Return of the Mythic Bloodline-Chapter 351: The Medicinal Hall
"Cultivate in closed-door cultivation and attempt to break through to the next stage," I ordered, my voice firm.
"B-but, Your Highness, the disciples—"
"I will take care of them," I said before Master Robert could voice his concerns. "They have lived lavishly for far too long. I will show them the true hell of training and mold them into warriors before the Azure Sky Competition. I cannot allow the offspring of the warriors I once fought alongside to remain this pathetically weak."
Master Robert gazed at me for a few seconds before speaking, a faint smile curling across his wrinkled face. "The Thunderbane Sect is in good hands. I have no worries now."
He rose from the floor and moved toward the small table placed at the center of the room. Taking out a pen and dozens of sheets of paper from his space ring, he began writing something on them.
After finishing the letters, he sealed them with his mark and handed them to me.
"Your Highness, please deliver these letters to each Hall Master," he said. "They are all trustworthy, and I can vouch for their loyalty. In these letters, I have mentioned that I have taken you as my direct disciple, so you will not face opposition from any Hall Master while training the young Thunderbanes."
He grabbed most of the Soul Stones I had given him, leaving only two for himself, and extended his arms toward me, filled with Soul Stones. "Give these to the Medicinal Hall Master. With her talent, she can concoct high-tier pills using these Soul Stones that will help the other Hall Masters achieve instant breakthroughs."
I placed the Soul Stones and the letters into my space ring and replied, "I will certainly ask her to prepare the pills, but they will all belong to you. I will provide her with additional Soul Stones to create pills for herself and the other Hall Masters."
Master Robert’s eyes widened in shock. He must have been wondering just how many High-Tier Soul Stones I truly possessed.
From his reaction alone, I could tell he might have fainted if I revealed that I also possessed a Grade 1 High-Tier Soul Stone as large as an adult human.
"I expect positive results from you before the Azure Sky Competition," I said as I left his room.
After leaving the Main Hall, I visited the other halls, delivering the letters to each Hall Master. Most of them wore expressions of sheer shock and surprise as they read the contents.
While reading, they glanced at me with sharp and curious eyes but refrained from asking any questions.
Their curiosity was justified. Apart from my father, uncle, and the five wardens, Master Robert had never taken a direct disciple. And now, after all these years, he had chosen another one, which was already shocking enough given his old age. But what stunned them the most was that this disciple was not even a Thunderbane, not to mention that it had barely been a week since I arrived here.
"This is the final place," I murmured, standing before the Medicinal Hall.
It was only a hall in name. The Medicinal Hall was more like a sect of its own. Within the boundaries of the sect, forty percent of the territory belonged to the Medicinal Hall. Not to mention, the entire back of the mountain also fell under its jurisdiction.
In the Hundred Sky Mountains, each sect had chosen the mountain with the greatest affinity for their element. Everfrost Peak belonged to the Snowbanes, Everbloom Peak to the Flowerbanes, Everroot Peak to the Rockbanes, Everblaze Peak to the Flamebanes, Everstorm Peak to the Windbanes, and Everflow Peak to the Waterbanes.
The environment of these mountains was ideal for the growth of medicines and herbs required by the members of their respective sects.
However, Heaven’s Last Step, where the Thunderbanes resided, was different. Although the entire Hundred Sky Mountains were blessed by the heavens, this peak received the greatest blessings. Here, herbs that required extreme cold or those that could only grow under lava bloomed under the same temperature and environment.
This was the reason the Medicinal Hall was granted the largest share of the mountain. They cultivated herbs and traded them with other sects in exchange for Soul Stones. It was also the sect’s only source of income. However, since most sects had their own Medicinal Halls, their sales were not particularly strong.
Inside the hall, I met the Hall Master and handed her the letter. Her body appeared to be around the same age as Master Robert. Grey hair, a wrinkled face, a slightly hunched back, and black eyes. She was Virelia El Thunderbane, Lyra’s grandmother and the sister of my late maternal grandmother.
"Along with the letter, Master Robert also gave me these Soul Stones," I said, taking out fifty kilograms of Grade 2 High-Tier Soul Stones from my space ring. "Prepare twenty Thunder Tribulation Pills of Grade 1 Mid-Tier affinity and ten of Grade 2 affinity. Keep the remaining Soul Stones for future use. Eleven of the Grade 1 pills must be given to each Hall Master, while the remaining nine and the Grade 2 pills should be delivered to Master Robert in the Main Hall. This is what Master Robert instructed me to convey."
While I explained everything to her, her eyes remained locked on the luminous Soul Stones before her, an utterly shocked expression spreading across her face.
"Master Virelia," I called again, and only then did she suddenly lift her gaze to look at me.
Don’t tell me I have to explain everything to her, I sighed inwardly, frowning.
"I heard you clearly," she said, noticing the frown on my face. "Now get out and let me work with these babies—I mean, I need to concoct the pills with them." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"Umm, Master Virelia, do you have the Heavenly Thunder Refinement Pill?" I asked.
"Here, take it and leave," she replied, tossing a jade bottle toward me that she had just taken out from her space ring.
Her eyes burned with excitement, and I could already see hundreds of possibilities forming in her mind for how to use these Soul Stones. She did not even bat an eye while handing me the precious pills, which were the highest-ranked Mid-Tier pills.
She was the Medicinal Hall’s Sect Master through and through.
At least she did not question the origin of the stones or give me the same probing looks that the other Hall Masters had after reading the contents of Master Robert’s letter.
Leaving her with her babies—I mean the Soul Stones, I departed and made my way to the zenith of the mountain.
"These pills will be helpful for Mother," I murmured as I opened the royal gates. However, what awaited me inside was not what I had expected to see.
