Rejected by the Campus Belle, I Find My True Love-Chapter 317 - 315 I Will Strive to Give You the Life You Deserve
Based on Xue Yang’s specific features, Tony designed a comma-bang hairstyle for him. It was youthful, fashionable, and suitable for any occasion. Most importantly, the hairstyle suited Xue Yang perfectly, giving him a layered look with a hint of playfulness. He was already handsome, but this new cut made him look even more dashing.
Tony wondered if he had outdone himself, but then he figured the man had such a great canvas to work with that any style would have looked good.
"Miss Lin Xi, what kind of style would you like?"
Lin Xi said, "Just take care of Si Wen for today. We have other things to do. Maybe next time."
Tony smiled. "Alright. Take care, Miss Lin Xi. You too, Young Master Xue."
"Si Wen, we’re taking off," Lin Xi said.
Si Wen waved her hand dismissively. "Go on, get out of here. You’re just flaunting your PDA. It’s not even mealtime, and I’m already stuffed from watching you two. Any more and I’ll burst."
As Lin Xi and Xue Yang left the VIP room arm in arm, they immediately caught the eyes of every other customer in the salon.
One young woman who had just walked in saw Xue Yang, her eyes lighting up. She turned to her stylist and said, "Give my boyfriend the same hairstyle as that guy."
The hairstylist glanced at the young woman’s boyfriend, then back at the radiant and handsome Xue Yang. He gripped his comb tightly, as if debating whether to quit on the spot or wait for his inevitable execution.
Please, your boyfriend’s forehead is shinier than a mirror. How is he supposed to get a hairstyle with bangs?
The young woman was clearly aware of this, but she didn’t care. "I don’t care," she said in a shrill voice. "My boyfriend is getting that hairstyle. If you can’t do it, I’ll file a complaint against you."
Others noticed Lin Xi’s high ponytail and were instantly dazzled.
"That girl’s hairstyle is so pretty, too! I want the same one."
"Me too!"
Inspired by Lin Xi, even those who hadn’t planned on getting their hair styled were now determined to get the same look.
The stylist finally made up his mind. To hell with it. I’ll make sure they cry on their way out of this salon.
Sure enough, by the time Si Wen emerged with her hair done, the salon was filled with the sound of weeping. The "Tonys" were all busy trying to soothe their distraught customers.
"Ma’am, I did warn you that this style wouldn’t suit your face shape."
Their looks are on another level. How can you compare? Did you really think you could become a princess just by copying a hairstyle?
The man whose girlfriend had demanded Xue Yang’s hairstyle was the most miserable of all. He didn’t have bangs, so the stylist had attached a hairpiece to achieve the look. The result was predictably bizarre. His girlfriend immediately burst into tears.
It was proof that some people simply aren’t handsome, and no amount of change can alter the fact that certain styles just won’t suit them.
「...」
Xue Yang was oblivious to the drama unfolding back at the salon. He drove his Audi, with Lin Xi beside him, cruising smoothly down the road.
Unlike their last frantic search for a place to live, this time Xue Yang took Lin Xi directly to the sales center for a development called Tongfang Residential District. As soon as they walked in, a salesperson greeted them warmly and began their introduction.
"Hello! Are you two looking to buy or rent? Welcome to Tongfang Residential District. Our environment is excellent, featuring elegant and grand architecture. The fine details throughout create a refreshingly sophisticated and spacious feel.
"The interiors are bright and open, with north-south designs that ensure ample sunlight and wide fields of view. The community infrastructure is comprehensive, surrounded by numerous commercial districts for convenient shopping, medical care, and entertainment. Reliable property management is provided, with security guards on duty twenty-four hours a day.
"Furthermore, our location is superb. The transportation network is extensive, offering easy access in all directions. The area has a rich technological, cultural, and educational atmosphere, making it a community that integrates health, culture, and education..."
The salesperson delivered the entire introduction in one rapid-fire breath, hardly even pausing. One couldn’t help but admire their professional skill.
Xue Yang immediately latched onto a key phrase: twenty-four-hour security.
Their current building was a standard residential block with no security, making it far less safe by comparison. Although nothing major had happened yet, Xue Yang knew that as more people learned of Lin Xi’s identity, he had to guarantee her safety. Moving to a more secure community was essential.
The complex was quite close to University Town, only about a ten-minute drive away. It was precisely because of this proximity that Xue Yang couldn’t afford to buy a place here yet; he could only barely manage the rent.
Xue Yang smiled and said, "We’d like to rent a large apartment."
"Of course. Right this way, I’ll show you what we have." The salesperson led Xue Yang and Lin Xi to a reception room.
After half an hour of discussion, they settled on a three-bedroom, one-living-room apartment on the 12th floor. Keys in hand, the salesperson took them to see it.
After seeing the apartment, Xue Yang and Lin Xi decided to rent it. It featured an enormous master bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a view of North Yan when the curtains were open. The bathroom was also large enough to hold all of Lin Xi’s skincare products. Additionally, one of the other bedrooms could be converted into a dedicated walk-in closet for them. As for the last room, it could remain a guest room, a place to put Si Wen’s expensive computer. That way, she’d have a place to stay when she visited.
After they signed the contract, paid a year’s rent, and received the keys, Xue Yang and Lin Xi were finally alone in the huge apartment.
Xue Yang took Lin Xi’s hands, pressing them gently against the stubble on his chin. "Xiao Xi, I’m sorry. With what I have now, I still can’t give you a truly wealthy life. But don’t worry, I will work hard. I’ll work to give you the life you deserve."
A smile bloomed on Lin Xi’s face. "I don’t think you have anything to be sorry for. Whether we live here or at the old place, I’m happy. Xue Yang, you don’t need to be like this, really."
"Xiao Xi, you’re so wonderful. How could I ever bear to let you go?"
The stubble tickled her palms, and her eyes curved into crescents. "Since I’m so wonderful, you’ll have to treasure me even more, then."
"Of course."
Just then, Si Wen called. Lin Xi answered, and Si Wen immediately asked how the house hunting went.
"We rented a place in Tongfang Residential District, near North Yan," Lin Xi said. "It’s very spacious! We’re just discussing how we’re going to set it up."
