Sam and the Players just sat there on the ground as they waited for the time to pass.

The final night mode is about to begin.

The players are a bit confused about why Sam did such a thing. They know for sure that this Night node is going to be much more difficult compared to all the night modes they experienced until now.

And they are in no shape to fight it. They believed even for Sam it will be extremely difficult. They get it that Sam wants some extra points so he increased the difficulty on his own.

But they think Sam pushed it to the extreme and dug himself deeper into a hole at the moment.

Even if they are in their top shape, they know that dealing with laser mode, light fusion and shadow fusion is very tough, particularly the kind Sam uses. They are derived from the blood lines of the best of the best.

They are kind of scared about what kind of monsters these undead creatures would be.

While the players are waiting, Sam did something else.

After taking some rest, he went ahead and started checking out the city with his observation ability. He used the observation ability to the full extent. He even borrowed the mental strength of all his specters to maximize its ability.

Only after putting that much effort did he manage to see something within that formation.

Even though this whole fight has been a new experience, Sam would be stupid if he didn't take the opportunity to learn from this.

A formation that would transition on this level. Literally, between night and day. Whatever it is, and however it is working, it is something beyond Sam's level at this point. He should be able to figure out how this thing works.

Even if he gained very few insights, he should be able to make something out of it.

So, while the players are trying to think of a way to make sense of how they would make something out of the last night mode, Sam is studying. He went as far as taking notes and doing calculations.

With his mind being that busy, time passed without even knowing.

Sun started setting.

Sam was excited by the learnings he had. The things this formation showed him, even at this level he couldn't fathom.

He always felt that he is moving closer and closer to the highest level of power. But if there is someone out there who is not at the highest level but still could create something like this, then he has ways to go.

He has challenges that he has yet to explore.

He felt bad that the avenues are closing down soon. His organization and the power that the organization wielded became so big that things just happen even him without moving a finger. But now, he has something to look forward to and this formation might just be the starting step.

As he got ready to finish this battle off with this newfound excitement, Noah walked to Sam and asked.

"How were you able to predict all our actions this time?"

"Because you guys are smart."

Sam answered without even a pause as he adjusted the feather coat a bit.

"What do you mean?" She asked in confusion. She still couldn't understand how Sam managed to trick them all into doing his bidding. She couldn't understand how she fell into his trap, as she was the only one who could see through his actions most of the time.

"You guys are smart. So, I know you will notice how I am behaving recently. I am angry and rageful. And I am enduring so much waiting for an opportunity like this.

I was also a bit unhinged from the past couple of challenges.

The only problem is, you guys wanted to be too smart.

You wanted to be as smart as I am and tried to think like me. But too bad, our brains are not of the same capacity. I know that you will estimate my mental state and provide a scenario where your estimations appear to be confirmed.

And we know how it all turned out.

All of you are on your last legs. I still have around one-fourth of my energy left. The best part, this is the last round and I know exactly how many creatures are going to come and how they are going to attack me.

It is that simple."

"So, you bet everything on us reacting to this?"

"No, I didn't bet. I know that you are going to do this. You have consistently proven to me that you will never believe me a hundred percent no matter what I offered.

And the better the offer sounds to you, the more cautious you are about it.

My words... just take them seriously from now on Noah. Stop thinking about what I am trying to get by offering good deals to you guys. I don't need deception to deal with you guys. That is beneath me.

In fact, it is a bit insulting for you to think I will stoop to that level in a competition where my win is guaranteed.

Anyway, the sun has set. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

I will show the ways that I have never ever fought before."

As he finished his sentence, the city started transitioning.

After it went to night mode, Noah contemplated as she went back to the rest of the players. She started thinking about what Sam said and couldn't help but introspect. Meanwhile, Sam stood on his hoverboard and took a high-altitude position to take a look at how things are going on.

He looked in three different directions.

From one side, he saw three bright glowing spots appear. Where three undead in laser mode stand. It is not as bright as Sam's own, but it is right up there.

And then there are two blazing spots in a different place. They are from the earth element users that Sam has killed.

And finally, the last one. The shadow fusion undead which he actually couldn't see.

Sam is not surprised because of that though. He already moved far away from the spot where he killed that last target. He knew the threat this shadow undead possessed with most of Sam's capabilities drilled into it.

But he is not afraid, just cautious.

He looked at the three lasers that are the first to make their move.

They crossed the distance in less than a second before they arrived in front of his face. But Sam already estimated this. Harbinger disappeared into his storage, while he reappeared in a different spot in the air because of his spatial blink.

He is fast and efficient.

He didn't wait for even a moment before he disappeared from there and reappeared at a different spot.

Usually, this laser should be as fast as light, but it is not exactly possible. Because even Sam never really tried to push his light elemental fusion to travel at the actual speed of light and he even toned down his speed a bit when he is killing the undead.

And the laser fusion is almost exclusive to him. Very few people in the whole universe would be able to use it even if they have it.

So, the formation will have a much harder time creating a replica that has the same attack level as Sam and it is showing.

It is giving him enough time for Sam to use his blink.

Sam kept on disappearing and reappearing in different spots, but he never touched the ground and he didn't move over a large area. His movements are limited to a very specific part of the city.

At the start, the actions of the three lasers are pretty much the same. So, it isn't difficult for him to dodge those lasers. But with every major and sudden blink he did, he managed to throw the movement of these lasers a bit async.

For the next two minutes, Sam just kept on dodging. As for the two fiery undead and the shadow undead, the latter didn't show any action.

The fiery undead, on the other hand, arrived and tried to join the fray, but with Sam's speed, they don't have any impact. He also noticed that they are throwing concentrated fire infernos in a cylindrical and focused way.

Only their timing is off by a long shot as of now with Spatial blink making Sam extremely mobile.

As the lasers continued on, Sam noticed that two of they are kind of in sync, they are parallel and together almost. But the third one is astray.

All of a sudden, Sam suddenly reappeared from the area he was covering before. Not just anywhere though, he deliberately appeared in a direction that is closer to the strayed laser.

So, that one moved a bit faster than the rest.

But as Sam appeared, he took out his handgun before disappearing with it again.
