Rejected by the Campus Belle, I Find My True Love-Chapter 334 - 332 Everywhere Are Traps
Xue Yang brought Cui Hao all the way to the Fashion Department, the headquarters for their trendy clothing brand.
Wei Shuyu was in the middle of discussing new clothing designs with a group of female students from her department. With Jennifer’s recent guidance, many things that had previously stumped her had suddenly become clear. As a result, she was brimming with inspiration.
Seeing Xue Yang arrive, Wei Shuyu’s eyes lit up, and she immediately ran toward him from the crowd.
"President Xue, you’re here."
The other girls, seeing Wei Shuyu standing so close to Xue Yang, couldn’t help but feel envious.
"It’s so great being this close to Xue Yang."
"Yeah, if we had known, we would have competed for the manager position at the clothing line too."
Not only did it come with a salary and personal instruction from a famous designer, but most importantly, it offered close contact with a handsome guy—the perks were just too good.
"What do you think Xia Tian was thinking back then? Why would he leave the clothing line? He could have enjoyed everything Shuyu has now, maybe even more."
Around the corner, Xia Tian, who was just bringing over some materials, overheard his classmates’ discussion, and his expression immediately soured. His hand holding the materials tightened abruptly.
Do they not know why I left?
Xia Tian was about to explode with anger.
It’s my own fault for trusting others so easily. If I hadn’t quit back then, I wouldn’t be the subject of their mockery now. But it’s useless to say anything now.
Xia Tian stood at the corner resentfully for a moment before finally walking away.
"Shuyu, design an outfit for him to wear on a date. He has one on Saturday, so there’s still time. No rush, take your time designing it," Xue Yang said, pushing Cui Hao forward.
Only then did Wei Shuyu notice Cui Hao, who had come with Xue Yang. She stroked her chin and circled him several times.
"President Xue, are you saying... you want me to design an outfit for him?"
If you listened carefully, you could hear a hint of excitement in her voice.
"Mhm. Is there a problem? You can’t do it?"
"I can, I can! I promise I’ll get it done."
Lately, she had been learning design from Jennifer and had already asked every classmate she could to be her model. After a few days, none of them were willing to do it anymore. She was just fretting about this with her classmates when Xue Yang brought someone over.
He’s practically a savior.
"Then that’s settled."
Cui Hao wore a gloomy expression. "Xue Yang, don’t do this to me."
Xue Yang gave him a reassuring smile. "Trust Shuyu. I’m sure she can create a look you’ll be satisfied with."
Cui Hao looked at Xue Yang, then at Wei Shuyu. "For real?"
Why does it feel like Wei Shuyu doesn’t even believe in herself?
But since he was already here, Cui Hao figured he might as well give it a try. Besides, it doesn’t cost anything. Yes, the most important thing is that it’s free.
Cui Hao finally found a reason to convince himself.
After dropping Cui Hao off, Xue Yang left.
"Sisters, quick, come over! Boss Xue brought us a model!"
"Coming!"
Cui Hao’s eyes widened. He knew it was a trap.
I just hope this pitfall isn’t too deep.
Xue Yang had just returned to the studio when he received a call from Cui Hao.
"Xue Yang, come save me! I can’t take it anymore!"
Xue Yang raised his eyebrows slightly and asked knowingly, "What’s wrong?"
Before Cui Hao could reply, Wei Shuyu’s voice came through from the other end. "Cui Hao, come over here! You’ll definitely be satisfied with this design."
Then came Cui Hao’s wail. "These clothes you guys design aren’t meant for people to wear!"
"We’re just inexperienced, that’s all. It’ll be fine if we just try a few more times!"
"I refuse! I just heard all of you making fun of me. The other students were mocking me too!"
...
Xue Yang hung up before he could hear anything else. Just as he was about to put his phone down, Jennifer called.
"I’m calling specifically to thank you."
"No need to be so polite."
"You have no idea. The clothes they design look great on paper, but the final products look like something straight out of an anime. They’re completely unwearable in public. No one was willing to model for them anymore. You sending someone over was a real godsend."
Jennifer couldn’t believe it. She had only mentioned the issue to Xue Yang a couple of days ago, and he had already solved it.
"It was nothing. I believe in Shuyu’s designs. One day, they’ll be good enough to satisfy you."
"Oh, I’m satisfied with her. Her designs just aren’t quite suitable for everyday wear yet. Once she gets a better feel for it, she’ll be all set."
"It seems you’re very pleased with your apprentice."
"I am, very. By the way, Tony is coming back to the country soon. He said that as soon as he’s back, he’ll fly straight to Hui City. He has already requested all the necessary documents from headquarters."
"I’ve received his message. We’ve already discussed the details, so we’ll officially begin work once he arrives."
"That’s great! Then Tony can stay in the country long-term, and we’ll have more time to see each other."
Since returning from abroad, Jennifer had joined their trendy clothing venture. Having grown up overseas, she didn’t have a single friend when she returned to the country, and it was incredibly lonely.
After finishing the call with Jennifer, Xue Yang, as usual, made a WeChat call to Lin Xi, but this time, she didn’t pick up.
Lying on the bed holding his phone, Xue Yang dialed again, but she still didn’t answer.
That’s weird. What’s Xiao Xi doing?
He then sent that exact question to Lin Xi as a message. After sending it, he lay on the bed, staring blankly. He had gotten used to video calling Lin Xi every night. Now that she suddenly wasn’t picking up, he felt completely off.
Still, there was no reply from her.
Xue Yang decided to call Si Wen instead. The first call didn’t connect, but the second one did.
As soon as the call went through, Xue Yang asked directly, "Where is Xiao Xi?"
"You can’t find her, can you?"
"Yeah. What’s wrong with her?"
"She said she’s going into seclusion."
"I’m sure it’s not that simple."
Si Wen knew she couldn’t hide anything from Xue Yang. "Alright," she sighed. "It’s because she forgot to put her phone on silent during class today. It suddenly rang, and her homeroom teacher confiscated it."
"Someone did that on purpose, didn’t they?"
"Nothing gets past you."
"That’s right. A male classmate sent Lin Xi a confession text. The teacher found out and confiscated her phone. Lin Xi had to go to great lengths to convince the teacher to let her have her phone in the first place, and now someone’s ruined all that."
Si Wen was angry just talking about it. Lin Xi had told the boy numerous times that she wasn’t interested, but he kept pestering her relentlessly. In the end, he resorted to a stunt like this to get the teacher to take her phone away.
Does he really think he’d stand a chance if Lin Xi couldn’t contact Xue Yang?
