"It must have been hard for her." Audrey said looking at the stairs.

"Yeah, she was shaking when we got back. She said she kept seeing the scene when her parents died." Logan said sighing.

"You should go and stay with her." Travis told Logan.

"I’ll go." Samatha spoke.

"No, let Logann be there." Audrey said politely.

"Mom, Dad..." They heard her voice upstairs.

"I should go back." He said pointing to the stairs.

On the bed, was Amelia whose eyes kept switching from silver to red. Logan rushed and scooped her body and held her. When he wrapped his arms around her, he felt her calming down.

"That was brave of her." Samatha said back in their room.

"It must have been hard to be back at the town where you lost your family." Derek said sitting on the bed.

"Do you think we might survive the war?" Samatha asked.

"That depends if all of us end up working together." He said hinting at all the supernatural being.

"That will only happen when they put their ego aside." She replied thinking of Bennet.

"What will happen to Isabelle." Samatha asked.

"Nothing will happen to her." He said reassuring her.

"This place is really beautiful." Ariana said looking at the northern lights.

"This city is really the best." Adrian said in admiration.

"Is Amelia okay, I notice how Logan took her away." She asked in worry.

"She will be. For her coming back in this city is like a nightmare. From what I heard, she trapped people in the city in the memory of the past for twenty years, she nearly trapped Logan as well." He spoke.

"Nearly? How?" Ariana asked.

"She was about to trap a person in his own past when Logan stumbled upon her. He was quick and pinned her on the wall and asked if that was how she planned on meeting her mate." He added.

"Should we go back, I really want to be there for her.

"It’s pointless if you go there, when her body is in shock, she won’t let anyone near her. Only Logan can go near because she would sense him and won’t attack him." He spoke.

"So, it’s like Samatha and Derek?" She asked turning to look at his face.

"No, Samatha’s plants don’t joke. You know plants can hear us, you can’t even a prank on Samatha her plants would be the one to hurt you instead." He replied.

"How is studying?" He asked changing the topic.

Ariana decided to pursue medicine; she would work in the human hospital.

"But I have to put that on hold, training starts soon." She spoke.

After five hours, Amelia and Logan walked downstairs.

"Should we watch a movie." Amelia the others.

"Auntie, are you okay?" Isabelle ran and hugged Amelia’s leg.

"I am fine sweetie." Amelia said ruffling the child’s hair.

Isabelle took Amelia’s hand and walked her to the couch.

"Can we watch Frozen?" Isabelle asked Amelia looking at her with her big eyes, Amelia nodded, and Isabelle smiled and went to cuddle her.

"How is she?" Avery asked when she saw Logan down.

"She’s fine now." Logan said pointing to where Amelia and Isabelle were.

"Isabelle is smart." Austin spoke.

"Yes, she managed to distract her mind." Logan replied.

The movie finished and Amelia walked up to Logan.

"Can we take a walk?" She asked him.

"Sure!" He replied and took her hand.

Logan opened and they started walking, since they lived in the middle of nowhere, they were surrounded by a forest.

Amelia interlocked their hands and turned to look at him with her red eyes. Logan felt her gaze and turned to look at her, he looked at her blond hair that was being blown by the wind.

"Do you want to say something." He asked and she nodded.

"Where do you want to sit?" He asked her.

"There!" She said pointing at the tree.

"You want to sit in the tree." He asked making sure.

"Hmm!" She nodded.

They flew up and sat in the tree, Amelia at the view which was filled with flowers that Samatha made.

"I could never thank you for saving me back then." She spoke looking ahead.

"You’re my mate, why are you thanking me?" He asked frowning.

"Back then I had lost my way." She replied.

"It was not your fault; you were just young when you lost your parents." Logan spoke softly.

"What if they don’t take it serious again, I can’t lose you." She said turning to him.

"You won’t lose me; I am sure they’ll take it serious this time." He said pulling her body closer to him.

"Our family start with training tomorrow, don’t worry." He said trying to comfort her.

"Logan, this army is nothing like before. Although I didn’t see much, it was enough to show that it’s not to be underestimate." Amelia said leaning on his shoulder.

"Dylan is going to meet his mate soon." She said changing the topic.

"Do you know who she is?" Logan asked.

"Yes, but I want to be a shocking surprise to you all." She said with smirk.

"Adrian let’s go back home, I want to check on Amelia." Ariana spoke.

"Okay!" He replied and they went back home.

"Where is Amelia?" Ariana asked when they arrived.

"She went on a walk with Logan." Samatha replied.

"Honey are you hungry." Samatha asked Isabelle.

"Yes mommy." Isabelle replied looking at her with her big innocent eyes.

Samatha bit her hand and offered it to Isabelle. Isabelle took her mother’s hand and drank the blood.

Adrian and Ariana went to sit at the pool, they sat at the edge of the pool and only put their feet inside the water.

"Adrian!" She called his name.

"Hmm!" He replied.

"I never dreamt that my life would turn out like this." She said swinging her feet in the water.

"I never asked you how you think of this world of ours." He asked her.
