Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1482: Fang’s Advice
"Good girl," Fang noted silently, watching her move through the ranks. He was genuinely impressed. From the outside, Berry projected an image of kindness and almost fragile cuteness—a front that led many to underestimate her.
But after fighting alongside her through the height of the monster tide, Fang had realised she was one of the most efficient masters in William’s inner circle.
She wasn’t the type to scream for help or throw herself into a reckless display of bravado. In fact, she never placed herself in a disadvantageous position to begin with. She moved through the battlefield with strategic steps, always picking the path that offered the most impact with the least unnecessary risk.
Fang had initially expected her to ask him to lead the entire army or shoulder the heaviest burden of the frontline. Instead, she had assigned him a highly mobile team of elite masters, effectively designating him as a firefighter group with the help of William’s ten monsters.
He was the ultimate insurance policy, used only to quench the most dangerous situations on the frontline. As the tide shifted in their favour, even that role had dwindled, leaving the old master with more rest than he had anticipated.
But Fang was not a man built for idleness. Every few minutes, he would unleash his lightning formations, sending streaks of violet energy crashing into the densest pockets of monsters, aiding his subordinates wherever the pressure looked greatest. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
As Berry organised the formation experts, Fang dispatched messengers to the other four battlefields, relaying the command to prepare for immediate fortification of the final gates.
Once the orders were sent, he returned to the absolute front, taking charge of the chaotic vanguard and pushing the bloody battlefront toward the pulsing purple rift with every passing hour.
On Becky’s front, the situation was equally intense, though it was flavoured by a strange, domestic tension. Becky was a force of nature on the field, but even she found herself distracted by the unexpected presence of Sara’s mother.
No one knew exactly where the woman had gone during the initial stages of the invasion, but she had suddenly appeared at Sara’s side the moment the girl had taken command of this battlefield. The two ladies of the upper realm worked side-by-side in a display of lethal elegance.
Sara’s mother fought with a weird, desperate determination, as if trying to wash away a lifetime of sins with the blood of Scarlet Bears. She didn’t even hold back a single resource, pulling out weapons, rare potions, and high-grade materials from her personal rings that made even the guild’s veteran quartermasters gape in shock.
Sara had been startled and deeply confused by her mother’s sudden devotion. The history between them was a jagged landscape of resentment and abandonment. Ultimately, Sara chose to suppress her emotions, focusing entirely on the tactical requirements of the war and leaving the handling of her mother to Becky.
Becky, for her part, was fascinated. Seeing one of their former enemies from the upper realm working so tirelessly to support William’s interests was a testament to the guild master’s strange gravity.
She had heard the rumours from those close to Sara, specifically from Sara’s grandfather, whose hatred for his daughter-in-law remained a cold, smouldering fire.
"Fang is definitely the one behind the fortification idea," Becky remarked when the messenger arrived with the latest orders. She turned to Sara, her new flying spear humming with a low, expectant vibration in her hand. We’ve already had the teams prepping the arrays. We’re thinking exactly like the old man. How are we doing on your end?"
Even if they were fighting without a proper base, Becky was pragmatic enough to know that a siege of this magnitude required more than just morale and desperation; it required proper planning.
She asked Sara to oversee the immediate construction of a small, fortified settlement. She wanted a sanctuary where the masters could rotate out for rest, a centralised meeting point for the leadership, and, in the worst-case scenario, a final fallback point for a desperate defence.
"The walls are being erected as we speak," Sara said, motioning with her head toward a line of earth-element masters who were currently heaving massive slabs of stone into a huge perimeter. She then pointed toward a cluster of tents further back.
"And there, I’ve gathered all the masters with significant experience in arrays and formations. They are prepping the materials and basic foundations for the moment we finally reach that gate."
"Good," a calm, authoritative voice interrupted. Sara’s mother approached from the side, her robes surprisingly clean despite the carnage she had just wrought on the front lines.
"I’ll hasten the advance speed then. I wanted to give you enough time to stabilise the rear, so I’ve been holding back on many of my wider-area techniques. If the perimeter is set, I’ll stop being gentle."
"Ok," Becky replied, still feeling a lingering sense of dissonance. Dealing with a former high-tier enemy from the upper realm as a trusted ally was a psychological hurdle she hadn’t quite cleared.
"I’ll head back to help from the rear and ensure there are no more surprises. As for you," she turned to Sara, "supervise the building of the settlement and keep a close eye on the formation teams. We can’t afford a single miscalculation when we start controlling the monster gate."
The three women dispersed, each moving toward their respective tasks with determination.
While Becky and Sara coordinated their efforts, Anjie was having similar thoughts at her own battlefield. Even before she received the formal message from Fang, her strategic instincts had already sounded the alarm.
"I’ve already started organising the teams," Anjie said to her trusted masters, though her mind was miles away. She paused, a sudden spark of competitiveness lighting up her eyes. "Are the others already on their third gate? Are Fang and Becky close to taking control?"
Anjie had fully intended to be the first to reach William. Even though Fang and Becky were legendary figures bolstered by the presence of Berry and Sara, Anjie was fiercely confident in her own growth and the sheer might of the forces she commanded.
