At night, the little one, who was originally going to sleep with Qin Yuhan, insisted on going to Wu Tian's room. Qin Yuhan agreed, so the little one happily ran to his room.

She jumped onto Wu Tian's bed. He was lying prone, and the little one climbed onto his back and started bouncing up and down. For Wu Tian, this felt like a massage. With the body of an Immortal Emperor, he was impervious to harm but not numb. Aside from pain or a tingling sensation, he could still feel everything else.

"Dad, does it feel good?" the little one asked, hopping on Wu Tian's back. After a while, she sat down and began to knead his shoulders.

"It feels great. You're doing a good job," Wu Tian affirmed, then lazily added, "Girl, give your dad more massages in the future, okay?"

"Yes," the little one on Wu Tian's back agreed promptly. But when she saw that Wu Tian didn't turn his head, she pouted. Are you kidding me? Who would massage you every day for free? Once in a while is okay, but doing it all the time is out of the question. I'm destined for greater things, to be the boss of all living beings, not some massage therapist! If I do this too often, it might become a habit, and that would be terrible.

The little one had no idea that her changing expressions couldn't escape Wu Tian's Spiritual Sense, but he didn't mind and just smiled. Suddenly, his Spiritual Sense detected that Qin Yuhan had left her room and was now outside his door, eavesdropping. A mischievous smile touched Wu Tian's lips as he asked, "Girl, who do you love more, your mom or your dad?"

Qin Yuhan had just arrived outside the door when she heard this question. She remained quiet, wanting to know the answer herself. Logically, the little one should choose me. I'm the one who gave birth to her, and for the four years Wu Tian was gone, I was the one who slept with her every night. She should choose me, right? But Qin Yuhan wasn't certain.

Since Wu Tian returned, the little one seems to have become his biggest fan, sticking with him all day. She used to be such a proper little lady, but now she's turned into a little 'Witch'! Qin Yuhan was convinced this was all Wu Tian's influence. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

If Wu Tian knew what Qin Yuhan was thinking, he would have cried foul. This was an injustice more grievous than the false charges against General Yue Fei or the wrongful conviction of Dou E.

Was the little one ever a proper lady before? No. It was just that with her father absent and her mother, Qin Yuhan, often at the company, she didn't have many opportunities to act out, so she appeared quiet. In reality, she had long wanted to be a 'Witch,' and it had absolutely nothing to do with Wu Tian.

In the room, the little one's eyes twinkled as she said, "Of course, I like Dad best."

"Really?" Wu Tian asked.

"Really," the little one nodded. Mom isn't here, so of course I'll say I like Dad best.

"Then dare to say it louder?" Wu Tian said with a smile.

The little one nodded. Even if I'm a little louder, Mom won't hear me from the other room. What's there to be afraid of?

"I love Dad the most!" she declared, raising her voice.

Wu Tian nodded with satisfaction.

Outside the door, Qin Yuhan let out a huff before returning to her room to sleep.

The little one still didn't know she had been tricked by Wu Tian. She was always the one tricking others; it had never occurred to her that someone else might trick her, least of all her own dad.

Both Wu Tian and the little one practiced the Mystic Arts. The Spiritual Energy in their bodies meant they could go without sleep and not feel tired. Throughout the night, Wu Tian taught the little one a great deal about Medical Techniques, and she was a quick learner.

「The next morning」

The little one finally got out of bed. Just as she came downstairs, she saw Qin Yuhan heading out. Qin Yuhan usually went to buy breakfast around this time, and the whole family would eat together before she left for work.

"Mommy, I want soft bread!" the little one immediately called out.

"The store is out of stock," Qin Yuhan replied with a smile.

"Then... then I want an egg-yolk pie," the little one said.

"Sorry, the store is probably out of that too," Qin Yuhan said.

This is unexpected. How could Mom know the store is out of stock when she hasn't even gone yet?

"Then I want to drink coconut milk," the little one insisted.

Qin Yuhan shook her head. "I think that's out of stock too, sweetheart."

The little one was speechless. I'm not stupid; I'm one of the smartest kids around. Mom must be upset about something. Maybe she's on her period.

The little one immediately ran up and hugged Qin Yuhan's leg. She put on her cutest face and chirped, "Mommy, I love you the most!"

Qin Yuhan chuckled. "Well, I might not love you anymore."

Her reply was so unexpected that it left the little one utterly flabbergasted. This isn't how it's supposed to go! Mom always says she loves me.

"Mommy, why?" the little one asked unhappily. "Is it because I have a little sister now? No..."

Seeing the little one looking as if she were about to fall apart, Qin Yuhan couldn't hold it in any longer and burst out laughing. "Alright, alright, I'll go buy you the soft bread, egg-yolk pie, and milk."

With that, Qin Yuhan left.

The little one stood there, wondering where things had gone wrong. No matter how hard she thought, she couldn't figure it out.

After breakfast, Qin Yuhan went to work, and Wu Tian took the little one to Xia Qian's herbal medicine company. After all, how could one learn Medical Techniques without getting acquainted with some herbs?

On the way, the little one still had a puzzled expression, lost in thought.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Wu Tian asked.

"Mommy doesn't seem to love me as much anymore. Why do you think that is?" the little one asked in her sweet, childlike voice, her big, adorable eyes looking to Wu Tian, hoping her amazing dad could help her find the reason.

It was a classic case of the one involved being too close to see the truth. Wu Tian hadn't expected the little one to be brooding over this, and he just chuckled. "I don't know either."

As they reached the street in front of the herbal medicine company, Wu Tian and the little one encountered two people who were just being escorted out.

Wu Tian and the little one recognized one of them: Zhang Fengtian. He was once a renowned doctor in Yang City who treated only the wealthy, with his fees starting at the cost of an entire hospital.

Zhang Fengtian yelled back at the company building, "My teacher just wanted to collaborate with you on researching the Essence Liquid for the herbal face masks! It was to strive for perfection and for mutual benefit, but you refused? You people don't know what's good for you!"

Next to Zhang Fengtian stood an elder who also looked displeased. "Forget it. Let's go," the old man said. This elder had a full head of white hair and wore a white lab coat, giving him the appearance of a medical professor. He wore gold-rimmed glasses, and Wu Tian could tell the rims were made of real gold; the man was clearly very wealthy.

Just as the elder and Zhang Fengtian were preparing to leave, Zhang Fengtian turned his head and spotted Wu Tian and the little one.

He immediately said to the elder, "Teacher, that's him! He's the one who ruined the reputation I spent years building in Yang City!"
