and just be herself. Individuality was very important for me.
I smiled and prepared it slowly, then handed it to her. "How do you feel?"
"I feel much better. It’s like a fog lifted from my mind."
Her words made me pause.
"Fog?" I asked, leaning closer. "What do you mean by that?"
She explained that she had always felt watched, as if eyes followed her no matter where she went. That feeling was not unique to her.
Every core member of the Darkness experienced it after undergoing initiation.
It all started when they were allowed to meet the so‑called Messiah of Darkness, their leader.
She could not recall a face or even tell if their leader was a man or a woman. Each time she tried to remember, the image broke apart, leaving only a vague shadow.
"Let’s assume he’s a man. Do you remember anything about him at all? Even rumors?"
She shook her head.
"It’s fine," I said. "Just tell me what you remember."
Her eyes widened as she turned toward me. "You’re in danger."
"Now that we failed, the Darkness will send more people after you. I heard they want to get rid of you for good. That’s why they sent us into the city, just to finish you off."
"So, your team of five is actually... good?" The words slipped out bluntly. She looked slightly offended.
"Listen," she said, straightening. "We might not be as strong as the five-star members, but all of us are two stars. We can even take down an S-rank. You’re just... too strong."
"They sent you here thinking I’m an S-rank?"
She shook her head. "We came here just in case you had a powerful bodyguard. We were really surprised when we saw you didn’t have anyone with you."
"You didn’t even think that maybe it’s because I don’t need any?" I asked, a hint of amusement in my voice.
"No." She avoided my gaze, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and biting her lower lip.
I changed the topic and asked more questions.
Her answer did not paint a good picture. Because she failed to kill me, the next wave would be a group of S-rank assassins.
Not just that. They would carry advanced technology exclusive to their organization, which made them far more dangerous. This was standard protocol.
I was sure I could take on whoever they sent. The real problem wasn’t me—it was the destruction that would follow. The building could be leveled before the fight even ended, and the collateral damage would be catastrophic.
On top of that, all the hype I’d built for my guild would collapse—a risk I couldn’t afford right now.
"Where’s your current base?" I asked.
"We don’t have one. Our facilities within the city were destroyed."
I knew. I was the one who destroyed them.
"So does that mean their presence is almost nonexistent in the city now?" I asked.
"Not entirely. We’re still connected to a lot of powerful people and organizations. And even though we retreated, it’s not because we’ve given up on this place. The main branch is handling an important expedition."
"Once that’s done, they’ll surely come for revenge. It’s very likely there will be an all-out war here between the Darkness and the Order."
My ears perked up. "Why the Order?"
I was sure I had hidden Master Cheng’s connection. Master Tang and the others would not speak about it either. They knew the consequences too well.
"The Order has been the biggest threat to the Darkness for a long time. The balance stayed intact because neither side wanted an all‑out war. But after our bases were destroyed again and again, that balance was tilted."
Damn it. I knew this would happen, but not this soon.
This was all my doing. I got greedy, farming Darkness members for points just to save up for more powerful cards.
