Chapter 939: Not My Problem

Looking at the contract, not to mention Xu Feng, even Carmen was dumbfounded by the clauses.

‘Fuck, there are really people like her out in this world.’ Carmen exclaimed inwardly. She was baffled and stunned completely.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng was puzzled and wondered if Evelyn was on some kind of drug.

What he said was merely a taunt and a tease to Evelyn. He never once expected her to actually agree to such an imbalanced exchange of information.

After all, the information Evelyn must offer was at least 10 times more valuable than his alias’ location. He was Cool Wind and Cool Wind was him.

Wherever he was, that was where Cool Wind was.

“Why are you hesitating now?” Evelyn suddenly asked in a cold tone. She had no positive view of him whatsoever.

She was only interested in Cool Wind and not Lin Feng.

In her opinion, Lin Feng was just a scum through and through. Not only was he extremely shrewd, but he was also extremely greedy and petty.

The detail and information regarding Lin Feng was so stacked that she was truly annoyed by him.

Had it not been for the fact that the whereabouts of Cool Wind were impossible to track, then she wouldn’t have even bothered to come here and ask him.

Xu Feng flashed a bittersweet smile and wondered how he managed to incur such a mess.

“I don’t know his current location, but I do know his contact information.” Xu Feng explained. With the contract, he couldn’t possibly lie and say he was elsewhere.

The System wouldn’t allow such a loophole. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

Sure enough, Evelyn frowned deeply and wondered if Xu Feng was messing with her. She was already sincere enough—to the point of selling out classified information. Yet the other party was now claiming they didn’t know the location?

She hissed coldly, “Are you sure you want to mess with me? I might not be able to do much to your base in Star Falls City, but I can certainly make things difficult for your progress.”

When she mentioned progress, she was naturally referring to the town’s opening.

They might have operated in different planes, but that didn’t mean information was restricted. Moreover, the town’s location that Xu Feng was placed at was extremely dangerous for average players to travel. It was literally a golden opportunity for Bounty Tag Players to camp and rob others.

“I’m really not messing with you.” Xu Feng spread his arms wide. “Do you think I’m the type to locate every member of my guild? Not to mention, Cool Wind is an Honorary Elder, and is not under my control.”

Evelyn flinched for a moment. She began to recall another old piece of information—a figure known as Eclipse Nova.

‘Right, there was a big boss behind the Vanguard Guild Leader.’ She knitted her brows and seemed to have understood it was a bit far-fetched for her to ask him to spit out the location.

An Honorary Elder’s position was very special. One could say they were part of the guild or also not part of the guild. It was a position that many yearned to achieve because you can gain a lot of resources while remaining free and unrestricted in a lot of things.

“Very well, but you must ensure that Cool Wind accepts my friend request and messages me,” Evelyn demanded. All she wanted was a chance to establish contact with Cool Wind. Although she knew her desire was somewhat out of the ordinary and might even cause others to look at her weirdly, she didn’t care.

Why should she care about others’ opinions?

This was her life, and anyone who dared to judge her was ridiculous in her eyes. Who were they to judge her and believe they were flawless?

With how resolute and determined Evelyn was, Xu Feng ultimately decided to agree to her demand.

It wasn’t bad to use her as a spy to gain information regarding Malefic Order Guild.

“Very well, I can help make sure it’s done, but that’s on the premises your information is valid and complete.” Xu Feng warned solemnly.

“Relax, I’m not a petty, shameless, and money grubber like you.” Evelyn rolled her eyes and snorted. She had no reason to respect him after reading all of his details.

Little did Evelyn know, the more she expressed such disdain toward Xu Feng, the more Carmen wanted to laugh aloud.

‘Haha, the Guild Leader is really an impressive man.’ Carmen was definitely going to engrave this scene into her memory.

Who could have imagined that such an incident actually happened?

Evelyn was both insulting and respecting Xu Feng at the same time.

As much as Carmen wanted to expose everything to see the type of reaction she might show, she still managed to suppress her desire. It could be said that each of the alias Xu Feng created had its intended purpose.

In the end, the two agreed to a new change and once the signature was placed, Xu Feng honored his deal.

“Alright, you can send a friend request to him. I’ll give him a heads up.” Xu Feng said.

Nodding, Evelyn did as told and proceeded to offer half of the information to Xu Feng. “You can get the remaining half once I confirmed Cool Wind accepted my friend request and messaged me. Also, it better not be some fake impostor because I’ll be questioning him about things that only we knew.”

“I like the suspicion, but you can relax. I have no interest in deceiving you.” Xu Feng snickered.

With that being said, Evelyn snorted and left. She clearly did not want to remain on the scene for any longer now that her objective had been completed.

“She’s really weird,” Carmen commented once she could no longer see the latter’s silhouette.

“Weird is an understatement.” Xu Feng chimed in. “But that’s not my problem to deal with.”

“Eh, what are you talking about?”

“It’s Cool Wind’s problem and not mine.”

“…”

At this moment, Carmen realized what he was trying to do. He was going to be mega shameless and treat Evelyn like dirt with his other alias.
