REJECTED ONCE, FROZEN FOREVER-Chapter 35: WEAPON

"Sir, the weapons are ready." One of the subordinates said.

""Perfect, start with the mission." The man instructed.

They bowed and left; the man turned to look at the new weapon they had created. Finally, after two years they were ready, now all that was left was to wipe out all the supernatural beings.

"It’s about time we wipe them out." Another man said.

"You’re damn right about that; they’ve been parading this world like they own it." The other said looking at their new weapon with a smile on their face.

"But what about those that have powers?" Someone asked.

"That’s why we studied each power the supernatural beings have when we decided to create this army." The leader said looking proud of this new army.

"It’s time to finish what our ancestors started." He added and had an evil grin on his face.

All the family members decided to have a pool party; the girls were in the pool playing volleyball.

"Let’s make it gents vs ladies." Rosemary suggested, calling out to the guys that were just sitting down.

"What’s the price if we win?" Logan asked on behalf of the men.

"We will do whatever you want for an entire week." Ariana replied.

"A week? That is too small." Tyler said.

"A month sounds reasonable." Dylan spoke out.

"A month! That’s too much." Olivia shouted out, thinking of how Josh was going to torture her.

"What are you thinking?" Josh asked her, and she turned to look at him in shock.

"Nothing!" She said turning her head away.

"Were you in my head?" He asked her, when he saw her reaction.

"Yeah! I was in your head. I saw how you planned to torture me." She replied.

"Torture? Darling why would I torture you?" He asked with a teasing smile.

"Tell me Olivia, are they planning on torturing us?" Avery asked pointing at them.

"Yes, that is why it is a bad idea to bet for a month." She replied scowling at them.

"Ariana, do you seriously believe that I would torture you?" Adrian asked wearing a sweet smile that made him look suspicious.

"That smiles tells a lot." Ariana replied looking at him weary.

"Are we going to play or not?" Derek asked.

"We need to settle the issue with the bet first." Samatha replied.

"What if you guys won? Shouldn’t we also fear at the torture you’re going to put us through?" Ivan asked.

"You are definitely going to make sure that I accompany you to shopping every day." Austin said pointing at Rosemary.

"And you are going to make me taste all the martinis you are going to create, and then you going to want to decorate our room with snowflakes everywhere." Ivan said pointing at Morgan.

"But babe, it’s not like the cold affect us." She tried to justify herself.

"Sam, I don’t want to sleep in the forest for a month." Derek said knowing that it was that she was going to do.

"Derek!" She called out sweetly.

"No!" He said not giving her a chance to make him go soft.

"What are you guys up to?" Travis, their father asked coming from behind with Audrey.

"We want to play game but can’t decide on the wager." Morgan said looking at them for help.

"What was the wager?" Audrey asked trying to see if she could help them.

"The loser has to do what the winner wants for a month." Dylan said.

"A month?" She asked raising a brow.

"A month is too much." Samatha said.

"A week is too short." Olivia said thinking if she won, what she could do to Josh.

"If a month is too long, a week too short, why not make it two weeks." She suggested.

"Yeah, two weeks sounds good." The girls agreed, the guys also agreed.

"What about you Dylan?" Travis asked.

"Uncle, I’m the judge." He replied.

"Everyone got their partners; I’m the only one single." He added.

Dylan had travelled the world the past two years in hope of finding his mate, but he couldn’t. He returned only to feel single at every moment.

Morgan and Ivan had son who was about to reach his maturity in a few days, Samatha and Derek had a daughter who looked 6 years, Samatha had given birth to her about seven months ago. The other couples were in no rush to have kids.

"Oh Dylan, you will also find your mate soon." His aunt Audrey tried to comfort him.

"Yes, your mate is not far from now." Amelia said seriously.

"What, what did you see?" He asked excited.

He just couldn’t wait to find his mate.

"Just be patient." Was all she said.

"Fine!" He said giving up and went to sit on the sunlounge with Travis and Audrey.

"The wager has been set; we can start now." Logan said entering the pool.

Dylan brought a net to separate them. The guys moved to one side and the girls moved to the opposite side.

"Ariana no cheating." Adrian said before they started, Ariana had water element; and she could manipulate the water and make them lose.

"Tell that to Derek and Logan." Avery defended.

"Yeah, Derek cannot stop the time during the game." Olivia said.

"Logan, you can’t move the ball in the direction you want." Amelia warned her mate.

"Fine! No one uses their powers during the game." Travis said.

"At this moment you will play like humans." Audrey added.

"Okay!" The girls nodded, the guys agreed as well.

"Okay let the game begin." Travis said blowing a whistle.

The game started and the guys had five points already, while the girls only had one point. The girls were at disadvantage given by the height the guys had.

"This is a losing battle." Ariana muttered under her breath, Rosemary and Avery agreed with her.

"Guys, no giving up." Samatha said clapping her hands.

It was the girls’ turn to serve the ball, and Amelia threw the ball in the air and jumped to hit it, but before she could make contact with the ball she fainted.
