Chapter 1782: Desire Kinship

Xie Limo pressed upon Yun Bixue’s shoulders. He didn’t wish to see her behave like this. He had thought that she would be happy to hear this.

Yun Bixue shook her head, her face rather pale, still in disbelief.

Xie Limo worried that Yun Bixue was feeling unwell, so he helped her sit down, then asked the servants to bring her hot milk.

“Ah Xue, drink this first.”

Yun Bixue’s mind was blank now, so she could only listen to Xie Limo instinctively and finish the milk.

After finishing the milk, her entire body felt warm. Having recovered her calmness and rationality, she turned to Xie Limo with a fragile look in her gaze.

Xie Limo held Yun Bixue’s shoulders and kissed her forehead, reassuring her, “Ah Xue, even if you meet something depressing, don’t feel conflicted. I will be by your side.”

Xie Limo then grabbed both of Yun Bixue’s hands with one hand.

Yun Bixue could sense the warmth from his palms, and her entire body and heart started warming up too.

“Limo, say, is Wang Qianjin my kin?”

Xie Limo nodded. “Although I have yet to verify it, I think Wang Qianjin should have done the verification. Otherwise, he wouldn’t let slip any opportunity to talk terms with me.”

Yun Bixue then recalled what it was like when Wang Qianjin called, carefully recalling each sentence. At that time, she felt it was weird, but come to think of it, if they were truly related by blood, it would make sense.

She also now understood why he said he would harm anyone but her and Grandfather.

Plus, he had called her grandfather as Grandfather. He also said that if Xie Limo mistreated her, he wouldn’t let Xie Limo off.

She had felt astonished at the time, wondering why he said something like that. But the weirder it was, it meant the more problematic the matter was. So, it turned out that he was truly blood related to her.

“But, Limo, I clearly remember Father and Mother only gave birth to me and Bilu.”

Xie Limo stroked Yun Bixue’s hair and said, “He doesn’t necessarily have to be the child of your parents. He’s perhaps another form of kin. An additional kin, an additional person who loves you.”

Yun Bixue thought about Wang Qianjin and how she had been avoiding him in the past, not daring to trust him completely.

But carefully thinking about this, Wang Qianjin had really rescued and helped her many times. He clearly had many chances to kill her, or state conditions with her, but he didn’t do that.

He saved her, and that was a fact. If he was truly her kin, she felt apologetic about her past attitude towards him.

“Ah Xue, use your heart to think and feel. How has he treated you previously?”

“Limo, honestly speaking, others say that Young Master Wang was demon-like, moody, unpredictable, and acts ruthlessly. But in my eyes, I feel that his nature actually isn’t too bad. I, too, had many opportunities to kill him, but I instinctively didn’t want to do so.”

Xie Limo gazed at Yun Bixue in a gentle and reassuring manner, trying to soothe the fluster in her heart. “Ah Xue, actually, blood relations is a marvelous thing. Even if you might not know each other, when you face each other, you will still feel a closeness to that person. Perhaps you might have ignored that, but you can’t make yourself kill the other party. This is instinct.”

“Instinct?”

“That’s right. With me around, don’t worry about Grandfather’s matter.”

Yun Bixue’s expression was rather tense. Under Xie Limo’s reassurance, however, she heaved a sigh of relief and said, “Limo, I can’t quite accept this. It’s too sudden. But I know I desire having one more kin in my heart. I desire kinship.”
